PHP - How To Send Sms With Php Code
# 1
Create an account with one of the SMS gateway providers, such as Clickatell, Ozeki NG and TM4B SMS Gateway (see Resources). The gateway provider will be in charge of sending your requests for SMS messages. As with sending text messages from cell phones, you will need a service provider in order to send SMS messages from your website. The gateway provider will provide you with a paid solution for sending SMS messages from your website. # 2 Start a new blank file in a web-authoring application, such as Dreamweaver, or a plain text-editing application like Notepad. Most web-authoring application uses a WSIWYG (What You See is What You Get) environment, in which you just add the visual elements to the document and the program will automatically generate the code. You want to type in your own code in this project, so switch to "Code" or "HTML" view of the program. Also, don't use a word processor as a text-editing program. Word processors, like Microsoft Word, add extra formatting code that will interfere with the PHP code. # 3 Create the web form that will work as the user interface for entering in the information for sending the text message. Visitors to your website will type in the information for the text message. You will then collect this information and send it in the request to the SMS gateway. "<html> <head> <body> <form action="<?php print $PHP_SELF?>" enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post"> Sender:<br /> <input type="text" name="sender" value="" /><br /> Receiver:<br /> <input type="text" name="receiver" value="" /><br /> Message: <p><textarea name="message" rows="20 cols="80"> Click in this box and type in your text message. # 4 Type in the PHP code to prepare the request to the messaging service's gateway. You have to send the gateway an HTTP request that passes along the details of the SMS message. The request should look like this: "<?php \\Takes the information from the form and save it to variables $sender = $_POST['sender']; $receiver = $_POST['receiver']; $message = $_POST['message']; \\Prepare the request $request = ""; $param["username"] = "username"; //the account username provided by gateway provider $param["password"] = "password"; //the account password provided by gateway provider $param["msg"] = $message; //the text message that will be sent $param["to"] = $receiver; //the recipient of the text message $param["from"] = $receiver; //the message sender $param["route"] = "frst"; //this means we are sending the message first class $param["sim"] = "yes"; foreach($param as $key=>$val){ $request.= $key."=".urlencode($val); $request.= "&"; } $request = substr($request, 0, strlen($request)-1); ?>" Change the param values above to meet your specific details. # 5 Type in the code to actually send the SMS message. PHP has a CURL library included that handles these types of things. "<?php $url = "{add the url to the gateway API}"; //the gateway's interface provided by the gateway provider $ch = curl_init; curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER,1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $request); $response = curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch); ?> </body> </head> </html>" Do not change any of the code above other than removing the quotation marks from the first and last line in the code and adding the URL to the SMS gateway provider's API interface. Check with the provider for this information. Save the document with the PHP file extension and upload it to your web server. Similar TutorialsHi guys, I have a booking form on my website for potential customers to request a booking. The form asks for their Name, Address, Email and Tel No. I need the code to be able to send the form by Php. I also need it to show an error message if they haven't completed any of the fields. The fields on my form a Name, Address, District, City, Postcode, Tel No, Email. Please help. Hey my name is Brandon, im quite new to php but im improving and I really want to get into web design soon. Well lucky for you guys I was bored so i decided to create a Contact Us page. Just so you know MY contact us requires the user to be logged in to use it otherwise it redirects them to the login.php page and outputs a error saying "you need to be logged in to access this page", however i changed this contact us page so the user does not have to be logged in and it just requires all the fields to be entered. One thing I diden't add was a system to check if the email has a "@" sign in it, so you can be more confident that the email is real, I don't find this that important because if the user is leaving out a "@" sign then it's likely they are just wanting to send a fake email and they will do it regardless of a check or not. Here's The Code. <?php function mysql_prep($value) { $magic_quotes_active = get_magic_quotes_gpc(); $new_enough_php = function_exists("mysql_real_escape_string"); // i.e PHP >= v4.3.0 if($new_enough_php){ // PHP v4.3.0 or higher if ($magic_quotes_active){ $value = stripslashes($value); } $value = mysql_real_escape_string($value); }else{ //Before PHP v4.3.0 //if magic quotes aren't already on then add slahes manually if(!$magic_quotes_active){ $value = addslashes($value); } // if magic quotes are active then the slashes already exist } return $value; } function redirect_to($location = NULL){ if($location != NULL){ header("Location: {$location}"); exit; } } ?