I am facing problems in taking screenshot for the currently open page. What I want is by clicking on a link like "Click for taking Screenshot" the screenshot of that page gets generated, which can be saved further. I have tried by using "imagegrabscreen" & "imagegrabwindow" but both of them results as a big black png image, also searched forums but not able to get the perfect match. If any expert there...then plzzzzz do help me out.... Thank You I'm working on customizing an open-source PHP CRM system (SugarCRM) and need some straightforward PHP help. I'm working thru an old example of writing changes to a log file and I'd like to take it one step further and open a new browser window once the save/write is done. Using the code below, could someone please direct me how to open the new window?. I basically want to pop open a new browser window from within the function below. I tried fopen, but it times out when going to a test URL such as http://www.cnn.com function UserToLog($strText){ $File = 'C:\wamp\www\log.txt'; $Handle = fopen($File, 'a'); $Data = $strText . "\n"; if($Handle){ fwrite($Handle, $Data); fclose($Handle); } //WANT TO OPEN NEW BROWSER WINDOW HERE...or wherever is correct. } All assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks! i am facing issue with DB connection with Oracle DB able to telnet and connect DB from [RHEL] OS command prompt also when i am executing php command with php filename, i am able to connect to the database. i am getting err 500 when trying to open php page from front end.
pls help...!!!! Hi there, Can anybody help me to write php/javascript code which will allow users to open files directly from web browser into desktop application? Here is the specification: I have a photo editing business with many people working in Photoshop. I am currently developing a web based application (joblist) using Javascript and PHP which should allow the photoshop designers to browse and open files/images directly from joblist/web browser into photoshop. The reason I want this instead of browsing folder is that I have a database where I store who worked on which file, when and how long it took. The concept is that, designers will select a file and click on start, as soon as they click on start the original file will open in Photoshop and there will be an entry into database (using PHP). Once they finish the task they will close the file and click on Finish button. My joblist application will be published in a local server and the file will be open on a local network, so when they save the file it will be saved where the source file is located in (local server). The application should work in both PC and Mac. I have already done all other part of the application except file opening directly from browser to desktop application functionality. Anybody can help me to write the code (PHP or Javascript) which can open the file from browser (local server) directly into desktop application e.g. PHotoshop or Illustrator? Thank you very much I look forward to someone's real help! Best regards Mr. Sumon I'd like to use an application that's not browser based, on Internet Explorer. I've read somewhere that this is possible with a PHP script, but which one? If you can get me on the right track, I'd really appreciate it. Cheers. Hi all, Am new to PHP programming and i need some help i am writing a script to grab contents of a web page specified. It is working perfectly for normal websites but for sites needing authentication its failing. Like for example i want to get all the info from "www.google.com/history" ;even though i am logged in its saying please login again n again. do i need 2 include cookies in the script. Please help me n also please provide sample scripts if possible Hello all! I've been searching for sometimes without result on how to write a PHP script to open video streams in a website. When I open a website where there are links to several video streams and what I would like to do is to view them all in a consecutive manner (kind of a playlist). Could any one help me with this? Many thanks in advance! BR, Tomi Hi Guys! I'm new here at PHPFreaks, I have this problem using simplexml_load_file function. I am retrieving an XML from another sub-domain of my project, it's working fine on my local server (win xp, php 5.2.14) but when I try to execute it on our testing server (linux, php 5.2.14) it returns an error something like this.. Warning: simplexml_load_file([url of the script]) [function.simplexml-load-file]: failed to open stream: Connection timed out in [absolute path of the script] on line 3 i have tried cURL and file_get_contents, still get no luck. please note that the XML is validated via w3c.org and works really fine on my local server.. Thanks in advanced! I have an open source project (https://github.com/j.../patchdashboard)
Here's my .htaccess for this:
