PHP - Save Remote Image To Directory
I'm trying to save images from a directory into mine. To get the image I am having to take the email from a database, split it and take whatever it is before the '@' sign and add it to "-S.jpg". I wrote the script and when I echo the variable it shows the correct thing, but when it tries to save it , it is trying to find the image as "script>-S.jpg". It looks like it is taking whatever is after the last '/' which in the variable since I am running javascript it is going to be </script> if you look at my variable $url. Here is the code below. What I want to do: use proxy to bypass same origin policy and to save these values (that changes and need to be checked by timer) into variables that can be modified.

So what I want to do is store the data into variables that I can alter, not show it inside a div using innerHTML. Preferably check this ever so often for changes as well.

I can add that I have the permission from the server owner to retrieve the information and to use it but no possibility to add script to their server, hence the proxy bypass attempt.
This one stumped me, but maybe someone has figured it out. I'm trying to write a script that is able to decide whether a remote url is a directory or a file, this is fine until it comes to mod_rewrite(rewritten?) urls. ex. http://www.example.com/test Now this could be test.php,test.html etc., but in the rare case, it could also be a folder (example.com/test/index.php). Anyone have any ideas? This resizer works fine except I would like it to save the original image AND the thumbnail. Right now its only saving the cropped thumbnail. So instead I'm supposed to upload the image to a directory, and store the link to that directory in database. I am trying to create a form that allows me to add, edit and delete records from a database.
I can add, edit and delete if I dont include the image upload code.
If I include the upload code I cant edit records without having to upload the the same image to make the record save to the database.
So I can tell I have got the code processing in the wrong way, thing is I cant seem to see or grasp the flow of this, to make the corrections I need it work.

But I can't seem to get it working 100%. When the form is posted the cropped image is not created and I get a "The connection was reset" error. The problem here is that the image will be appearing on several users website and i want to be able to save the number of times it has appeared on my database. I know how to do this if the image was on the same server as the database, but not when the image and database are on completely different servers.
