PHP - Form Class Radio Field Positioning Issue
I am doing some practice with classes. MY class below echoes out input and radio fields based on the instantiation of the Form class (the code below is working!), but I am trying to resolve how to get my form radio fields so they are not in between every other form field as they are supposed to be next to eachother. If you run the below, you will see what I mean. And also is my approach at all sensible? I am only doing this for learning experience, so any advice please.
<?php class Form { private $fields = array(); private $radios = array(); private $actionValue; private $submit = "Submit Form"; private $Nradios = 0; private $Nfields = 0; function __construct($actionValue, $submit) { $this->actionValue = $actionValue; $this->submit = $submit; } function displayForm() { echo "<form action='{$this->actionValue}' method='post'>\n\n"; for ($j = 1, $i = 1; $j <= sizeof($this->fields), $i <= sizeof($this->radios); $j++, $i++) { echo "<p>\n<label>{$this->fields[$j-1]['label']} : </label>\n"; echo "<input type='text' name='{$this->fields[$j-1]['name']}'>\n</p>\n\n"; echo "<p>\n<label>{$this->radios[$i-1]['rlabel']} : </label>\n"; echo "\n<input type='radio' name='{$this->radios[$i-1]['rname']}' value='{$this->radios[$i-1]['rvalue']}'>\n</p>\n\n"; } echo "\n\n<input type='submit' value='{$this->submit}'>\n</form>"; } function addField($name, $label) { $this->fields[$this->Nfields]['name'] = $name; $this->fields[$this->Nfields]['label'] = $label; $this->Nfields = $this->Nfields + 1; } function addRadio($rname, $rvalue, $rlabel) { $this->radios[$this->Nradios]['rname'] = $rname; $this->radios[$this->Nradios]['rvalue'] = $rvalue; $this->radios[$this->Nradios]['rlabel'] = $rlabel; $this->Nradios = $this->Nradios + 1; } } ?> <?php $contact_form = new Form("process.php", "Submit Data >>"); $contact_form->addField("first_name", "First Name"); $contact_form->addField("last_name", "Last Name"); $contact_form->addRadio("gender", "male", "Male"); $contact_form->addRadio("gender", "femail", "Female"); $contact_form->displayForm(); ?> Similar Tutorialswould anyone know how to assign the value (value returned by some function in the class) of variable $temp in the class: source looks like: class newRecord{ var $temp = listCat('gallery_menu', 'submenu', 'submenu_id'); ////// this line is not working, does not assign? function listCat($table, $submenu, $submenu_id) { $return = '<select name="'.$submenu_id.'" id="'.$submenu_id.'">'; $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM $table"); while($row=mysql_fetch_object($result)) { $return = $return.'<option value="'.$row->id.'">'.$row->$submenu.'</option>'; } $return = $return.'</select>'; return $return; } } if function is used out of the class and used in index.php directly, returns expected value of it (there is no doubts - works ok) I have an issue that with some testing on an Access class with a method getControlAccess it should only return true or false but as soon as I place a string of any sort into the return my tests always returns true. Any help to point out if it is the way I am testing or the way I have written the method would be great. In the example below it would return true. In one class I have this method Code: [Select] class Access{ public function getControlAccess(){ return 'I am stuffed'; } } In the second class I have this Code: [Select] class AccessTests extends Access{ public function controlAccessTest(){ $return = "<ul>"; if ($this->getControlAccess() == TRUE){ $return .= "<li>getControlAcess should be true and is returning:<b> ". $this->getControlAccess() ."</b></li>"; } elseif ($this->getControlAccess() == FALSE){ $return .= "<li>getControlAcess should be false and is returning:<b> ". $this->getControlAccess() ."<b></li>"; } else { $return .= "<li>getControlAcess is really stuffed:<b>". $this->getControlAccess() ."<b></li>"; } $return .