PHP - Need Info About Textfield / Dropdown

I have a problem with the following code but i really don't see it:

I try to populate the city textfield by the zipcode entered on the zipcode textfield

When entering a zipcode, nothing happened so i decided to just echo the name of the city using the innerHTML. Still nothing happened, so i commented out all the php in my postcode.php and decided to just do:

then it printed out: 'undefined'

I'm writing a PHP program in which textfields are printed (in a loop) into an HTML table. On a button click, another column is added to the table, and another textfield added. The problem is that when a new textfield is printed, it is slightly above the height of the other textfields (see attached picture if unclear).

I have a form with dropdown list that is populated with values from Sql Server table. Now i would like to use this selected item in SQL query. The results of this query should be shown in label or text field. So when a user selects item from dropdown menu, results from SQL query are shown at the same time.

I have two dropdown list at the moment in my form. First one gets all values from a column in table in SQL Server. And the second one should get a value from the same table based on a selection in first dropdown list.

When i load ajax.php i get 2 error mesages:

This is my code so far. I have tried to do it with this Ajax script. But i can only get first dropdown to work. The second dropdown(sub_machinery) does not show values, when first dropdown item is selected.  I'm new to php first of all.  I'm dynamically binding a dropdownlist with mysql database . After the user selects an item from it , I want to match that item with another table so as to populate another database.

The code I'm using to populate dropdown:

I am not a developer but I can modify code to work for me. The following code works on my test machine (Windows 10, IIS, PHP 7.4) but doesn't work on my website (cPanel, Some version of Linux, PHP 7.4). The two dropdowns are for State and City. You are supposed to be able to select the state and then select a city from that state then bring up a report for craft breweries in the city. When selecting State from the first dropdown, the page refreshes, the URL is correct with the reports.php?cat=<STATE> so $cat is being set, but the first dropdown no longer has the state selected and the second dropdown is populated with All cities and not just one ones from the selected state. Any ides why this is working fine on one machine and not the other?

Very simple question. I have a table with courses and a table with students registered for those courses. I have a page where I can change the course name. What I want to do is, when changing the course name in the course table, I want all students in the students table who are already registered for that course to have that course name updated as well in the student table.

 I'm currently using a field cid to update the courses in the course table however, the student table doesn't have a cid field rather a cname ( course name) which I want to use to update the fields in the student table.

 Is it possible to use

I need some info
Am doing an upload page for pictures, that crops images to two different sizes which works fine with small images. However some larger images it doesn't work (locally it works but not on the my server provider). I can upload the file (3481 * 2346 at 300 dpi) no problem but it actually never executes the imagecreatefromjpeg($myUploadedFile). Is there any issues with large file. I've been doing some recherches but can't seem to find any answer. The obvious idea is to have people upload photos without asking them to resize them.

For some odd reason, my MySQL array is not returning any data. I echo'd the query and it is correct, I looked at the database and that row is in there, but when I print_r the array, nothing. Here is the code.

Hi.  I have built a form on a page call join.php  On this form I pass a variable in this manner;
