PHP - If Statement To Remove File Name From Displaying In Php List
I am using the following php script to display all the files that are uploaded in a directory on a page. There are two files in the folder I do not want displayed: .htaccess & index.php.
Can someone help me out and provide a little guidance about what I need to do to print all the file names EXCEPT for those two. I imagine some sort of if statement. CODE: Top of page: Code: [Select] <?php $dirname = "."; $dir = opendir($dirname); ?> Body: Code: [Select] <?php while(false != ($file = readdir($dir))) { if(($file != ".") and ($file != "..")) { echo("<a href='$dirname$file'>$file</a> <br />"); } } ?> Thanks so much! Similar TutorialsI'm looking for an update statement that will remove all the extra space from a specific field. For example, all data on this field a "Apple " "Orange " "Grapes Banana " I'd like to update the database to remove the space at the end. Thanks. Hi, i have written a section of code for my website and i have been trying to get it to work but whatever i try it will not work Here is the code Code: [Select] $upgrade_user = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM user_info WHERE id='$id'"); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($upgrade_user)){ $real_balance = $row["$balance"]; $real_rank = $row["$rank"]; } echo $real_balance; if($real_rank == 'merchant' && $real_balance > '500'){ $n1x = '<a href="upgrades_info.php?userid=$id&rank=noble"><img src="images/noble.jpg" width="170" height="200" /></a>'; } else { $n1x = '<img src="images/noblex.jpg" width="170" height="200" />'; } It should outbut the first if, but instead it keeps displaying the else, i have checked the $real_rank and it matches merchant and the $real_balance is over 500. Any ideas? I am guessing its a simple error in the way i have written it, but i can't seem to get it to work. Thanks Here's the code, this is the PHP in my html contacts page (that IS in fact saved with a PHP extension): <div class = "centercontainer"> Hi there, Im trying to build a drop down menu that has an if statement to determine the results, heres the code below: Code: [Select] <option value="<?php echo $row_Planet['PlanetName']?>"<?php if ($row_Planet['PlanetName'] == 'Mon Calamari'){ echo"Yavin"; echo"Denab";) ?><?php echo $row_Planet['PlanetName']?></option> Im really unsure of the syntax. If you could help that would be ace! Thanks Anyone know how I can print a file (specifically a PDF) that is stored on the server to the clients computer with a button? I don't want them to be able to view it, just print it. I've done some research and understand that there is no way to print directly without popping up the Windows Print dialog. And that is fine. I just want them to print this file, but not no where it is or be able to type in a URL to access it. Thanks Mike for example, i want to search for an the string "example@example.com" and erase it. thanks in advance ! I would like assistance in displaying a company name in my web search results.
Below is my code:
<html> <head></head> <body> <?php if (!isset($_POST['q'])) { ?> <img src="/wvb-logo-slogen.png" border="0" /> <h2>Search</h2> <form method="post" action="<?php echo htmlentities($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']); ?>"> <input type="text" name="q" size="30" /> </form> <?php } else { ?> <img src="/wvb-logo-slogen.png" border="0" /> <h2>Search Results</h2> <?php try { // create object // $swish = new Swish('/usr/local/apache/htdocs/swish/index.swish-e'); $swish = new Swish('/var/www/html/pdf2/index.swish-e'); // get and run query from command-line $queryStr = htmlentities($_POST['q']); $result = $swish->query($queryStr); ?> Found <?php echo $result->hits; ?> match(es) for '<?php echo $queryStr; ?>'. <?php // iterate over result set // print details for each match while($r = $result->nextResult()) { ?> <p> <?php echo $r->swishreccount; ?> <strong> <a href="<?php echo '/pdf2', ltrim($r->swishdocpath, '.') ; ?>"> <?php echo $r->swishdocpath; ?> </a> </strong> (sco <?php echo $r->swishrank; ?>) <br/> <?php echo $r->swishdocpath; ?><br /> <?php //Split a filename by . $filenames = explode(".", $r->swishdocpath); //get 3 chars from $filenames to $country $country = substr($filenames[1],1,3); echo 'Country name: '.$country."<br />"; //$filenames[2] = explode(".", $r->swishdocpath); $year = substr($filenames[2],0,4); echo 'Year: '.$year; //$filenames = explode(".", $r->swishdocpath); $wvbnumber = substr($filenames[1],1,12); echo 'WVB Number: '.$wvbnumber; ?> </p> <?php } } catch (Exception $e) { die('ERROR: ' . $e->getMessage()); } } ?