= "</ul>"; return $return; } public function setAccessTest($set){ return $set; } } I have a basic pagination class, I have used on several pages of a site I am working on. It works fine on 3 of the pages, but when I try to use it on any other pages, or even a new blank page I wrote, it does not work. class Pagination { public $current_page; public $per_page; public $total_count; public function __construct($page=1, $per_page=20, $total_count=0) { $this->current_page = (int)$page; $this->per_page = (int)$per_page; $this->total_count = (int)$total_count; } public function offset(){ return ($this->current_page - 1) * $this->per_page; } public function total_pages(){ return ceil($this->total_count/$this->per_page); } public function previous_page(){ return $this->current_page - 1; } public function next_page(){ return $this->current_page + 1; } public function has_prev_page(){ return $this->previous_page() >= 1 ? true : false; } public function has_next_page(){ return $this->next_page() <= $this->total_pages() ? true : false; } That is the pagination class, and this is the code I use to call it, along with some debugging information I am using. if(isset($_GET['order'])){ $order = $_GET['order']; } else { $order = "id"; } if(isset($_GET['orderby'])){ $order_by = $_GET['orderby']; } else { $order_by = "ASC"; } $page = !empty($_GET['page']) ? (int)$_GET['page'] : 1; $per_page = 2; $sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM orders WHERE customerid = 4"); $result = mysql_fetch_array($sql); $total_count = mysql_num_rows($sql); //$total_count = Order::count_by_cust(4); $pagination = new Pagination($page, $per_page, $total_count); $sql = "SELECT * FROM orders WHERE customerid = 4 ORDER BY {$order} {$order_by} "; $sql .= "LIMIT {$per_page} "; $sql .= "OFFSET {$pagination->offset()}"; $orders = Order::find_by_sql($sql); echo "Page:" . $page . "<br />PerPage:" . $per_page . "<br />Total:" . $total_count . "<br />Total Pages:" . $pagination->total_pages(); ?> SOME FOREACH INFORMATION HERE <?php echo "Has Prev Page:" . $pagination->has_prev_page() . "<br />"; echo "Total Pages:" . $pagination->total_pages() . "<br />"; echo "Has Next Page:" . $pagination->has_next_page() . "<br />"; ?> <div id="pagination" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> <?php if ($pagination->total_pages() > 1){ if ($pagination->has_prev_page() == 1){ echo "<a href=\"orders.php?search&uid={$order->customerid}&order={$order}&orderby={$order_by}&page="; echo $pagination->previous_page(); echo "\">« Previous</a>"; } for($i=1; $i<=$pagination->total_pages(); $i++){ if($i == $page){ echo " <span class=\"selected\">{$i}</span> "; } else { echo " <a href=\"orders.php?search&uid={$order->customerid}&order={$order}&orderby={$order_by}&page={$i}\">{$i}</a> "; } } if ($pagination->has_next_page() == 1){ echo "<a href=\"orders.php?search&uid=" . $order->customerid . "&order=" . $order . "&orderby=" . $order_by . "&page="; echo $pagination->next_page(); echo "\">Next »</a>"; } } ?> </div> The customer ID is dynamic, but for debugging sake I am using the customer ID of 4. The output of the page has the following informaton: Page:1 PerPage:2 Total:15 Total Pages:8 Has Prev Page: Total Pages:8 Has Next Page:1 So i know all the variables are right, the problem is, it only prints a bold "1". Thats all, no numbers, or Next Page option. However i use the EXACT same code in another couple pages, and it works fine, but with this current page and a few others. It does not work. I have also tryed extracting just this information into a blank file to just get the page numbers, taking out all the pages other code, and it still only gives me "1". Any ideas? I am using a PHP class for a web app that works perfectly well when developing on local machine (PHP 5.2) using the NuSphere IDE. NuSphere sees the class, and when I run the app locally everything seems to work, but when i port the app to the host (Linux Ubuntu with Apache2, PHP 5.3, MySQL 5.1 ), the class is not found (using the remote host debugger). The exact mesage is: Class 'ExcelXML' not found at <line of code>. Here is the code snippet: Code: [Select] <?php function setExcelData($sql, $title, $fileName, $idref=0) { $retVal=false; //$fileName=$fileName.'