PHP - Content Change Dynamically On Click
Hi,
I have some files stored in mysql db. I have created a web page which shows the list of tutorials from db. at first i was creating a separate php page for each tutorial, but later i have decided that it would be easier and simpler if i can create one php page and whenever i click the tutorials it will change the content of this page. example: when i click "tut002" from list. it will change the content of tutorials.php . I have these tutorials in .html format here is the code i have in turorials.php once again, whenever i click a tutorial this include part needs to change automatically to whatever i click Code: [Select] echo '<div class="content">'; include ("inc/tut001.html"); echo '</div>'; it will be really appreciated if you have a sample code for this. sorry for my english. thank to whoever interested in this matter. Similar TutorialsHello friends,
I am trying to achieve a simple thing, but I do not know jquery/javascript much. When I click on a forst list item in one div , I want to show corresponding 1st li in the second div. I have 6 list items in total and related 6 li in second div.
Also when I click on any list item in first div, it will be borderd, this I achieved. But I am not able to bring the related li in the second div.
Hope I make myself clear.
Here is my code
<style> .selected img { border:2px solid #090; } .visible { display:block; } .invisible { display:none; } </style> <div id="all"> <ul> <li class="selected"><img src="image1.JPG" /></li> <li><img src="image2.JPG" /><br /></li> <li><img src="image3.JPG" /><br /></li> </ul> </div> <div class="container"> <ul> <li class="visible"><img src="related_image1.JPG" /></li> (In these list items there may be img or content) <li class="invisible"><img src="related_image2.JPG" /></li> <li class="invisible"><img src="related_image3.JPG" /></li> </ul> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> $('#all ul li').on('click', function(){ $(this).addClass('selected').siblings().removeClass('selected'); $('.container ul li:nth-child(1)').fadeout(); // Don't know this line is correct or not }); </script>Any help guys ? Edited by Jaswinder, 19 July 2014 - 08:57 PM. Hi, I have set up 2 php pages page 1 - add_entry2.php In this page I have a invoice table created where I can dynamically add/delete rows. This has a View Bill button which takes me to page 2- add_entry3.php In this page it shows up the rows added in page 1 in read only format, so if the user wants to modify the data that he/she entered then he must Click on <back> that i have provided in the page 2 which will direct him to page 1 Now the problem starts here on click of Back the dynamically added rows dissappear..which is frustrating..I know its something to do with my code..but can anyone help me fix it. One more thing is that i dont want to store the data into DB till the finalise button is clicked on page 2 so that means till page 2 is submitted nothing goes to DB from Page 1. here is the code(I have removed the java script functionalities to reduce length of the post) add_entry2.php Code: [Select] <html> <head> <title>Page Title</title> </head> <body leftmargin="0" topmargin="0"> <!--- forms are good when you wanna actually do stuff ---> <form action="add_entry3.php" name="eval_edit" method="post" format="html"> <table align="center" width = "75%"> <tr> <td align = "center"> Invoice </td> </tr> <tr> <td align = "center"> <!--- very imporant to give the table an id ---> <!--- otherwise it won't know where to edit ---> <table border="1" id="mySampleTable"> <tr> <th>Item No</th> <th>Item Name</th> <th>Item code</th> <th>Description</th> <th>Unit Cost</th> <th>Quantity</th> <th>Price</th> <th>Cancel ?</th> </tr> <tr> <td>1</td> <td><input type="text" name="itemname[]" size="40" maxsize="100"/></td> <td><input type="text" name="itemcode[]" size="20" maxsize="100" /></td> <td><input type="text" name="description[]" size="20" maxsize="100" /></td> <td><input type="text" name="unitcost[]" size="10" maxsize="100" /></td> <td><input type="text" name="quantity[]" size="4" maxsize="100" /></td> <td><input type="text" name="price[]" size="10" maxsize="100" /></td> <td><input type="CHECKBOX" name="cancel[]"/></td> </tr> </table> <table id="totaltbl"> <tr> <th>Total</th> <th>Vat%</th> </tr> <tr> <td><input type="text" name="total" size="20" maxsize="100" /></td> <td><input type="text" name="total" size="3" maxsize="3" /></td> </tr> </table> <!