> </body> </html>As you can see I am able now display the WVB number, country name and year. But my question to anyone is how would I display the company name that it corresponds to? The names of the company are located in a .csv file called active_colist.csv and it is under the /var/www/html directory. This is what my /var/www/html directory looks like: [root@zeus wvbadmin]# cd /var/www/html [root@zeus html]# ls -l total 2140 -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 2110323 May 14 23:39 active_colist.csv -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 6678 Apr 30 13:25 favicon.ico -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 17256 May 5 16:02 h1 -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 113 Apr 29 16:45 hello.php -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 19 Apr 24 23:53 info.php drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 12288 May 12 15:30 pdf2 lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 20 May 5 15:46 pdf3 -> /home/wvbadmin/pdf3/ -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1227 May 6 16:33 pdfsearch2.php -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1204 May 6 15:13 pdfsearch3.php -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1625 May 19 23:27 pdfsearch.php -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1838 Apr 30 13:10 search.php -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 10077 May 12 11:38 wvb-logo-slogen.png What is in the .csv file is the first 12 characters that correspond to the company name. What PHP code would I use to grab the first 12 characters of search results match them up with what is in the .csv file and display the proper company name? This is what is inside of the .csv file: WVB_NUMBER,PRIMARY_SHORT_COMPANY_NAME,CURR_ISO_CNTRY_OF_INCORP "AIA000030001","THE NATIONAL BANK OF ANGUILLA","AIA" "AIA000030003","ANGUILLA ELECTRICITY COMPANY","AIA" "AIA000030005","KMT-HANSA","AIA" "ALB000040001","BURSE E TIRANES","ALB" "ANT000020000","RORENTO","ANT" "ANT000030001","INTRUM JUSTITIA","SWE" "ANT000030002","ORTHOFIX INTERNATIONAL","ANT" "ANT000030004","HAL TRUST","ANT" "ARE000030001","MASHREQBANK","ARE" "ARE000030002","COMMERCIAL BANK OF DUBAI","ARE" Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Extremely new here and to PHP and I have exhausted my newbie resources and my brain on this one. Concept: Cron Job to INSERT 5 lines per hour (Not the whole list at once) Script to read a pipe delimited text file (about 5k Lines) Open File Get last (bottom) 5 lines of file, ignore the rest Insert those 5 lines into my database Open File, Remove last (bottom) 5 lines I am able to do parts 1-3 but not part 4 (removing last 5 lines) Please help me! I have tried many snippets and really need help. Been looking on the web on and off for the past few days but can't seem to find a list of all file types that PHP (or is it Apache) appreciates. Like when you go and upload file using a form and then it outputs: Quote Array ( [upload_file] => Array ( [name] => discount_xcart_orders.csv [type] => text/comma-separated-values [tmp_name] => /tmp/phprAk2R6 [error] => 0 [size] => 674 ) ) Is there an entire list of file types that this '[type] => text/comma-separated-values' falls under? Just out of interest of course, Jeremy. Hi, I am using this code to display the info in mysql database to dropdown list, it is working good on the localhost, when I upload everything the form is still working fine, but the drop down list are not displaying anything!! What could be the problem? * I did upload all the tables also Code: [Select] <?php $query="SELECT ID, nationality FROM nationalities"; $result = mysql_query ($query); echo "<select name=first_nationality_father value=''></option>"; echo "<option value=''>-- Choose one --</option>"; while($nt=mysql_fetch_array($result)){ echo "<option value=$nt[nationality]>$nt[nationality]</option>"; } echo "</select>"; ?> Hi By the the way the server this site is hosted on is flipping fast! I'm still a php beginner. My suspicion is one of the endif's. is this possible? I want to remove empty paragraphs from an HTML document using simple_html_dom.php. I know how to do it using the DOMDocument class, but, because the HTML files I work with are prepared in MS Word, the DOMDocument's loadHTMLFile() function gives this exception "Namespaces are not defined". This is the code I use with the DOMDocument object for HTML files not prepared in MS Word: <?php /* Using the DOMDocument class */ /* Create a new DOMDocument object. */ $html = new DOMDocument("1.0", "UTF-8"); /* Load HTML code from an HTML file into the DOMDocument. */ $html->loadHTMLFile("HTML File With Empty Paragraphs.html"); /* Assign all the <p> elements into the $pars DOMNodeList object. */ $pars = $html->getElementsByTagName("p"); echo "The initial number of paragraphs is " . $pars->length . ".<br />"; /* The trim() function is used to remove leading and trailing spaces as well as * newline characters. */ for ($i = 0; $i < $pars->length; $i++){ if (trim($pars->item($i)->textContent) == ""){ $pars->item($i)->parentNode->removeChild($pars->item($i)); $i--; } } echo "The final number of paragraphs is " . $pars->length . ".<br />"; // Write the HTML code back into an HTML file. $html->saveHTMLFile("HTML File WithOut Empty Paragraphs.html"); ?> This is the code I use with the simple_html_dom.php module for HTML files prepared in MS Word: <?php /* Using simple_html_dom.php */ include("simple_html_dom.php"); $html = file_get_html("HTML File With Empty Paragraphs.html"); $pars = $html->find("p"); for ($i = 0; $i < count($pars); $i++) { if (trim($pars[$i]->plaintext) == "") { unset($pars[$i]); $i--; } } $html->save("HTML File without Empty Paragraphs.html"); ?> It is almost the same, except that that the $pars variable is a DOMNodeList when using DOMDocument and an array when using simple_html_dom.php. But this code does not work. First it runs for two minutes and then reports these errors: "Undefined offset: 1" and "Trying to get property of nonobject" for this line: "if (trim($pars[$i]->plaintext == "")) {". Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thank you. I also asked on stackoverflow. I want to remove the file extension - I have done that.
