PHP - Order Form With Validator Not Working
Ok, so I used to be very good in HTML, PHP, and JS, but it's been a long time since I used it. been trying to make just a simple order form for a friends business. Though I wanted it to do server side validation and emailing... But it doesn't do anything.... on submit I get no errors when there are and with no errors I get no email to my inbox..
What it is supposed to do is gather what pictures they checked and their sizes as well as a person info and email it to an email address. Though I want it to check for required areas and correct input (like email has @ and a .com in it, zip is digits only, etc... My form requires a NAME and a SERIAL to be inputted and the SERIAL must be all numbers. I tested the validator by leaving NAME blank in my form and SERIAL all letters. I am an absolute beginner when it comes to PHP and Javascript but wanted a simple contact form for my website. I used the PHP code from one source and the Javascript validator code from another source and all is working fine except for one very annoying bug: I have to press the Submit button twice in order for the form to send the email. I've found that if the validator is already triggered, however, I only need to press the button once for it to submit. I have scoured the internet for a solution to this problem but am realizing this must be a hangup in the particular code I'm using and I'm just not experienced enough to troubleshoot it.
A little help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I have posted this problem in the PHP section but someone suggested I take it here because the hangup is likely in the JS. I have tried removing the JS validator with varying results; sometimes the form still requires double-clicking and sometimes it works fine. Please see my original post below:
Currently I have where the User can search for records, then the records are displayed on a page. I basically want to show the records from newest to oldest, but I also want to show the Featured projects first. Each Featured project is marked by "1" in the mysql table column. If it's not featured, then it's marked "0".

The issue with above query is that the ORDER BY works only for the first component(project_id) and ignores the second component(featured). Do you see what's wrong with it? So a bunch of shapes and that's it.
I load it (imagecreatefrompng) and I'm filling the zipcodes with color based on coordinates of a spot in the zipcode and a color relevant to information about it.
If I use imagefill (or imagefilltoborder) to fill a zip code it works great.
But - I also need to apply text and lines to that image on top of those filled shapes.
My problem is it's always doing the fill last no matter what order I put it in the code - so anywhere a line crosses a zipcode it only gets half filled in.
For example I attached an image - if i turn off the lines the white box is filled in with a shade of red. Not a great example since I think the line is right on top of the coordinate of the fill but it does it all over the image.
What am I missing? Is there not a way to choose the order your draw to the image object? Is there a way to apply a change before doign the next one short of writing and reloading the file? I have an ordering process that consists of 3 pages: 1) Page1: Enter name/address 2) Page2: Based on address, determine availability of products, and let user choose which products, how many, etc. 3) Page3: Enter credit card info to send to the processor What is the best way to store information fro page 1 to page 2, then from page 2 to page 3? In reference to my first attached image, I have a form which displays two SELECT/drop-down fields (labeled "Store Name" and "Item Description".....and both of which pull-in values from two separate lookup/master tables, in addition to providing an additional option each for "NEW STORE" and "NEW ITEM").
Now, when first-run, and/or if "NEW STORE" and "NEW ITEM" are not selected from the drop-down's then the two fields in green ("New Store Name" and "New Item Name" are hidden, by means of the following code:

All of that is working just fine. The problem I'm having is that when I click the "Create" button, after having left any one of the form fields blank, the two "New Name" fields are hidden again, which I don't want to happen i.e. I want them to remain visible (since the values of "store_id" and/or "item_id" are "OTH"), so that the user can enter values into one or both of them, without havng to click on the drop-down a second time in order to execute the "on-click" code.
The second attached image shows how the fields are hidden, after clicking "Create".
How can I achieve that? It would be greate if someone could cobble-up the required code and provide it to me, since I'm relatively new to this.

Hi, I modified the php.net's xml validate function slightly to just print "Valid XML" or else print all the errors, but it is not working. It keeps outputting "Valid XML" even though I intentionally appended "SS" to the closing message tag. W3C is tell me to not use "&" symbol and that instead escape it as &
So what do I just replace & with & in all my links?
Hi, I found this very good tutorial at IBM's site: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/xml/library/x-validxphp/ BUT my question is, what if any arbitrary XML file is passed passed to this xml validator function as parameter (that I will soon write), so meaning there may not be an xml schema created, so how would I validate it then b/c the link above assumes there a schema is made to use to validate.
