PHP - Custom Search Based Upon User Selection With Multiple Number Of Select Boxes.

I manage to display data using below query that will show value for each month. How to calculate average value starting july onwards(based on user selection).   Let say the value for element 'A'  are Jul=80, Aug= 80, Sep=90. If user select Aug then the average is 80 and if user select Sep then the average is 83.   Query:

I am trying to have the following as an example:

<select name="test[]" multiple="multiple">options here</select>
<select name="test[]" multiple="multiple">options here</select>

Then using $_POST['test'] to grab the boxes in the array. I want to then loop over each box so for example:

foreach ( $boxes as $box )

    // now here i would of expected $box to be an array of the options,
}

but it's not working like this, all the options from all submitted select boxes come in one array so I cannot distinguish which select box in the array they relate to, is there a way to do this??

I have a simple (1 table, 14 fields) database. I'm using 9 separate search boxes from my search page :

There are currently 162 entries. Hitting "submit" throws them all out, same with valid input into any box, with the exception of "country" - example  : entering "F" gives 20results; "PL" gives 34 results.
Here's my code (to simplify, I only went down to the 4th box ('country' - the last and only one giving correct results).  I'm one sorry newbie.... please help !

Hi Everyone.

i have a page which list all records. i then have several detail pages which i need to link via the id number. for ex.

records:
id number name
1 john smith
2 peter parker

the detail page is layout out like so:
View details page 1 | view details page 2 | view details page 3

I need some help with the query for a form that selects values across multiple columns, and allow users to select multiple values in several columns.

I assume you build the where clause for the sql by determining if there is an option value has been selected in the single-value select boxes.

But how do I handle the multi-select list boxes?

I'm desperate for help!  Need to get somewhere with this over the weekend!