RewriteEngine On RewriteBase "/pm/" RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule /patches/server/(.*)$ patch_list?server= [QSA,NC,L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule /packages/server/(.*)$ packages?server= [QSA,NC,L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule /search/exact/(.*)$ search?package=&exact=true [QSA,NC,L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule /search/(.*)$ search?package= [QSA,NC,L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule /rewrite_check/(.*)$ rewrite_check.php [QSA,NC,L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^([^/]*)$ index.php?page= [QSA,L]Basically, I want it so that no matter where they drop this script ("/", "/patch_dashboard/", "/pb/", etc.) it will redirect as intended. In the example I provided, the document root is "/pm/". When I try to hit a page ("http://dev2.curltool...es/server/demo1" for example), it gives a 404. If I hard code in each rule the base path, it just redirects everything to the main page. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The Script:
<?php if (isset($_POST['submit'])) { $j = 0; //Variable for indexing uploaded image $target_path = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] . "/gallerysite/multiple_image_upload/uploads/"; //Declaring Path for uploaded images for ($i = 0; $i < count($_FILES['file']['name']); $i++) {//loop to get individual element from the array $validextensions = array("jpeg", "jpg", "png"); //Extensions which are allowed $ext = explode('.', basename($_FILES['file']['name'][$i]));//explode file name from dot(.) $file_extension = end($ext); //store extensions in the variable $new_image_name = md5(uniqid()) . ').<span id="error">***Invalid file Size or Type***</span><br/><br/>'; } } } ?>With this: $dest = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] . "/gallerysite/multiple_image_upload/thumbs/";I get this error message: Warning: imagejpeg(C:/xampp/htdocs/gallerysite/multiple_image_upload/thumbs/): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\xampp\htdocs\gallerysite\multiple_image_upload\upload.php on line 49With this: $dest = "http://localhost/gallerysite/multiple_image_upload/thumbs/";I get this error message: Warning: imagejpeg(http://localhost/gallerysite/multiple_image_upload/thumbs/): failed to open stream: HTTP wrapper does not support writeable connections in C:\xampp\htdocs\gallerysite\multiple_image_upload\upload.php on line 49When I try deleting the "thumbs" folder and then try to upload an image, then I get this error message: Warning: imagejpeg(C:/xampp/htdocs/gallerysite/multiple_image_upload/thumbs/): failed to open stream: Invalid argument in C:\xampp\htdocs\gallerysite\multiple_image_upload\upload.php on line 49The spot of line 49 is this, at the spot where the script creates the thumbnails: /* create the physical thumbnail image to its destination */ imagejpeg($virtual_image, $dest); }Also, with this part right here I am not getting an error message, which means that this part works fine in comparison: $target_path = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] . "/gallerysite/multiple_image_upload/uploads/"; //Declaring Path for uploaded imagesThe script itself works fine. The script also uses javascript for multiple image upload. I am using XAMPP. The folder "thumbs" is set to "read-only", when I try to uncheck the "read-only" option in the properties in Windows then it sets itself back again to "read-only". Then again, the script works fine when it comes to the "uploads" folder. This is mentioned in comparison to the "thumbs" folder. Any suggestions on how to solve this? EDIT: I am using XAMPP. The folder "thumbs" is set to "read-only", when I try to uncheck the "read-only" option in the properties in Windows then it sets itself back again to "read-only". I am wondering if I would have issue that the option sets itself back again with Linux? Edited by glassfish, 11 October 2014 - 05:35 PM. I am trying to develop a browser interface for an embedded system. The code written so far consists of one HTML page and one PHP script. The HTML page creates a form containing a select widget and a submit button. When the submit button is pressed, the selected item is posted to the PHP script for processing. The PHP script does a MySQL query using the form data and generates HTML to display the query result in a table, which displays in a new Web page. All of this works fine. However... I need to change the HTML page to create the select widget choices using a the result of a query run when the HTML page gets displayed. I created a PHP script to do this, and included it in my HTML page in this manner: Code: [Select] <form action="procSomeForm.php" method="post"> <?php include "genSelectList.php"; ?> <input class="main" type="submit" name="submit[view]" value="View" style="width:70px"/> </form> When I tried this, the select didn't appear. I tried moving the <select> </select> out of the PHP script and placing them around the "include". The select now displayed but with no contents. After many failed attempts to resolve any errors in the script, I began to suspect that the browser was ignoring the include directive. I then reduced the problem to this trivial code: Code: [Select] <html> <head> <title>PHP Test</title> </head> <body> <?php include "tmp.php"; echo "<p>This message brought to you by PHP!</p>"; ?> </body> </html> The PHP script looks like this: Code: [Select] <?php echo "<p>Hello from tmp.php!</p>"; ?> My Web browser rendered the result as: Code: [Select] This message brought to you by PHP! ";?