.xml'; $fileName=$fileName.'.xls'; include ('ExcelXML.inc.php'); include_once $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/truck/inc/db.inc.php'; $input = ($idref==0?"blank1.xml":"blank.xml"); // create ExcelXML object $xml = new ExcelXML(); // read template file if (!$xml->read($input)) { echo "Failed to open Tempalate Excel XML file<br>"; } ... ?> Here is the class Code: [Select] <?php /** * Class ExcelXML * Provide functions to modify the content of file in Excel's XML format. * * REQUIRED: * - An ExcelXML file as template * * FEATURES: * - read, modify, and save Excel's XML file * - create download stream as Excel file format (*.xls) * * CHANGELOG: * 06-08-2008 * - Update setCellValue function * - Fix setCellValue bug * 13-07-2008 * - First created * * * @author Herry Ramli (herry13@gmail.com) * @license GPL * @version 0.1.1 * @copyright August 06, 2008 */ class ExcelXML { var $domXML; var $activeWorksheet; function ExcelXML() { } ... ?> The class is in the same folder location as the calling php file. Any ideas? I don't get it. I have read around and can't seem to find the right coding for what I need on this forum and some other other forums. I have a contact form (as listed below) and I need 2 locations (Print Name and Title) fields to auto-populate on a separate form (can be a doc, pdf, etc. any form of document which is easiest) and this form can be totally back end and the individual using the form never is going to see the form. It's going on a contract form, that we would like to auto-populate. Also is there a simple attachment code so individuals can attach documents to the code? <p style: align="center"><form action="mailtest.php" method="POST"> <?php $ipi = getenv("REMOTE_ADDR"); $httprefi = getenv ("HTTP_REFERER"); $httpagenti = getenv ("HTTP_USER_AGENT"); ?> <input type="hidden" name="ip" value="<?php echo $ipi ?>" /> <input type="hidden" name="httpref" value="<?php echo $httprefi ?>" /> <input type="hidden" name="httpagent" value="<?php echo $httpagenti ?>" /> <div align="center"> <p class="style1">Name</p> <input type="text" name="name"> <p class="style1">Address</p> <input type="text" name="address"> <p class="style1">Email</p> <input type="text" name="email"> <p class="style1">Phone</p> <input type="text" name="phone"> <p class="style1">Debtor</p> <input type="text" name="debtor"> <p class="style1">Debtor Address</p> <input type="text" name="debtora"> <br /> <br /> <a href="authoforms.php" target="_blank" style="color:#ffcb00" vlink="#ffcb00">Click here to view Assignment Agreement and Contract Agreement</a> <p class="style1"><input type='checkbox' name='chk' value='I Have read and Agree to the terms.'> I have read and agree to the Assignment and Contract Agreement <br></p> <p class="style1">Print Name</p> <input type="text" name="pname"> <p class="style1">Title</p> <input type="text" name="title"> <p class="style1">I hear by agree that the information I have provided is true, accurate and the information I am submitting is <br /> not fraudulent. I have a client who has a form where they upload files to their server: title, two password fields, and the file
They have been unable to upload anything over 10m
Small (under 10mb) files work.
Larger doesn’t
I’ve tracked it down, I think, that the processing page appears to be dropping the form values when the file takes a bit to upload.
I echo’ed the values that are grabbed from the form, and they return empty strings if it takes a while for the file to upload (a large file) - they pass fine if the file is smaller.
I think I've got the php info set correctly, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to adjust the timing out issue, or even where to troubleshoot.