--- our buttons call our javascript functions when clicked ---> <p> <input type="button" value="Add Row" onclick="addRow();" /> <input type="button" value="Calculate Total Amount" onclick="Totalcal();" /> <input type="hidden" name="count" value=""/> <!--<input type="submit" name="submit" onclick="countRow();" value="Insert into Invoice!" />--> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="View Bill" /> <input type="hidden" name="submitted" value="true" /> </p> </td> </tr> </table> </form> </body> </html> ****************************************************8888 This is add_entry3.php Code: [Select] <?php $num=count($_POST['itemcode']); Can PHP dynamically change .htaccess files? Hi! So I have got some code that looks like this: Code: [Select] if (isset($_GET['view_log'])) { // show content (text from db) } When I click the button named "view_log" everything displays just fine, however I would like to be able to click the button again and make the content disappear. Is this possible using only PHP?? Thanks for the help!:) It is greatly appreciated! Hi, I have a table row that has a dropdown and two textboxes in it. I would like to use a button that allows me to add another row beneath the existing row. It cannot be added to the bottom of the table as there is further content beneath. The content of the dropdown comes from a database query. The dropdown on the new row should have the selection in the first row greyed out. I expect this will need to be a js function but i dont really know where to start with it being dynamic content. This is the table as it stands if this provides clarity of my intentions - picture below echo "<form method='post' id='staffOrderForm'>"; $stmt->close(); echo "<table id='staffOrderTable' class='table table-striped table-bordered mt-3 text-center'>"; foreach($daterange as $date){ echo" <tr> <th class='table-dark' colspan='3'>".$date->format("l - jS F Y")."</th> </tr> <tr> <th class='' colspan='3'>Management </th> </tr> <tr> <th class='col-4'>Name</th> <th class='col-4'>Start Time</th> <th class='col-4'>End Time</th> </tr> <tr> <td> <select class='custom-select managerSelect'>"; $managerRoleId = 1; $stmt = $conn->prepare(" SELECT user_firstname, user_lastname, user_id FROM ssm_user WHERE user_role_id = ? "); $stmt->bind_param("i", $managerRoleId); $stmt->execute(); $stmt->store_result(); $stmt->bind_result($ufn, $uln, $uid); while($stmt->fetch()){echo "<option>".$ufn." ".$uln."</option>";}; echo"</select> </td> <td><input class='form-control' type='' name=''></td> <td><input class='form-control' type='' name=''></td> </tr> <tr> <th colspan='3'>Chefs</th> <tr/> <tr> <th class='col-4'>Name</th> <th class='col-4'>Start Time</th> <th class='col-4'>End Time</th> </tr> <tr> <td> <select class='custom-select chefSelect'>"; $chefRoleId = 2; $stmt = $conn->prepare(" SELECT user_firstname, user_lastname, user_id FROM ssm_user WHERE user_role_id = ? "); $stmt->bind_param("i", $chefRoleId); $stmt->execute(); $stmt->store_result(); $stmt->bind_result($ufn, $uln, $uid); while($stmt->fetch()){echo "<option>".$ufn." ".$uln."</option>";}; echo"</select> </td> <td><input class='form-control' type='' name=''></td> <td><input class='form-control' type='' name=''></td> </tr>"; } echo "</table></form>"; I appreciate that i will likely have to add a button with an onclick but from there i am pretty lost. As always i appreciate the help provided. hello, would anyone could point me in the right direction. ?? i have 2 language buttons along the top on my web site. Code: [Select] <div class="flags"> <ul> <li><a href="#"><img src="templates/template1/images/flags/France.png" alt="France"/></a></li> <li><a href="#" class="current"><img src="templates/template1/images/flags/United Kingdom(Great Britain).png" alt="United kingdom" /></a></li> </ul> </div><!-- #flats --> how do i make it so that if i click on one it will change the sites language. ??? i have it all set up in the db so that there is a default language and if i change the default language the language changes but what code do i need to use to make my buttons changes the language? could anyone point me to some jscript or ajax or something please... many thanks rick Every other time a user/users click on a link I want the link to change to a different url the next time a user clicks onto that link.
