I Have field in my table with max length (10).
My data is only (5) characters. ex: "apple"

I want to output "apple     ". with extra (5) space.

Max Length: (10) - (5 characters: apple) = 5 extra white space to be added when outputting fruit.

I know can echo it as $row['fruit'] . "     "; < == manually, but I want it to be automated based on the number of "max_length" from my field in my table/database.

can you run a query says every 60 seconds with out refreshing the entire page? at the moment im using <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="60;url=login_success.php">

Hi there im not quite sure where im going wrong here.

I have 2 queries; the first selects all records in a table == Session username. The second selects all records in a table <> Session username

Both work independently but when i try to compare a field in each table (The: PlanetName) it doesnt work. Im trying to make it so that if the same PlanetName is in  the first query and the second in any of the records it will output an ID.

My site http://bittleships.com is a simple online battleships game. Theres a 1088 cell grid where each cell is a mysql database entry containing details wether its been clicked, if theres a boat in the location etc.

the site usually loads all the querys in 0.3 seconds, but when 5 or more people are playing this easily hits 1+ seconds.

i am currently making my website with an uploadform. The upload function is working, but now i am trying to make the site remember the last 5 uploads. The filenames should appear in an array:
$aotf[0]
$aotf[1]
$aotf[2]
$aotf[3]
$aotf[4]
and since all files that can be/are uploaded are images, i want them to be drawed next to each other, each 128x128. THAT is working, but the fetch for images doesn't. When an image is uploaded, i execute this code:

when i open the page, all img src's are empty. The writing works, and the folder of the image is 7777 chmod and the images draw on the screen, but not as the last uploaded. Does anyone know how to make this work? maybe even without a fwrite?

EDIT: i cannot use mysql

I have designed and created a ecommerce website that allows the user to add products to a shopping cart and for the admin to edit the inventory list. However i would like to have a navigational bar on the website where the user can choose a brand of product and the webpage shows only that brand. I know i can do this by using the WHERE command in a query however would i have to make a separate web page for each brand?

When I submit my form the variables are sent to the url in my address bar and not to the php post page (resersend.php).

I have a status system, built with ajax, and I need to get the unique id that the database assigns to the post and return it in the results that are appended to the page via javascript, however I'm not sure how the bessst way would be to do this? I have been doing this:

I have form in that i am sending some values using POST method. But i cant able to get values using $_POST['var'] or $_REQEUST['var'] Data is not coming in IE6,

But it is coming in firefox and other browsers even in IE8.

What may be problem? any settings i have to make for IE6. ?

I need some help displaying the posted values onto a second page. I thought I was doing it right, but nothing is showing up on my second page. I have my form set to PHP_SELF to validate before sending the user to the second page, and it's working just fine. If no errors are present, the user is redirected to the second page, but it's supposed to be displaying their posted data, but it's not. What am I doing wrong?

It's just displaying the table but with no values or blank values for the posted variables. Can anyone help?

How can I prioritize the data posted.  Right now this if statements are being posted at different times.  If I hit submit and all the if statements post to mysql it is saying that they all receive the same time stamp, but the data is never posted in the same order.  Can I order the posting process in php?
