PHP - Imagecreatefromjpeg() Cannot Read Image Data

After searching postings on multiple forums, I am officially now "Freaking OUT" trying to understand something that is probably very simple, but cannot seem to grasp.

I simply want to read basic .csv data that is sent/uploaded directly to a PHP page, and to then append each record that shows up to a single .csv file on  the server.  

The incoming data is supposed incoming via $_POST['csv'] ... at least that's what I was told.

Each.csv  record line being sent/uploaded is very simple (either single or multiple records in one small file):

text1,text2,text3,text4,text5

For additional processing I know about 'explode', etc., but right now I am stuck even trying to do an 'echo' to display the simple incoming data "as is".

One option I tried was:

$postdata = file_get_contents("php://input");

echo $postdata;

In the Java App monitoring I get the following after 3 records are sent/uploaded to the PHP URL:

Server response status line: HTTP/1.1 200 OK

I find this strange since I did not include...  http_response_code(200); ... in the page code.

Obviously, I do NOT know what I am doing here {SIGH}.

Any assistance or guidance is appreciated.

I am trying to fetch a row in advance of the current one to find out if the next result is the same or not, and do something based on the outcome.

I know how to do this with the old mysql functions like mysql_data_seek.

What is the equivalent in PDO?

I want the below sample to return row number 2, but it returns nothing no matter what number I set the offset to be.

Hi,    before posting this problem, I already tried googling and tried those possible solutions that could help but still failed. I am having a problem with that PHP function

imagecreatefromjpeg(): gd-jpeg: JPEG library reports unrecoverable error:

based from what i found in google, some say, use

ini_set("gd.jpeg_ignore_warning", 1);

failed.   some say, use

init_set("memory_limit", -1)

still failed   I am sure that I am passing .jpg image, how come i keep on getting that error ? any suggestions of what to do?

i hasve the following code:

but i get the following warning:

i dont understand my file does exist...it goes in to the if cos the echo executes
please help i am new to this and have no idea how to fix this

I need some info
Am doing an upload page for pictures, that crops images to two different sizes which works fine with small images. However some larger images it doesn't work (locally it works but not on the my server provider). I can upload the file (3481 * 2346 at 300 dpi) no problem but it actually never executes the imagecreatefromjpeg($myUploadedFile). Is there any issues with large file. I've been doing some recherches but can't seem to find any answer. The obvious idea is to have people upload photos without asking them to resize them.

After working with the sample imagecreatefromjpeg provided in the PHP manual, I successfully got a result (after clearing my cache) from

I've gotten a good education after navigating this function over the past week, and loaded it with ECHO messages to give me insight.

Everything was going fine.

And then, this ONE test image came along.

Apparently, the image (which is as good aj peg as I can find) FAILS the if(!im) test.

When I used echo $im;  

i discovered that when images pass through the function, they receive a "Resource" name.

Images that FAIL are NOT named.

This image gets a Resource name, yet FAILS. Is there a problem with my logic? A problem with the image? What would cause this? How can I verify?

I Can't resize large images with imagecreatefromjpeg()

I can load small 38kb images fine, when they get up 780+- or 1.3 mb +-   (with a width of 2500px * x) I get the below error

I also can upload the same pics in another file with out resizing(using imagecreatefromjpeg())  them and the script works fine.

my max file upload size with xampp is 128mb / php5

I want to read image file and write in to word document file using php. Actually i am developing shopping cart site. for that i have created barcode image. i need to take print outs. for example if i click print means same barcode should be generate 64 times in word document. how i do it?

It works fine in local. but it is not working in server  (it says COM.class is missing). i have checked some forums they said it works with MS based operation system.  i have checked with windows only.

the same can we do with image file (read and write in word document) ??

I am using a photo scrolling css animation technique I'm not sure as far as CPU usage (on server)/(on client) and bandwith usage if loading one picture at a time to scroll versus having a line up "pre-exist" which even then, I would only have five images at a time but what if that is multiplied by 10000 users    Anyway, the current knowledge I have, I have a css animation property that takes in a photo and animates from 0% to 100% keyframe based on margins to make the scrolling happen    In the HTML section there is a list of photos, I would like there to be one line of code that is like a receiver that takes in or reads in arbitrary photo locations and puts that next to be scrolled without interrupting the main animation sequence which I'm not sure if there would be interruption. Anyway I don't know if that is possible. If someone can point out that this idea is obviously flawed then that would be great.   This isn't my ultimate solution, I have yet to see others, I'm just trying to minimize loading and lag    The other problem I have that is interesting is that I want the scrolling to stop when a person hovers over an image, and then resume... I have gotten this to work but only on one image... this is probably a matter of listing out all the key parts of the problem and seeing the solution but    When I had a list of photos that were scrolling together, I could get the whole animation to stop when hovering over the first photo and then take me somewhere (all the photos have working href's) but the animation would not stop if I hovered over  any photos after the first. The animation would keep going    So I tried to animate each picture independently and that was just a cluster ****    Still working on that    If someone could point me in the right direction on the main problem of reading in photos live to work with css animation, that would be great.

Is there a code library out there that can read the exif data from image files, without the use of the php exif extension?  I have a Windows hosting package and am noticing that several hosts don't (and won't) enable the exif extension for PHP for some reason.  I need Windows for one of my sites which requires MS SQL access, so I can't use a Unix/Linux host because of that. But all of them support PHP on Windows.   Suggestions?

Trying to get this done:

Page_1 has many external links, when certain links are clicked i do not want user to go directly to page, but rather go to a special add page_2 where user must click a second time on the link to finally get there.

The add page_2 must show on screen the name of the initial link from page_1, it must change accordingly with the link it came from page_1,once on page_2 the hyperlink redirects outside the site.

So far i am thinking give an id to the div or "<a href..." on page_1 then somehow have page_2 detect that id and fill in the variable for the final external link. Other wise is there a way to detect a url from incoming?

I guess a similar example is how some domain name sellers landing page will indicate the name of the site. Such as "Thisdomain.com" is for sale. same landing page but the name changes according to the domain that was typed.

I got a question im using izabi for me im one who loves the software. But there some quirks that they forgot to add when making the mail system. I was wondering how it would be possible to code in a peice of php where it says read after someone read the email. If you need a copy of the mail mail script let me know.