> <?php if (isset($_POST['submit'])){ // The form has been submitted $errors = array(); // Perform validations on the form $required_fields = array('title', 'email', 'message'); foreach($required_fields as $fieldname){ if(!isset($_POST[$fieldname]) || empty($_POST[$fieldname])){ $errors[] = $fieldname; } } $field_with_lengths = array('title' => 20, 'email' => 50); foreach($field_with_lengths as $fieldname => $maxlength) { if (strlen(trim($_POST[$fieldname])) > $maxlength) { $errors[] = $fieldname; } } // Set the needed variables here $email = $_POST['email']; $title = $_POST['title']; $message = $_POST['message']; if (empty($errors)){ // Their are no errors in the form $headers = 'From: ' . $email . "\r\n" . 'Reply-To: bcooperz@hotmail.com' . "\r\n" . 'X-Mailer: PHP/' . phpversion(); $sentmail=mail("bcooperz@hotmail.com","$title","$message", "$headers"); // if your email successfully sent if($sentmail){ echo "Your Email Has been sent"; }else{ echo "Cannot send email"; } }else{ $count = count($errors); if($count == 1){ echo "Their Was {$count} Error In The Form" . "<br />"; echo "<b>"; print_r(implode(", ", $errors)); echo "</b>"; }else{ echo "Their Was {$count} Error's In The Form" . "<br />"; echo "<b>"; print_r(implode(", ", $errors)); echo "</b>"; } } }else{ // The Form Has Not Been Submitted $email = ""; $title = ""; $message = ""; } ?> <html> <head> <title>Contact Us</title> </head> <body> <form action="contact.php" method="post"> Title of message : <input type="text" name="title" maxlength="20" value="" /><br /> Your Email : <input type="text" name="email" maxlength="50" value="" /><br /> Message : <br /><textarea name="message" rows="20" cols="80"></textarea><br /><br /> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Contact Us" /><br /> </form> </body> </html> Now in order for this to work you will need to have a domain or localhost will also do fine if you have it set up with a email system, some free domains will work as long as they have a email sending capability and php enabled. Also one thing you will want to do is change "bcooperz@hotmail.com" in that code to your email so the users of your website are sending the emails to your email Thanks, BcooperZ. Hi
First time post. I have read online and there are so many different answers I do not know which to choose.
I have a form on a website which works fine as it is.
I just want to add a function that when the the visitor clicks submit they get a copy of the email as well.
This is the code I have:
<p>Please read through our terms of business below. If you are happy with them and understand them please complete your details and press the agree button. We will email confirmation of receipt</p> <div class="content_image"> <img src="images/questionnaire.jpg" alt="" width="350" height="225" /> </div> <form id="questionnaire" method="post" action="terms-of-business-send.php" name="questionnaire"> <fieldset> <div> <label>Your Full Name:</label><br /> <input type="text" id="c_name1" name="c_name1" class="qfield clear" /> </div> <div> <label>Your Email:</label><br /> <input type="text" id="email" name="email" class="qfield clear" /> </div> <div> <label>Your Contact Tel:</label><br /> <input type="text" id="tel" name="tel" class="qfield clear" /> </div> </fieldset> <fieldset> <ol> <li> <h2>I agree I have read and understood the terms of business</h2> <input type="radio" name="q1" value="1" /> yes I agree<br /> </li> </ol> <div> </div> </fieldset> <input type="submit" value="Agree"> <input type="reset" value="Reset"> <h4 id="error">There were errors on the form, please make sure your name and email have been filled out correctly.</h4> </form> Then the send file is <?php $c_name1 = $_POST['c_name1']; $email = $_POST['email']; $tel = $_POST['tel']; $q1 = $_POST['q1']; //$to = 'enquiries@email.net'; $to = 'enquiries@cemail.net'; $subject = 'Terms of Business Completed'; $msg = "$c_name1 has completed a Terms of Business from.\n\n" . "Their email is: $email\n" . "Their contact number is: $tel\n" . "-----------------------------\n\n" . "1: $q1\n\n" . "Terms of business copy here" . "-----------------------------\n" . " END OF FORM -------\n" . "-----------------------------\n\n"; mail($to, $subject, $msg, 'From: website Terms of Business Form'); echo '<h2>Thanks for confirming our Terms of Business ' . $c_name1 . '</h2>'; ?> I kind of understand what is going on but am not proficient enough. Any help much appreciated. Rich Hi FYI I'm a n00b in this particular forum & php n00b really but I'm having a problem & cant find a solution anywhere! I need to be able to send an email from a form. While I am not advanced, I've been learning quite a bit on php. However, I am looking to build a tracker type script and hide it into my coding so that if someone were to hack into my website and take my website coding, that it would send me an email notifying that they were using my coding. How would I go about this? If you can help me, i'd be glad to credit you! Thank you! This topic has been moved to Other Programming Languages. