PHP - Removing Encrypted Output...

Hello Everyone,

I recent made a simple membership website. Every page I created works exactly how I envisioned it...
All members data from my registration form goes into my database along with their md5 Encrypted passwords with a time-stamp.
Subsequent pages have a start_session included.

I am very please with it except ONE THING. Logging in is now a problem... username is recognized but NOT the password.

Now the strange thing is that when I go into the database and copy the encrypted password and paste
it into the password field in my login page, I miraculously get into my website with NO problem.

" How do I get the registered members Encrypted Passwords to be recognized by the database when
the  registered members decide to logging in with the password that they create? "

Is there a easy fix for this?

Well I have a script that executes a scan on a system set to run infinitely, and I need it to echo out a message each time it loops through, but I don't want it to echo out the message with the next loop message below it, and the next one below that etc... I've tried using the flush(); function and been messing around with that with no luck. For security reasons I don't want to release any of the processing code, but here is the basic construction of the script:

Hey guys, im using UNIX time and trying to figure out how to remove the leading 0 when it shows the hour. "07:06 am" to make it read "7:06 am"

manual says i need to use %i with strftime. So I guess Im suppose to be removing the zero before the date format? which is why strftime isnt working after the date function. Or is there a way to do this in the date function.

What I want to do is simple:
The string "this_is_an_example.php"

should return "this_is_an_"

while:
"this_is_an_example_filename.php
should return "this_is_an_example_"

Is there a simple function which can cut off the part after the last _ ?
I have been looking and trying several functions, but can't seem to find the right one for this.

(the last _ being cut off of course wouldn't be a problem I couldn't live with :-) )

The thing is when the member is click on the ad, they get money after x sec.

I have the code, and the question is how i can remove the top frame,  but i would like to keep the money part. So when they open a link its will looks a normal link no frame no timer but they still get the monye after x second. Can i do this??

Hey again guys,

i am building a site admin page and i want to do a php script with will show the heading and the date of my news database into a table, and on the right or left side of each row i want to put 2 small icons one which will remove the specific record and one which will open a new small window with the whole record viewing.

any idears?

There are good ways to keep only English characters in a string. But what is the easiest way to keep all alphabetic characters (whether in English or other languages like Russian, Japanese, etc) by removing all sign characters like !@#$%^&*()":;' ?

I am currently building a customer appointment booking system with PHP.

Customers who are added are store on a customer database and displayed or listed as links dynamically in a 'customer.php' page. So you can click on a customer to view their profile i.e. name, address, time added, an so on.

Also there is a button to 'create appointment' for the customer. Click the button, a form appear, select a day and time the click submit. It all works fine.

The problem is once the appointment is booked I dont how to remove the customer from the list on the customer.php page. So am looking for something like what they have on e-commerce sites e.g a customer buys an item and that item is no longer available for another customer.

Please guys am calling for your expertise, any ideas, inputs or suggestions you may have are more than welcome.