Here's my phpinfo:

Hey guys, I am a webmaster for my church and I am fairly new to PHP. What am trying to is when a visitor goes to our radio ministry page and clicks a button which the message number is displayed in the read only textbox, it will go to my request CD page and auto populate the message number in that text field form the readonly text field from the previous page. I will show my code for both pages for you to review. This is the Radio page (where I want to take the message number value from) Code: [Select] <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="Living Word Community Church radio ministry" /> <meta name="keywords" content="reformed radio fort worth, reformed radio dallas, biblical radio fort worth, biblical radio dfw" /> <title>In Light of Scripture-Radio Ministry</title> <link href="_css/Main.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <script src="SpryAssets/SpryMenuBar.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <link href="SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> </head> <body> <div class="container"> <div class="header"><a href="index.php"><img src="_images/LWCCWeb.jpg" alt="Insert Logo Here" name="Insert_logo" width="960" height="200" id="Insert_logo" style="background: #D8BF78; display:block;" /></a> <?php include("_includes/header.php"); ?> <div class="sidebar1"> <p></p> <table width="150" border="0" cellpadding="10" align="left"> <tr> <td><a href="directions.php"><img src="_images/ChurchBox.png" width="150" height="125" alt="Directions" /></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><img src="_images/Service Times.png" width="150" height="778" alt="Service Times" /></td> </tr> </table> <!-- end .sidebar1 --></div> <div class="content"> <div id="radio"></div> <table width="600" border="0" cellpadding="10"> <tr> <td><img src="_images/ILOS.png" width="600" height="111" alt="In Light of Scripture" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td style=" padding-top:25px"><p><font size="5"><b>In Light of Scripture</b> has been locally broadcast for more than 25 years.<br /> This Sunday morning radio program features the expositional teaching of Pastor Stan McGehee Jr. </font><p/></td> </tr> </table> <div id="mediagraph"><a href="http://kdkr.org" target="_blank"><img src="_images/kdkr.jpg" width="300" height="200" alt="Braodcast on KDKR 91.3 Sunday Mornings at 7:30" /></a></div> <br /><br /> <font size="2"><p align="center"><b>The sermon featured this week on "In Light of Scipture" is</b></p></font> <font size="2"><p align="center" style="color:#711726"><b><i>Peace Despite Tribulation</i></b></p></font> <div id="messagenumber" align="center"> <form action="" method="get" name="messagenumber"> <input name="" type="text" value="JR-843" size="6" readonly="readonly" /> <input name="GetMessage" type="button" value="Get Message" /> </form> </div> <!-- end .content --></div></div> <div class="sidebar2"> <table width="150" border="0" cellpadding="16" align="left"> <tr> <td><a href="reformation.php"><img src="_images/MenuBox1.png" width="150" height="125" alt="What Do We Mean by Reformed?" /></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><a href="ServiceTimesAndCal.php"><img src="_images/MenuBox2.png" width="150" height="125" alt="Worship Service Schedule and Calendar" /></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><a href="radio.php"><img src="_images/MenuBox3.png" width="150" height="125" alt="In Light of Scripture Radio Ministry" /></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><a href="cable.php"><img src="_images/MenuBox4.png" width="150" height="125" alt="Living Word Today Cable Program" /></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><a href="Sermons.php"><img src="_images/MenuBox5.png" width="150" height="125" alt="Listen to Sermons Online" /></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><a href="http://www.lwcchurch.org/blog/" target="_blank"><img src="_images/MenuBox6.png" width= "150" height="125" alt="Read our reformed blog" /></a></td> </tr> </table> <!-- end .sidebar2 --></div> <?php include("_includes/footer.php"); ?> <!-- end .container --></div> <script type="text/javascript"> var MenuBar1 = new Spry.Widget.MenuBar("MenuBar1", {imgDown:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarDownHover.gif", imgRight:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarRightHover.gif"}); var MenuBar2 = new Spry.Widget.MenuBar("MenuBar2", {imgDown:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarDownHover.gif", imgRight:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarRightHover.gif"}); </script> </body> </html> This is for the CD request form. I'm currently using this code to check the file name of the page and then give the corresponding anchor tag a class of active in order to style my main menu. This is all working for most of my pages but my problem is that I now have multiple files called index.php one in the root of my site and some are in folders. Is there any way around this issue? Can PHP check to see if its the index file in the root of the site or is there a better way. I suppose I could create a second variable in the index file in my root ie my home page and then check to say if the current page is called index and has the variable of home but how would I write this? My code Code: [Select] $currentPage = basename($_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'], '.php'); <li><a href="/" <?php if ($currentPage == 'index') {echo 'class="active"';} ?>>Home</a></li> Hello, I need to set a CSS class for the highest number in a MySQL column, and the second highest. So for instance I have a column named scores. I would want the <td> with highest scores to be <td.Winner> and the second highest to be <td. RunnerUp>. I know how to set the css part up, so just need help with creating a function. I did something similar to set the background of table cells based on the text data and that looked like this. function cssfromdate($date) { $class = array('December_January' => 'January', 'March_April' => 'March'); return $class[$date]; } while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td>" . $row['last_name'] . "</td>\n"; echo "<td>" . ucwords($row['first_name']) . "</td>\n"; echo "<td class=\"".cssfromdate($row['Class_Date'])."\">".$row['Class_Date']."</td>\n"; echo "</tr>"; } I am hoping I can accomplish what I need to doing something similar. Hi people,
I'm new to PHP, and I'm having some real difficulties with trying to re-populate a radio button selection on a form.
