PHP - I Don't Get It. - Database Echo.

My issue is that the second output of entry id works fine. The first output, being the more important, does not, even though they are identical. This will probably be something ridiculously stupid. The question is, can an image be echoed onto that results page based on which make and model has been searched for? The image is stored in a field called "Image_Van" so would need to display that depending on the row in that database that has been selected from Make & Model... I would aprreciate your help guys, I have peice of code which is designed enter a question into a database and the username of the person who asks the question. However, the code enters <?php echo Array; ?> into the database and not 'Tom'. I am using the same code which inserts the category of the question in the database which works. But the username comes up as <?php echo Array; ?>. Does anyone know why it shows "array"? I try to echo out random lines of a html file and want after submit password to whole content of the same html file. I have two Problems.
1st Problem When I echo out the random lines of the html file I don't get just the text but the code of the html file as well. I don't want that. I just want the text. How to do that?

I tried instead of "file("$filename.html");" "readfile("$filename.html");" But then I get the random lines plus the whole content. Is there anything else I can use instead of file so that I get the random lines of text without the html code?P.S file_get_contents doesn't work either have tried that one.
2nd Problem:
As you could see in my first problem I have a file called $filename.html. After I submit the value of a password I want the whole content. But it is like the program did forget what $filename.html is. How can I make the program remember what $filename.html is? Or with other words how to get the whole content of the html file?

I have a very tricky php problem here. At least for me. On a page that is editing a job entry. I have a database generated group of checkboxes some of which have been checked when the job was entered. So the script has to do two things generate the complete list of checkboxes and check the ones that have already been selected in the job request. The below script is what I've done trying to figure it out. Description of what I'm trying to do: I'm generating the the boxes with a call to my database for the list of checkboxes. Users can then edit their data then submit it to page called editform.php that does the update. All works well except that the page does not display the updated info.
