PHP - Simple Coding Problem

The first thing I want to point out is that I am completely php illiterate.

Now that we have that out of the way, here's my scenario.

I built a web form using a program called PC Object Generator from their online site.

Everything went fine.

I uploaded all the files and ran the setup (as instructed).

Here's where the problem comes in.

When I go to www.b-binc.com/corb/setup it takes me to the POG setup.

I then click on the 'pog me up' button and it tells me to re-check my database.

I have emailed the website where I used the program.  Very slow on resposne.  I assume they too are busy with real php people.  That's OK, except that I really need to get this form working.

I contacted my IP and they emailed me back and said everything on their end is working and I have the right login data.

I believe that the problem is in the configuration file.

I have attached the file if anyone has the time to take a look at it and make some suggestions.

I hope this makes any sense.

I have three types of night premium and it only computed of the schedule is  night shift

I have this Night Premium Types:
- NightPremiumRegular (Monday-Saturday)
-NightPremiumSunday (Sunday)
- NightPremiumHoliday

I created table which has a listed of holidays date.

Now I encountered problem in sum of hours in NightPremiumHoliday

for example:
I have attendance 2012-01-01  and it's sunday and it is also holiday..
And the rendered is 8

so the NightPremiumSunday and NightPremiumHolidays computed, but i got problem in computations of NPHours.

I got NPHours = 16, supposively 8, but because it is sunday and holiday it sum the result of hours in Sunday and Holiday..

How can I only get 8 hours if my date is holiday?

Hi.

I have a database named 'Forums' with a table named 'forumlist'. The fields in the table are 'id', 'name', 'link', and 'keys'.

I am trying to search the database in either the 'name' or 'keys' field and display the matches.

I am getting this error:

for example, $this_item = 'john', and i want the script to do (a) if he's in the table, or (b) if he isn't.

The PHP file will not display from the HTML file no matter what I do.  I've tried using every possible combination of file linking including /menu.php   ./menu.php and even the full http://www.wearenip.com/menu.php etc etc etc

I'm genuinely upset about this.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS:  I can't get any PHP file to properly include in any HTML file on any computer I have.  Nothing displays whatsoever regardless of what is in the PHP file, even if it's just a text word.  Doesn't matter if it's hosted on a PHP compatible internet server or just on a local server or just on the local machine itself.  Nothing.

It shouldn't be that difficult I just don't know how to do it myself. I'm using the following code for a simple navigation, i has been placed in the content of my home page, it works fine however i don't know how to set the home page.

I am not great at using php but do use it to process forms on websites.  I always use the same script and just change the relevant sections for each website.  This usually works with no problems.

I am writing an mailing list subscribe/unsubscribe form my website and it works fine as in I get the email sent through with all the information on it and the automated reply gets sent out etc.  The problem is that once the user hits Submit instead of going to the redirect page it stays on the php page.

Hi all,

I have been working on this script for over 5 hours, the script used to work but I have recreated some html code in the html form and I think it may have something to do with why the script does not work but I can not see it.

Hopefully an extra pair of eyes can help.

The I have tested what the $_POST['title'] below echos in the php script and it does carry the value to the php page, but the IF statement does not work.

I am grabbing the _SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] and trying to compare it but this doesnt work

$currpage = $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'];//when i echo this i get ' / '

//but this doesnt work

It will work if i use