Basically, I'm working on a WordPress plugin which uses custom fields to create a Bet custom post type.
I need to have my form submit the user input, then re-populate it so that if the user wants to edit and update the Bet data, they don't have to fill in the whole form details again, they can just edit what they need to, and update (re-submit) the form.
I've managed to get all of the form elements re-populating, apart from a radio button. I've been trawling round the internet for most of yesterday evening and this morning, trying different things, but nothing I've found works for me.
I'd really appreciate some help if anyone knows how to do this.
Here's my code so far (non working)
<?php Just a quick help here... When you click click this radio button. <input type="radio" name="radio" id="radio_id_card" /> ID Card it will open the form below the radio button. <form> First Name: <input type="text" name="textfield" id="textfield" /> Last Name: <input type="text" name="textfield" id="textfield" /> <input type="submit" id="Send" value="Submit" /> </form> ------------------------------- hope someone can help me... i really have a bad time thinking of ways to do it.. thank you in advance.. hi, I would like to know how do i modify this code if i Have more than 1 option in my dropdown list. Can someone help..Thankz <select name="mediaList" id="mediaList"> <option <?php echo ($rows['media_type'] =='Physical Only')?'selected="Selected"':'';?> >Physical Only</option> </select> Hello All,
I'm kinda new to PHP and web development and I seem to have a very wierd problem which is driving me nuts (for the last 2 days)...so I'd appreciate any and all help in getting it resolved.
Okay, so here's the problem:
In the code below, I used to have just the first statement below...which essentially accepted input as a textbox for a text field named qty_pkg (in the underlying MySQL table)...and that used to work just fine.
So then I decided to change the input type for that field to be a radio button, accepting one of two choices i.e. "UoM" or "Qty", and therefore I added the remainder of the code, whilst also commenting/remarking out the first statement.
What happens (when I added the radiobutton-related code) is that control no longer goes into the TRUE portion/logic of the "if ( !empty($_POST))" condition-check, but rather, it seems to go into the "ELSE/FALSE" portion of that conditional check. However, a record does get added to my table, even though I do not have an "INSERT INTO..." clause in the ELSE porition of that check. Also, what gets displayed on screen is as follows:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Array()
There's something wrong somewhere!!!