> The "hello" message in tmp.php wasn't displayed, and the the browser printed the last few characters of the embedded PHP statement as if they were simple text! I have tried this same experiment on two PCs with the same result. My development PC runs Debian 6.0 (Squeeze) in VMWare on top of WinXP; I access the Web pages locally from within VMWare using IceWeasel. My embedded PC also runs Debian 6.0; I access the Web pages from my WinXP box using Firefox. Interestingly, when I use IE8 to call up the trivial page from the embedded PC, it displays a blank page! Sorry for the long-winded setup to the problem, but I wanted to point out that generating a separate HTML page from a PHP script works; it appears that the issue is with putting PHP statements in an HTML page. Any help will be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance! Chris Hello all, I'm new to PHP and to these forums and i'm having trouble with a little script I'm working on. I have to point out at the start that the script actually works, other than for the error I'm reporting. What it does, is lets the user upload an image to the server and creates a thumbnail imageof it in another folder. This works as intended. (I.e. the images gets uploaded and the thumbnail is created) The issue i'm having is when the work is completed successfully... If there's an error, I update a variable $msg with an error mesage. (File too large, or invalid filetype) If this is the case, the script will render the html code correctly, display the error, then redirect you using javascript after 4 seconds to the original page. No worries here, everything works so far. However, if there is no errors to report and the script is successfull, I update $msg to say "it worked"(or whatever) but instead of displaying the formatted webpage displaying the message, then redirecting after 4 seconds, all that happens is the html code is displayed instead. (If I cut and paste this code into a new htmlfile, it renders correctly.) Attached below is the php code which does all the work. (But not the main php file which calls it) Can someone please point me in the right direction as to what I'm doing wrong! lol (Again, I'm new here so a big hello from me!!!) Code: [Select] <?php print( "<html>\n"); print( " <head>\n"); print( " <title>Random banner and file upload</title>\n"); print( " <link rel=StyleSheet href=\"styles.css\" type=\"text/css\">\n"); print( " </head>\n"); print( " <body>\n" ); $file_upload = "true"; $filetype = $_FILES[ "file_up" ][ "type" ]; $file_name = $_FILES[ "file_up" ][ "name" ]; $startimage = $_FILES[ "file_up" ][ "tmp_name" ]; $largeimage = "images/uploads/$file_name"; $thumbimage = "images/uploadthumbs/thumb-$file_name"; $msg = " "; $invalidfilesize = "<p class='centeralign'>Your uploaded file size is more than 250KB so please reduce the file size and then upload.<br>Visit the help page to know how to reduce the file size.</p>\n"; $invalidfiletype = "<p class='centeralign'>Your uploaded file must be of PNG, JPG or GIF. ( $filetype == "image/x-png" || $filetype == "image/pjpeg" || $filetype == "image/jpeg" || $filetype == "image/gif" ) ) { $msg = $msg.$invalidfiletype; $file_upload = "false"; } //Start the thumbnail generation. if( $file_upload == "true" ) { $n_width = 160; // Fix the width of the thumbnail images $n_height = 120; // Fix the height of the thumbnail imaage switch ( $filetype ) { case "image/x-png"; $FromFormat = "ImageCreateFromPNG"; $ToFormat = "ImagePNG"; break; case "image/jpeg"; $FromFormat = "ImageCreateFromJPEG"; $ToFormat = "ImageJPEG"; break; case "image/pjpeg"; $FromFormat = "ImageCreateFromJPEG"; $ToFormat = "ImageJPEG"; break; case "image/gif"; $FromFormat = "ImageCreateFromGIF"; $ToFormat = "ImageGIF"; break; } if ( function_exists( "$FromFormat" ) )// Generate the thumbnail. { $im = $FromFormat( $startimage ); $width = ImageSx( $im ); // Original picture width is stored $height = ImageSy( $im ); // Original picture height is stored $newimage = imagecreatetruecolor( $n_width, $n_height ); imageCopyResized( $newimage, $im, 0, 0, 0, 0, $n_width, $n_height, $width, $height ); Header( "Content-type: $filetype" ); $ToFormat( $newimage, $thumbimage ); } else { $msg = $msg.$notinstalled; }// Unable to generate the thumbnail. (GD library not installed on web server?) //Move the uploaded file to the correct place.. if( move_uploaded_file ( $startimage, $largeimage ) ) { $msg = $msg.$successfullupload; } else { $msg = $msg.$failedupload; }//Unable to move uploaded file. } Print( "$msg" ); print( " <script type=\"text/javascript\"><!--\n" ); print( " setTimeout('Redirect()',4000);\n" ); print( " function Redirect()\n" ); print( " {\n" ); print( " location.href = 'index.php';\n" ); print( " }// -->\n" ); print( " </script>\n" ); print( " </body>\n" ); print( "</html>\n" ); ?> I'm working with a lightbox plugin to show images when thumbnails are clicked on. The plugin works by wrapping the thumbnail in an anchor tag that has the href as the direct path to the full-size image. This acts as a non-js fallback, so that if JS isn't present for whatever reason, the user still sees the image. When JS is enabled, the image is shown in the lighbox, resized to fit in the lightbox, which is a variable size depending on the browser.
