PHP - Simple Rotation
Hey,
I don't know much PHP yet. I'm trying to write an offer and landing page rotation. This is what I've come up with so far: <?php extract($_REQUEST); //Landing page rotation $counthandle=fopen("lprotation.txt","r"); $getcurrent=fread($counthandle, filesize("lprotation.txt")); switch($getcurrent){ case "lp1": $lp_link = "lp1.php"; $getcurrent = "lp2"; break; case "lp2": $lp_link = "lp2.php"; $getcurrent = "lp1"; break; } fclose($counthandle); $counthandle1=fopen("lprotation.txt","w"); fputs($counthandle1,$getcurrent); fclose($counthandle1); //Offer rotation $counthandle=fopen("offerrotation.txt","r"); $getcurrent=fread($counthandle, filesize("offerrotation.txt")); switch($getcurrent){ case "offer1": $offer = "a Pair of UGG Shoes"; $offer_link = "offer1.php"; $getcurrent = "offer2"; break; case "offer2": $offer = "an Apple iPhone 4"; $offer_link = "offer2.php"; $getcurrent = "offer1"; break; } fclose($counthandle); $counthandle1=fopen("offerrotation.txt","w"); fputs($counthandle1,$getcurrent); fclose($counthandle1); include($lp_link); ?> The problem with this code is that it alternates between lp1+offer1 and lp2+offer2. I can think of several ways to fix this e.g. doubling the offers. offer1 = offer2, offer3 = offer4 and so on...The more offers and lp's I add the more ugly the code gets. I need it to rotate like this: lp1 + offer1, lp2 + offer1, lp1+offer2, lp2+offer2. Can anyone think of a more simple and elegant way to do this? Thanks alot :-) Mathias Similar TutorialsI have some photos that were taken using a cellphone in an upright/vertical position. They were downloaded and placed in a folder to be viewed on a webpage but they displayed horizontally/sideways (with the persons head on the left). I am assuming that the EXIF information in the image tells it which side is up and what the intended 'top' of the picture should be.. I want to have a PHP function that will rotate the image to its intended display position so that photos of mountain ranges [intentionally holding the smartphone sideways] are horizontal and portraits [where the smartphone in upright] are vertical. I placed this code in a PHP file but got no change in the image: function correctImageOrientation($filename) { if (function_exists('exif_read_data')) { $exif = exif_read_data($filename); if($exif && isset($exif['Orientation'])) { $orientation = $exif['Orientation']; if($orientation != 1){ $img = imagecreatefromjpeg($filename); $deg = 0; switch ($orientation) { case 3: $deg = 180; break; case 6: $deg = 270; break; case 8: $deg = 90; break; } if ($deg) { $img = imagerotate($img, $deg, 0); } // then rewrite the rotated image back to the disk as $filename imagejpeg($img, $filename, 95); } } } } $filename = 'upload/myTest.jpg'; correctImageOrientation($filename); Am I using the correct approach to get the desired result? Is the code correct?
Hello,
I have several images created with a Kodak electronic camera and my iPhone. All images are displayed with the correct orientation (portrait or landscape) in the HTML code. The HTML code is wrapped inside a brief PHP code to enable password entry, and the PHP code is uploaded to my Web site along with the images. I have examined the images on my Web site using Web browsers in Windows 10 and Apple MacBook Air. The orientation is incorrect for at least one of the images in each browser -- Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Although a majority of the images are oriented correctly, incorrect rotation occurs for some of the phone and Kodak images. I shall provide more information to anyone who can provide me with help and suggestions, which will be much appreciated. Thank you spruce18b
Hi everyone, I'm trying to select either a class or an id using PHP Simple HTML DOM Parser with absolutely no luck. My example is very simple and seems to comply to the examples given in the manual(http://simplehtmldom.sourceforge.net/manual.htm) but it just wont work, it's driving me up the wall. Here is my example: http://schulnetz.nibis.de/db/schulen/schule.php?schulnr=94468&lschb= I think the HTML is invalid: i cannot parse it. Well i need more examples - probly i have overseen something! If anybody has a working example of Simple-html-dom-parser...i would be happy. The examples on the developersite are not very helpful. your dilbertone Hello, im very green to php and I am having trouble creating a simple log in script. I'm updating my website and I'm stumped on the last section. I have a dynamic Table with various fields showing from Mysql, I use MS Access as a front end, and I have a field named Download, I enter the file location of a customers invoice and it stores the link in mysql, works perfectly. BUT, the dynamic table looks like this: Download - \users\MM4512\Invoices\Invoice23.PDF which is hyperlinked so they can download it etc.. Is there a way I can change this section from the above to a simple (Download Invoice) instead of all that text? The code used is : <td><a href="<?php echo $row_Invoices['download']; ?>" target="_blank"><?php echo $row_Invoices['download']; ?></a></td> Please .i want php code to get metacfe thumbnail from url this is the url http://www.metacafe.com/watch/5823413/the_sinister_eyes_of_dr_orloff_movie_trailer/ php code to grab 5823413 for thumbnail links this http://www.metacafe.com/thumb/5823413.jpg Code: [Select] <?php if ( $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] == "http://domain.net/sub/index.php" ) { echo "true"; } else { echo "false"; } ?