I want to remove the trailing slash. - I have done that
But I cannot for the life of me get the the regular page to display instead of the folder which show a tree of files within it.
site.com/website-tips.php site.com/website-tips/increase speed.php The extension drops off and the trailing slash too but when I navgate back through the vreadcrumb to website-tips (without php in html code) it gives me the folder and shows the file tree (files within website tips folder) How would I solve this? right now if I access the website-tips.php file, it shows the directory and its interior pages Pls hlp out. Hey im having troube making this code as i have no idea how to do it... basically what im trying to do is for example if the index.php?id=XXX i want to echo "this" and if it is just index.php i want to echo "that" your help would be nice thanks <?php $id_lang = $_GET['id']; if($id_lang == $id_lang){ $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM pages WHERE id='$id_lang' ",$connect); while($row44 = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) { $js_langdir = $row44['lang_dir']; }} else{ $js_langdir = "LTR"; } ?> Hi everyone, Basically i have a little task to do and was wondering if anyone is able to help, i would very grateful First task is for me to read a comma delimted file into PHP and store everything into an Array: Comma Delimited File = "houses.txt" (As a reference it means, PostCode, Price ('000's), picture and houses visits) HA11QS, 200, house1.jpg, 4 HA22BR, 280, house2.jpg, 10 HA33AB, 390, house3.jpg, 3 HA44CD, 320, house4.jpg, 8 my basic php for now is: Code: [Select] <?php function getHouse () { $filename = "houses.txt"; $fileRead = fopen($filename, "r"); $rowsArr = file ($filename); for ($i=0; $i < count($rowsArr); $i++) { $lineDetails = $rowsArr[$i]; print $lineDetails . "<br>" ; } fclose($fileRead); } ?> <h3> Welcome </h3> <p> PostCode Number Picture Visits </p> <?php echo getHouse(); ?> What i need to do next is to have a static web form where a user can input a maximum price e.g. 300 And that will return all the houses which are under 300 by reading the whole array I have a basic form setup: Code: [Select] <form method="post" action="maxtest.php" > <input type="text" name="userprice" value="" /> <input type="submit" name="button" value="Submit" /> </form> and also i have a an idea that i need something along the lines of: Code: [Select] $userValue = $_POST['userprice']; if ($userValue == 300) { } Im a bit stuck on how to incorporate the comma delimted array Please help me, thank you Hi, My issue here is that I cant get my if/else statement to work on my secondary page. I include my secondary page (fine.php) from my index page. However, I have an if/else statement in fine.php that keeps reverting back to the index.php and, therefore, outputs the else statement (404.php) here is the if/else on index.php (these links work fine): <?php if($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING']=='/index.php' || $_SERVER['QUERY_STRING']=='') { include 'port.php'; } elseif (isset($_GET['pos'])){ include 'pos.php'; } elseif (isset($_GET['web'])){ include 'web.php'; } elseif (isset($_GET['fine'])){ include 'fine.php'; } else {include '404.php';} here is the if/else on my secondary page (fine.php). These links are supposed to alert the if/else in the next table cell. However, they instead alert the if/else in index.php. <td><br/> <a href="?backset"><img src="fine/thumbs/x-backset.jpg" border="0"></a><br/><br/> <a href="?backside"><img src="fine/thumbs/x-backside.jpg" border="0"></a><br/><br/> <a href="?bannerprint"><img src="fine/thumbs/x-bannerprint.jpg" border="0"></a><br/><br/> <a href="?chopu"><img src="fine/thumbs/x-chopu.jpg" border="0"></a><br/><br/> </td> <td><br/> <div id="DivPiece" align="left"> <?PHP if (isset($_GET['backset'])){ include 'fine/backset.php'; } elseif (isset($_GET['backside'])){ include 'fine/backside.php'; } elseif (isset($_GET['bannerprint'])){ include 'fine/bannerprint.php'; } elseif (isset($_GET['chopu'])){ include 'fine/chopu.php'; } ?> </div> </td> How can I get the links on the secondary page to only alert the if/else statement on that page, and BLOCK the if/else statement on index.php from seeing them? I still want to use the query string though. Thanks! Hello can anyone help with my code, it bombs out if I dont add in a file for attachment but i want to be able to add to the database with just comments (sometimes without a file) Any help appreciated!!! $timestamp = time(); $tbl_name="guestbook"; // Table name $email = $_REQUEST["email"]; $name = $_REQUEST["name"]; $comment = $_REQUEST["comment"]; $datetime = date("dmy"); $uploaddir = "upload/"; $filename = $timestamp.$file['file']['name']; $filename = strtolower($filename); $final_location = "$uploaddir$filename"; $pathinfo = pathinfo($_FILES['userfile1']['name']); if ((($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/gif") || ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/jpeg") || ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/pjpeg")) && ($_FILES["file"]["size"] < 2000000)) { if ($_FILES["file"]["error"] > 0) { echo "Return Code: " . $_FILES["file"]["error"] . I have tried with a VIREITY of differnt size files some from like 2kb to 10mb... i believe somewhere near the > or < is my problem but i dont seem to see it |
