PHP - "http Error 405 - The Http Verb Used To Access This Page Is Not Allowed"
Trying to run a simple program that, when submitted, stores the username and password as cookies. When clicking Submit, I get the error "HTTP Error 405 - The HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed". If the username and password fields are left blank when submitting it's suppose to give a message to enter a username and password, but, I still get that error message.

Are there web hosts that offer MAC address filtering? Any insight is highly appreciated. thanks so much. I'm a very new PHP user (as in, I just started today) and need to make a set of navigation buttons which will take the user to "next" or "previous" pages. I assume that the $_GET function is involved, but I don't know how to do it. It needs to work like this: If the URL looks like "http://website.com/page1.php" I need the "next" button (a href image) to change it to "/page2.php", and while on page 2, for the "previous" button to take the user to "/page1.php" and so forth. How can I cause the page number to increment or decrease respective to the href image being clicked? Hello there, Could anyone tell me why you are not allowed to use "Default" as a function name in php? I searched around and couldn't get a straight answer. Hi, bit stuck on how to find and replace "<" and ">" with "<" and ">". I basically have a database record that outputs to screen and I need the code in the
tags to be rendered to the screen. I therefore need it to go through the whole array variable from the db and change the symbols just inside the code tags. Please be aware that the code tags might happen more than once here's an example below Code: [Select]
blah blah blah

blah blah blah

blah blah blah

hello

blah blah blah

blah blah blah

blah blah blah

hello

the desired output would be:
blah blah blah

blah blah blah

blah blah blah

hello</h1

blah blah blah

blah blah blah

blah blah blah

hello</h1
help on this would be great Cheers Rob I run a dev site locally on Windows and the real site on a hosting provider on LINUX. PHP5, XAMP, etc. Locally my fopen works. On the web server it throws an error: "Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: Unable to access" filepath/name The file exists on both servers; upper/lower case is correct; so are access rights. I noticed the error only today; this was working for the last 7 months; the function serves a range of content-types; just tested XLS and it works. Now I am stuck This line throws the error: $handle = fopen($strPathFileName, 'rb'); $strPathFileName uses / only Any pointers appreciated... thanks. I have seen a lot of resolutions online for example: 1) Copying the "php5isapi.dll" file to the PHP directory & under "Program Files" as well. 2) Copying the "favicon.ico" file etc etc Before I could elaborate the issue, please note that I am a Windows user - Windows XP (I know its not the best of the OS's to work with!!!) When initially I started getting the issue, I checked the "error.log" file under "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\logs" & following is what I saw: ----------------------- [Sun Sep 18 14:13:25 2011] [notice] Server built: Sep 9 2011 10:26:10 [Sun Sep 18 14:13:25 2011] [notice] Parent: Created child process 4420 [Sun Sep 18 14:13:25 2011] [notice] Child 4420: Child process is running [Sun Sep 18 14:13:25 2011] [notice] Child 4420: Acquired the start mutex.
