PHP - How Can I Make/add Facebook Like On My Website Or Blog?

hey, i need some help if possible.

I basicly have 2 tables, one has the blog posts and one has the blog comments. I'm trying to display the latest 5 blog posts (which works) but underneath each of the blog posts i need to display about 3 of the latest comments for that post but it isn't showing any.

any ideas?

Hello everyone.  This is my first post, so be nice!

I am building a website that will have a lot of content, similar to a newspaper.  I have some pretty good HTML/CSS pages written, but the problem is that I need a way to make things more dynamic.

One of my templates has a Header, Left Column, Middle Column, Right Column, and Footer.  Everything stays the same from page to page except for the Middle Column (which holds each article).

As it stands now, if I had 12 articles, I would have to have 12 nearly duplicate HTML pages which isn't good!

I started studying PHP a while ago, but put that on hold to learn HTML/CSS, so I've kinda forgotten how PHP can help me out!   

Can someone help me figure out how to use PHP to my benefit?

Hey guys I had created a while ago a script for my friend where you can buy points and then redeem stuff with those points, i'm looking for ways to keep my site secu currently what i have done-

- protected all mysql queries with mysql_real_escape_string, strip_tags, and addslashes
- have a valid SSL certificate on my website
- checked if emails are valid for account creation

However I am having issues with the permissions, I can only ever get it to ask for "Yout basic info" when it needs to ask for more than that.

Any ideas why?

On Facebook, when you click on "view friends" on one of your friends' profile, a window pops up. Is that made with PHP? Or is it flash or something? In case it's PHP, what would you use to make something like that? Thank you in advance!

The form works because when I looked at the database, the information was there. The problem is getting that information and displaying it in the right place, how can i fix that?

I want the thumbnails to still show but just not enlarge. Infact itd be even better if they just linked directly to the post itself.

I have looked around. And what I came across was not necessarily what I was looking for.   I was wondering if somebody can recommend a good tutorial for building a blog in PHP OOP?   Also, I was wondering if somebody perhaps knows a good blog app written in PHP OOP, where I could be learning from  the script files?

I tried a few things but they failed....miserably.

Hi,

Is anyone here familiar with the Facebook API?

My boss wants people to be able to share their store with their friends on Facebook from within the stores admin panel. He wants the following.

1) Display all friends with a checkbox next to each name.
2) Check the friends you want to inform about your store.
3) Post a message on checked friends wall.

It sounds simple.

The problem is the friends selection screen. Some of my friends on Facebook have 1000 friends. Obviously listing all of them is inpractical. Ideally I need a search box to limit the friends that display and make it easy to find who you are looking for. Does something like this already exist? Does it have a name?