Array()
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, if/when I comment/remark the radiobutton-related code, the "if ( !empty($_POST))" logic seems to work fine and the following is displayed on screen (which is what I expect):
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Array ( [datepicker] => 10/30/2014 [store_id] => 48 [new_store_name] => [item_id] => 5 [new_item_name] => [pkg_of] => 1 [price] => 1 [flyer_page] => 1 [limited_time_sale] => Array ( [0] => fri [1] => sat ) [nos_to_purchase] => 1 [create-and-add-more] => Create and Add More ) Notice: Undefined index: qty_pkg in /var/www/create.php on line 54 Array ( [0] => Array ( [item_id] => 5 [0] => 5 [item_name] => BD Cheese Strings [1] => BD Cheese Strings [section_id] => 7 [2] => 7 ) ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The other wierd thing is that if/when I now uncomment the first statement (which used to work just fine before) the "if ( !empty($_POST))" logic no longer seems to work the way it used to. Does/can someone see something wrong with my code somewhere? <!-- <?php echo standardInputField('Qty / Pkg', 'qty_pkg', $qty_pkg, $errors); ?> --> <div class="control-group"> <label class="control-label">Priced by:</label> <div class="priced-by-radio-container"> <div class="pb-radiobuttons-container"> <label class="indent-to-the-left"> <input class='priced-by-radiobutton' type='radio' name='qty_pkg' value='UoM' $pb1> <span class='no-highlight'>Unit of Measure</span> </label> <label> <input class='priced-by-radiobutton' type='radio' name='qty_pkg' value='Qty' $pb2> <span class='no-highlight'>Quantity</span> </label> </div> </div> </div> <?php echo standardInputField('UoM Name/Pkg. I am trying to find this form field "form_key" on tumblr.com If you view source on: http://www.tumblr.com/dashboard On firefox it shows this: Code: [Select] <form style="width:0px; height:0px; overflow:hidden; position:absolute;" method="post" action="/set_avatar" id="set_avatar_form" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <input type="hidden" name="form_key" value="jg351pzpvzMSkyJIZZhkT7AfcQ"/> <input type="file" name="set_avatar" id="set_avatar" onchange="$('set_avatar_form').submit();"/> <input type="hidden" name="redirect_to" value="/dashboard"/> </form> But when I use php's file_get_content("http://www.tumblr.com/dashboard"); That data is no where to be found. Any idea how I can get that form data in my php file? For example I am trying to use regex preg_match_all to extract the form_key, but get_file_contents doesnt show the <form></form> I'm developing a form which is essentially a simple set of radio buttons. Conceptually, it is like this:
Please select a theme from the list:
o Black
o Blue
o Red
[Submit] [Reset]
I'm actually showing a slideshow of images showing the appearance of each of the themes in a slideshow that only shows one image at a time. I want my users to click on the image that represents the theme they want and, ideally, not have to click on the Submit button at all.
Then I will save the name of the theme they chose in a cookie (if cookies are enabled).
Many years ago, I dabbled in things like CGI and I have a vague recollection, possibly faulty, that it's not difficult to make a form that has only one set of radio buttons treat the selection of one of the radio buttons as a Submit. I don't remember how to do it though.
Can anyone advise me on whether it is indeed possible and, if it is, how I make the selection of the radio button cause the form to be submitted?
So I have created an online test . I have the results from the form submitted to my email. It is working great but the only problem is that when a question is left unanswered, the radio button doesn't have a result. What i want it to do is when a question is left unanswered, the email should look like this (Question) 1_01: True 1_02: Unanswered 1_03: False 1_04: Unanswered 1_05: True Right now it looks like this: (Question) 1_01: True 1_03: False 1_05: True I can't make the radio button required because it is a timed test where you have to work fast, so unanswered questions are going to happen. How do I make it so that unanswered radio buttons submit the value "unanswered" in the E-mail? hey guys ive been trying to design this form validation class for my framework but im having a problem with the line Code: [Select] public static function is_valid($method = $_POST) if anyone can help please Code: [Select] <?php class Form extends Form_Exception { protected $_fields = array(); protected $_validation_messages = array(); protected $_form_errors = 0; public function add_validation($field_name, $valiidation_type, $validation_message = null) { $this->_fields[$field_name]['name'] = $field_name; $this->_fields[$field_name]['validation_type'] = $validation_type; $this->_fields[$field_name]['validation_message'] = $validation_message; } public static function is_valid($method = $_POST) { $fields = $this->_fields; foreach ($fields as $field) { $field_value = $method[$field['name']]; $validation_type = $field['validation_type']; $validation_message = $field['validation_message']; $validation = $validation_type.