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=312147.0 Hi, For about a month, I have been trying to figure out why my code will not return anything after posting a wwwForm (I have also tried the newer equivalent of this function but I had no luck with that either.) The nameField and passwordField are taken from text boxes within the game and the code used in my login script is copied and pasted from a Register script but I have changed the file location to the login.php file. The register script works fine and I can add new users to my database but the login script only outputs "Form Sent." and not the "present" that should return when the form is returned and it never gets any further than that point meaning that it lets the user through with no consequence if they use an invalid name because the script never returns an answer. What should I do to fix this? Thanks, Unity Code: using System.Collections; using UnityEngine; using UnityEngine.UI; using UnityEngine.Networking; public class Login : MonoBehaviour { public InputField nameField; public InputField passwordField; public Button acceptSubmissionButton; public void CallLogInCoroutine() { StartCoroutine(LogIn()); } IEnumerator LogIn() { WWWForm form = new WWWForm(); form.AddField("username", nameField.text); form.AddField("password", passwordField.text); WWW www = new WWW("http://localhost/sqlconnect/login.php", form); Debug.Log("Form Sent."); yield return www; Debug.Log("Present"); if (www.text[0] == '0') { Debug.Log("Present2"); DatabaseManager.username = nameField.text; DatabaseManager.score = int.Parse(www.text.Split('\t')[1]); Debug.Log("Log In Success."); } else { Debug.Log("User Login Failed. Error #" + www.text); } } public void Validation() { acceptSubmissionButton.interactable = nameField.text.Length >= 7 && passwordField.text.Length >= 8; } } login.php: <?php echo "Test String2"; $con = mysqli_connect('localhost', 'root', 'root', 'computer science coursework'); // check for successful connection. if (mysqli_connect_errno()) { echo "1: Connection failed"; // Error code #1 - connection failed. exit(); } $username = mysqli_escape_string($con, $_POST["username"]); $usernameClean = filter_var($username, FILTER_SANITIZE_STRING, FILTER_FLAG_STRIP_LOW | FILTER_FLAG_STRIP_HIGH); $password = $_POST["password"]; if($username != $usernameClean) { echo "7: Illegal Username, Potential SQL Injection Query. Access Denied."; exit(); } // check for if the name already exists. $namecheckquery = "SELECT username, salt, hash, score FROM players WHERE username='" . $usernameClean . "';"; $namecheck = mysqli_query($con, $namecheckquery) or die("2: Name check query failed"); // Error code # 2 - name check query failed. if (mysqli_num_rows($namecheck) != 1) { echo "5: No User With Your Log In Details Were Found Or More Than One User With Your Log In Details Were Found"; // Error code #5 - other than 1 user found with login details exit(); } // get login info from query $existinginfo = mysqli_fetch_assoc($namecheck); $salt = $existinginfo["salt"]; $hash = $existinginfo["hash"]; $loginhash = crypt($password, $salt); if ($hash != $loginhash) { echo "6: Incorrect Password"; // error code #6 - password does not hash to match table exit; } echo "Test String2"; echo"0\t" . $existinginfo["score"]; ?>
I am working on a phpmailer script that sends an order confirmation email to the customer AND the client at the same time. If I have the customer email and client email set both to the originating domain's email addresses (myname@myserver.com), then it sends fine. However, if I try to send to an outside mail server (eg. someone@gmail.com), I get the following errors: Code: [Select] SMTP -> FROM SERVER:220 myserver.com ESMTP Exim 4.63 Sat, 18 Sep 2010 15:08:21 -0700 SMTP -> FROM SERVER: 250 myserver.com Hello localhost [127.0.0.1] 250-SIZE 52428800 250-PIPELINING 250-AUTH LOGIN PLAIN 250-STARTTLS 250 HELP SMTP -> FROM SERVER:250 OK SMTP -> FROM SERVER:250 Accepted SMTP -> FROM SERVER: SMTP -> ERROR: RCPT not accepted from server: SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: someone@gmail.com Message could not be sent. Mailer Error: SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: someone@gmail.com SMTP server error: I'm not sure what's going on here. Any SMTP or phpmailer geniuses here that can shed some light on what needs to happen here for this to send to any address? Hi, I'm trying to setup a quick PHP script that will grab the email from the url (see below) and after inserting into MySQL db - which is working fine - the script will complete two additional tasks: 1. send that same captured email out to a external db as in shown via http://domain1.com/insert.php?email=$lead (example), but then send to a DIFFERENT source - the originator of the lead - a portback acknowledgement using Header (sending the status and email to http://domain2.com/check.php?e=$lead&s=$status for their records). See the code below: ------------------------- Code: [Select] $lead = $_REQUEST['e_mail']; // will grab email from posted url string and assign to local variable $result = mysql_query($command); // this is just to execute the MySQL insert which works just fine but included here to explain validation below // Create API Call string to insert lead into iContact folder $requestURL = "http://domain1.com/insert.php?email=$lead"; // Execute API Call to CAKE $xml = simplexml_load_file($requestURL) or die("feed not loading"); if ($result) { $status = 1; // mark lead as sucess // send postback on lead status header("Location: http://domain2.com/check.php?e=$lead&s=$status"); } -------- Problem: I'm getting all sorts of errors with the simplexml_load_file() function and can't figure out why it won't work. Any input appreciated as this the only way I know how to pass the lead onward and then inform/update the other party of receipt of information. thanks! i would like to send sms using AT Hayes command in php... is it possible? I am trying the following code to send SMS. <?php $gatewayURL = 'http://localhost:9333/ozeki?'; $request = 'login=admin'; $request .= '&password=abc123'; $request .= '&action=sendMessage'; $request .= '&messageType=SMS:TEXT'; $request .= '&recepient='.urlencode('+9898989898'); $request .= '&messageData='.urlencode("Hello World"); $url = $gatewayURL . $request; //Open the URL to send the message file($url); ?> But I am getting the following error message.
