Hello there,

I have run into a problem. I have a search box, which searches through my database and gets results hopefully. But I need to be able to print the list. There is the problem. If I just print the page, it does not print the results. Here is the search.php with the php and the current print javascript.

I'm at a lost. I'm not sure what to do, I don't think the code as anything to do with printing, but I put it there just in case. I thought about writing it to a temp html page in a popup, but I don't really no how to do that really well.

I appreciate any help or suggestions you give.

Sending A File To The Printer?

Alright so I've got some files being generated on the fly via database information.  User clicks a button, which gathers that database information, puts it all into a file (*.tpl - which is really just an html page), then sends the file to the printer.

Question is, how do I send the file to the printer queue of the computer that viewed the webpage?

On a side note, is it easier/better to do the HTML layout or write a default.doc, then read that and copy the files to a new file and print that?

or perhaps just hit a 'view & print' button, which opens up in a new window the size of the 'image' that needs to be printed, and have a print button on that page.

I want to do something like this,   I had a html query submission form linked to php.   I want to send the output generated after php execution to the user through mail id provided in the form, in a manner such that when user click submit button, he well be redirected to thank you page and php keeps on running in the background and as soon as the output is generated, it will be send to the end user through email. Hi all
First, thanks for any help you can offer!
What I'm trying to do is have a form, when submitted, create an attachment (the attachment appends the form values if it is already created) AND send the form values to myself as well as the person filling in the form (so to the email address in the 'email' field).  I have several php files that do everything except I cant get it to email to the address in the email field and I cant see where I'm going wrong.  I am NOT very php literate and these files were created for me although I understand how they work mostly.

Php To Send To Printer

Php Socket To Print To Networked Printer

Hi, I have been searching all day but can't find a solution to this using PHP.


Basically were developing a CRM at work and wish to be able to print letters remotely using PHP.


We have a printer equipped with a network card and I want to be able to fire requests to a socket listener port and have it print template documents depending on the request.


So far all I've found is something called Line Printing Terminal which apparently can be called from command line as far as I understand.


My boss has currently had me code a VB.NET script with two browser windows and it refreshes every 30 seconds, gets a url from a div element in the page and prints the webpage but I don't like this way, I think it's a sloppy hack and wastes bandwidth.


Like I say, ideally I would like to fire requests at a port via the printservers IP address but we could have the printer set as default on the server on which the printing script would run.


Any help/advice or resources would be greatly appreciated.

I hope it is possible to establish, what I am going to ask Currently I am using a site where I am entering a xml code, that is sent to certain workflow. That workflow returns me a few csv files within the same http session. So simply, there is a page with the TEXTAREA - where i enter xml code and subsequently I click on the Submit button. After that the new page is opened where I have links to csv files. I wonder if would be possible to establish that using php code. I would like to run everything in background, sending xml code to that workflow and get those files. Everything without opening that site, entering xml code, submitin that ,and clicking on each link to download those files. I am not looking for exact answer. Just if you can tell me where I can start. My php knowledge is not great, but I have written a few things so far. So if you can help where to start, I would be more than happy

I am using following code for sending out confirmation email after successful transaction to the user. But, I users are not getting any confirmation emails. Can somebody help me out here. May be I am doing wrong in "$to" function as $sender_email is at previous form, So how can I use Session here? If I am wrong here?

What is happening is the incoming mail is coming in to me and to the user from "forum@domain.co.uk" but from my ISP domain?

After lots of searching I have come up with the answer that I should be using "PHP mail() and SMTP Authentication" ?

Is this the case and if so how do I set up SMTP Authentication as I am new to php!!!!!

That's the processing script right now.

When we use that we do not receive an email.

So trying to figure out what was up, we made this file:

Coding something for a survey as no solution exists for our needs. I have not finished the code as I still need to do error checks + making it spam proof. Anyway I am not reciving the email even though it says that I have been sent it.

I am creating a site which allows the registration of new users. I already have my user registration page up and running which is lnked to my database.

I would now like to add a function which will send a 'welcome to...' email to the email address provided on the registration form provided by the new user.

Could anybody please point me in the right direction i.e where to start?
