PHP - Encrypting Password For .htpasswd

I'd like to play music in the background of a page, but don't want to display the url of the music files in the source code or encrypt it. Is that possible to do using php?

I have created a web application. Unfortunately at development time I forgot to encrypt my query parameter. So generally my apply URL shown like :

http://mysite.com/myprofile.php?userId=2

So here any user can guess some other Ids because User Ids are not encrypted in URL. Is there any simple way to do it. I have more than 100 php pages and implementing ecry/decry logic on each page is time consuming So is there any way around?

I'm using PHP and MySQL. I have an application where I'd like to keep certain database (character) fields encrypted when added to the database and stored, but when I need to display them at the appropriate time, I can call a function and quickly decrypt them for display.

Does anyone know of a simple way to do this?

In the past weeks ive been trying to make a website, where you can register. Everything seems to work except my cherished Change password feature. Everytime you try to change the password, it just resets it to nothing.

I encrypt user password by SHA('$Password') method but now i want to add "Forget Password Module" for which I need to decrypt it first before tell my user but I don't Know how to decrypt it.

I am trying to make a 'forgot password' script.

The passwords in the database are md5 encrypted.

Is there a way to reverse this md5 password and send the forgotten password in its orginal for to the user through email?

I am having some trouble getting this to pull the password correctly from the database.
I believe the problem is from the password being in md5 format.
I am not sure how to fix the issue.

when they are typing for example?

Hello, I recently inherited my company's website from a former coworker and it's done in PHP. I'm still learning PHP so I need a little help. There's one page that our sales guy goes to to put our specials on the site and it's set to remember the username and password. I'm fine with it holding the username I just need to know how to make it ask for a password. Here is the code

I was just wondering what is the best way to handle passwords using mysql and php.  For example if a user is registering (creating a username and password) and then logging in using that password what is the must secure way to handle this.  Is it okay to just use password like and other field?

Since I cant undo the MD5 is it safe to say record their password again with out MD5 in the data base and use that to mail them their password if they forgot it?