I need to keep a record of the number of times that the image has been clicked on, as thumbnails will be ordered by the number of views. The problem of course is that I'm directly linking to the image, so I can't put a script on this page.
I've tried two things instead, neither of which worked:
1) Instead setting the target as the path to the image, I set it to a PHP script, then outputted the image in an <img/> tag. The problem was that the image is then not resized according to the size of the lighbox. So this is no good.
2) I set the target of the lightbox as a PHP script which recorded the viewing of the image, and redirected to the image page. This didn't work either, as the lightbox showed the data for the image (text) instead of the image itself.
So, I've hit a bit of a barrier. I'm wondering if I can set something up in my PHP settings that will automatically call a script when hitting images, or maybe something in an .htaccess file that will do the same, but I'm not aware of if this can be done, nor how to do it, and I haven't found anything yet with my googling. Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks.
Edited by haku, 26 August 2014 - 07:00 PM. im testing the following script and it wont send 1 2 3 until the script has finished executing. What can i do to flush the buffer after every echo statement?? <?php echo "1"; ob_flush();flush(); sleep(5); echo "2"; ob_flush();flush(); sleep(5); echo "3"; ob_flush();flush(); ?> try { echo "<br>"; foreach($dbh->query("SELECT * FROM test_shot WHERE sold=1 ORDER BY year ASC") as $row) { if($row['picture'] != "" && $row['picture'] != null) { echo "<div class='image-holder'><img src ='".$row['picture']."' width=300px /><br>"; } if($row['year'] != "" && $row['year'] != null) { echo $row['year']; } if($row['description'] != "" && $row['description'] != null) { echo $row['description']; } if($row['sold'] == 1) { echo "<img src='images/sold1.png'><br>";//Add your image code here } elseif ($row['sold'] == 0) { echo "</div><br>"; } } } catch (PDOException $e) { print $e->getMessage(); } ?>
I'm trying to open a URL using fopen() and I keep getting this error: Code: [Select] Failed to open stream: Permission deniedI can not work out what is wrong, it's not a firewall as far as I can tell. Not to say that this occurs in every php software out there, but I far too occasionally notice that the application is written with scattered php open and close tags, for instance
<?php if(true) ?> <?php { ?> Blah blah blah, because it's true <?php } else { ?> because it's not true <?php } ?>To me, it is extremely irritating. Regardless, I see a lot of open source software written this way and I can't help but think that there must be some underlying reason for it. Magento, for example, is written exactly in this manner. The templates are infested with these opened and closed php snippets. Obscurity is not security so I'm ruling security reasons out. Maybe it is more efficient? -- But I couldn't understand why, if so. It seems like that would put more of a drag on the system itself causing php to start and stop parsing continually and excessively, then again, I'm no expert in the field of memory consumption and other operating system complexities. Honestly, in my opinion, it is stupid. i would never write a program that way.. HEREDOCs are much more useful and eye pleasing than that awful <?php { ?> I had the misfortune a few months ago when I purchased an invoicing/customer maintenance system that I didn't know was written for PHP 5.2 or something lower, one that allowed short tags; and thus short tags were used in the same manner as I've described. Is this just plain disorganization or is there some deep-seated inner lining advantage that I'm not aware of? Hi. I found this code for my website, and it work well. Its just that there comes some text I wan't to delete. Code: Code: [Select] <?php /* index.php */ Session_start(); if($_SESSION['login'] == false) { header("Location:login.php"); } $a = $_GET['a']; $source='http://****.elementfx.com/test.php'; //$source='sample.txt'; $page_all = file_get_contents($source); $div_array=array(); preg_match_all('#<div id="intro">(.*?)</div>#sim', $page_all, $div_array); //print_r($div_array); ?> <html> <head> <title>Home</title> </head> <body> <center> <p><b><font color="blue" size="20">*****</font></b> <font color="blue" size="2">version 0.9_01</font></p> <br/> <br/> <br/> <textarea cols="50" rows="10"><?php print_r($div_array[1]);?></textarea> </center> </body> </html> The text it should get is: Quote Hello I'm Something! <p>asdoasduiasdasnda</p> asdasdaksdjas<br/> sdffdsg But the output is: Quote Array ( => Hello I'm Something! <p>asdoasduiasdasnda</p> asdasdaksdjas<br/> sdffdsg ) I need to get rid of the Array( ... thing..