For example two links
url1.html
url2.html
url1.html shows up when a user clicks that link the link auto changes to then when a new user clicks the linke url2.html then back to url1.html and so on?
Don't know where to start on how I would do this let alone have the server remember to keep which ever link to be held for the next user?
Hi, I currently have this code which displays text on clicking the image: <a href="javascript:;" onclick="document.getElementById('text').style.display='block';window.open('url...');"><img src="image..."></a> <div id="text" style="display:none;"> ...text to be displayed here </div> it works fine but I want to integrate this with php which is where I am struggling. I have a mySQL database with 4 fields (id;name;description;url), what i would like to do is name the div to be opened on click with the 'id' field from the database so that it would become '<div id="id"> and then more than one function could be implemented on each page. I would also like to replace '...text to be displayed here' with the field 'name' from the database and '...url' with the field 'url from the database. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. This topic has been moved to JavaScript Help. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=347058.0 Currently, in my files, I echo content through either a function called error() or a funtion called info(). Each function has 3 require statements for the header, body and footer files and that is all that is contained in the function. What I want to do is, if error() is called, is kind of leave the script and exit it. Surprisingly I have used exit; at the end of the functions to stop any more of the script being executed. Is this the best way of doing it? This topic has been moved to JavaScript Help. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=319719.0 hey there peoples i have a bit of a problem with my php code. when i click on the name it wont play the video. but if i click on the thumbnail it plays here is the code Code: [Select] echo "<div class='Video_thumbnail'>"; echo "<a href='/Video.php?id={$row['id']}'>"; echo "<img src='http://i.ytimg.com/vi/{$row['link']}/hqdefault.jpg' width='220' height='170' alt='click' /></a>"; echo "<br>"; echo "</br>"; echo "<a href='/Video.php?={$row['id']}'>"; echo "{$row['navn']}</a>"; echo "</div>"; Hi, I will start off trying to explain what I am trying to make the best I can. What I want to create is a script that gets the gold value from this website: http://www.lbma.org.uk/pages/index.cfm?page_id=46&title=current_statistics and then save it to a variable which I will use to calculate values of different gold karats. Here is the content in bold I need on the website I linked: Quote LONDON GOLD FIXING USD GBP EUR AM 1588.00 1005.127 1251.083 PM 1589.50 1004.741 1249.803 So what help do I need? Well, I don't expect you to figure out the calculating part for me but some help how to get that content pointed out above and save it to a variable is what I would appreciate getting some help with. I don't know much PHP, only some and I have been trying to figure this out for a day now without any success. I suppose php get contents and/or curl should be used here but I don't know how really. I would very much appreciate the help I can get on this. Thank you! Hi, This line of code works just fine for me: $sql_quest = 'SELECT id, username FROM user ORDER BY id ASC LIMIT 0, 30'; I want to be able to set the integer values dynamically and I thought something like this would work: $sql_quest = 'SELECT id, username FROM user ORDER BY id ASC LIMIT' . $my_int_value . ',' . $my_int_value + 30; But it doesn't... Any ideas? Is there a way to dynamically print the url of a web page once it loads? If so, how? This is for metadata purposes. Thanks! I've searched around the internet and can't find a good method to do this. To start, I have a database with a field called 'fpath' that stores the filepath (root-relative) to uploaded PDF's. In this case, they're scanned personnel files. What I'd like to do is be able to download relevant PDF's based on a generated report... such as all PDF's of a certain category or all PDF's for a certain user. If there's a specific PEAR package or other script out there that you know works well, I can research it on my own.. but each search result is bringing up a different method to do it, which makes me nervous. Thanks! I am trying to set the HTML Page Title dynamically, but this code from my book doesn't work... <title> <?php // Dynamically set Page Title. if (isset($page_title)){ echo $page_title; } else { // Default Page Title. echo 'Knowledge is Power: And It Pays To Know'; } ?> </title> What is wrong with it?