> is the code i'm using. /sub/index.php redirects to http://domain.net/index.php it's not seeming to work. please help sort out this bug. The feed is for events and has about 250 events to parse. The problem is that if one event has an empty node, the script will use the same event data for the node used previously. Upon research, I see that empty nodes are parsed as an empty SimpleXMLElement Object. See my code for example: XML Original: Code: [Select] <event_info> <event id="1222209"> <outcome_score><![CDATA[L, 1-0 (OT)]]></outcome_score> <quotes></quotes> <radio>102.9 FM</radio> <sched_opp><![CDATA[Toledo]]></sched_opp> </event> <event id="1222210"> <outcome_score><![CDATA[]]></outcome_score> <quotes></quotes> <radio>107.1 FM</radio> <sched_opp><![CDATA[Ohio]]></sched_opp> </event> </event_info> Output XML (note <outcome_score> on second event): Code: [Select] <event_info> <event id="1222209"> <outcome_score><![CDATA[L, 1-0 (OT)]]></outcome_score> <quotes></quotes> <radio>102.9 FM</radio> <sched_opp><![CDATA[Toledo]]></sched_opp> </event> <event id="1222210"> <outcome_score><![CDATA[L, 1-0 (OT)]]></outcome_score> <quotes></quotes> <radio>107.1 FM</radio> <sched_opp><![CDATA[Ohio]]></sched_opp> </event> </event_info> PHP code: $xml = simplexml_load_file($source); echo "<event_info>"; foreach($xml->event as $event) { echo "<event>"; if($event->outcome_score != '') { echo "<outcome_score><!CDATA[{$event->outcome_score]]></outcome_score>"; } if($event->quotes != '') { echo "<quotes><!CDATA[{$event->quotes]]></quotes>"; } } if($event->radio != '') { echo "<radio><!CDATA[{$event->radio]]></radio>"; } if($event->sched_opp != '') { echo "<sched_opp><!CDATA[{$event->sched_opp]]></sched_opp>"; } echo "</event>"; } echo "</event_info>"; Basically, whenever an event has no outcome score, the most recent outcome score is repeated for all events after. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! <html> <head></head> <body> My favourite bands a <ul> <?php // define arrays $morebands = array('Desturbed', 'Anthrax'); $artists = array('Metallica', 'Evanescence', 'Linkin Park', 'Guns n Roses', "$morebands"); // loop over it // print array elements foreach ($artists as $a) { if ($a != 'Array'){ echo '<li>'.$a; } Else { foreach ("${$a}" as $b){ echo '<li>'.$b; } } } ?> </ul> </body> </html> I can not figure out why this will not work:( I would like the foreach to run through the array as normal, but if it encounters a nested array, loop it as well. I know this likely is not the right, or best way to do this, but I am just learning PHP through a tutorial and I learn best by doing... So I take the lessons, make them more complicated, then figure out how to make it happen (like so). right now I am working on http://devzone.zend.com/node/view/id/635 anyhow thanks for any help! Hello there fellow programmers, I was just wondering if there was any difference between doing this: Code: [Select] echo "Say Something Here"; and this Code: [Select] echo "Say "; echo "Something "; echo "Here"; Thank you in advance. Notice: I am aware of the fact that they will output the same thing, my question is regarding resources. ok say I have a file that has something like 123456 abcde 654321 edcba in a file.. how would I go about having the script pull "123456" and make it a variable in the script.. and "abcde" a variable? and then "654321" a variable but is set in an array so that 123456 and 654321 are both the same variable but like $variable[0] and abcde and edcba would be $variable[1] what do I have to do? My friend has this problem, it needs a solution. I have no PHP experience, I don't know how to work with MD5 hash. A programming unit was compulsory on her course, but she completely fails on it. So let's be unethical and help her survive it. thanks in advance ===================== You are the website administrator for a website that requires a low level password for entry. The previous owner of the website forget to code in a password recovery feature and as such you now have to recover the passwords for a number of users of the website. You do have acess to the website databse BUT you are NOT allowed to manually change the passswords for users in the database as those passwords are heavily used in defining what permissions a user of the website has. e.g Moderators for the website forum all have a password begining with the lower case letter "m" in lower case. ALL letters are lowercase. Passwords were allocated to all users and the method of choice was to create a password which was built on two parts - a lowercase letter "m" and a number between 1 and 10000. An md5 hash was then created to form a 32 digit string. e.g the user with password "m1234" is represented in the database as the md5 hash: 77c12394ef7d4f23a8fa07d87309afd9 You have five users who need their orignal password. You know that the passwords all start with the letter "m". You decide that the simplest thing to do is to write some PHP code that uses a while loop to increment through the numbers 0 to 10000, concatenate that number with the "m" and then compare the md5 hash to that you recovered from the database. If the two hashes are the same then you have "cracked" the password. This technique is known as a "brute force" method of cracking passwords. You have a number of hashes to "crack" and you must enter the unique password into the answer box for each. As a starting point, the following PHP snippet will produce all of the lowercase letters: ___________________________________ Code: [Select] for ($i=97; $i<=122; $i++){ $x = chr($i); echo $x; } ?> |
