PHP - How To Fix Errors In Xml File Using Php Program?

I have purchased a ad manager type script and have put so much work in to the site but i cannot get the cron file to execute properly due to errors.  The makers of the script arent answering my emails so I am left to find the answer myself im hoping some experts can shine a light on this for me   I have the cron running once daily as required   the error messages are as follows:   /home2/net2you/public_html/2xx.co.uk/include/CronStats.php: line 1: ?php: No such file or directory

Hi guys, I did read allot of documentation on the internet about reading/writing/parsing an XML file. I ended up using the following code, because I really have large files (some about 200MB) and regular dom does not work:

The problem I have is a special character error in the xml file, error returned on this line: "$node = $xml->expand();"

I am literally banging my head to the wall to find a simple solution to this. I already have a cleaning function, but that can be applied only after the code above. As the file is large, to clean it, I would have to use the same code above to work on partial content at once, so I would have the same special character problem when I would try to read and split the file.

I bet I am not the first one to be in this situation, but after about 5 hours of searching on the internet, I cannot do it no more. And I am not a php expert to come up with a new idea.

One other thing to do probably would be to split the file into multiple files, and read them after that, without using the XMLReader. But this would ask for a different application.

If, for example, on a file where I have an error, I do the reading with simplexml, without using the XMLReader, I don't get the error. But I cannot use simplexml on the files, since file size is variable. I have to use a reliable method that works for all situations.

Hopefully someone has an idea to this STUPID situation!

How do I display the actual errors in IIS 7.5?

If I miss a semicolon, I get:

"HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error"

absolutely useless. In prior versions, I could see the line and get to the PHP error.

I need to include a exe program in a website. The only file of this program is the .exe file. It has a couple of textboxes, and when you insert values in these boxes and submit it gives an text output in the same window.

Is there a way in php that I can take in values from an html form and insert it into this programs form?
And then how can I read its output using php? Or is there another web-based language that I should rather use?

I need to execute a program in the command prompt in windows using php, which php functions would be best to do this? and would i need to set any type of permissions to be able to use them?

I stumbled across this site after being slammed hard elsewhere for being a novice and really not knowing what I am doing.  What I have read so far is more encouraging.  I just wrote my first program in php and it is not working at all right now.  All it keeps doing is opening window after window until I force the browser to close.  I am using a Mac running Yosemite and using MAMP.  Hopefully that is enough background.    I know this is an introduction area, so I will also post this in another forum in case this is closed for being off topic.   This is a login file to connect to the server:

HI,   I am a beginner at programing and I have to do this project where it is asking me to valid ISBN 10 and 13 using MySQL database to store the information. I checked my php code to validate ISBN 10 and 13 and it works, but when I try to store the data to MySQL it is not working. Hi. I'm trying to make a open source kiosk like system. When the web browser starts all programs, it will run in the browser using PHP. I've found this link: Program execution Functions. It's using:

I was able to start Microsoft Word on Windows, but I need to be able to do this on Linux. This is what I've tried on my Linux server:

Hi Guys

We have had a holiday program written in php in the past by an experienced developer but we are experiencing problems now.   So I am curious to try and resolve the best approach

Here goes

1:  We query multiple APIs to return holiday results to our users

2:  This can take up to 20 seconds to return results but sometimes its much quicker depending on the volume of API returned results

3:  Other users seem to be locked out of even visiting our website if an API call is running

So initially without posting any code, I have a couple of questions which are

A:  Is there a way to maybe poll a process or allow partial results to the users browser while things run in the background ( similar to what other holiday providers seem to be doing )

B:  Is there a way to speed this up or maybe some sort of better technology to utilise
