PHP - Query Variable Interpreted As Column...but Why?

I am trying to create 3 columns of data from a query.  I have used this code before for 2 columns but and now wanting to use for three columns.   There are 5 records from a join query.  The first two columns display the results, 2 results in the left column and 3 results in the center column.  The right column displayw empyt text used in displaying the results, there is no data to populate and it seems to mimic the the number from the center, 3.   Here is the URL to see the problem   http://specialslocat...ignID=1IBu3992p   Here is the Code for the query and the 3 column results.

this is the query:

it used to work but i switched to a different hosting.
The first '' is the id which gives this error:

query failed: Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'id' at row 1

in the database id is a int, with a length of 2 and with auto increment.
How can i fix it?

The Code Below is for my Colony Building page for my game.
That particular code is supposed to display the number of buildings built, which it does, and also allow me to change the number of buildings built, which it doesn't.
The code is part of a loop that displays all the possible buildings of a given type, in this case Iron Mines, that can be built on the colony.
Basically what I need to know is, how do I change the name of the column that is being updated as the code loops. Currently it is setting all the forms to alter the number of Basic iron mines on a colony.
I am hoping I can somehow call the names of all the columns into an array and use the same code that picks which column value i am selecting, the $?(an array)[$b](an incrementing number to call the correct array value):
$?[$b].
Then I would replace Basic, in the column part of the UPDATE code with the array and result selector so that the first time i include() the code it creates the form and sets it to alter Basic, but the second time it sets the code to alter the value in the next column.

I'm having some issues with PHP thinking that the variables that I send it are the actual columns in my database.  First, I pull off Quadratic_Functions and introductory_problem from http://localhost:8888/algebra_book/Chapters/Quadratic_Functions/introductory_problem.php using the code below:

It's almost as if it thinks that my variables are the names of the columns. 

Any thoughts would be appreciated....

This works great, but requires 5 separate queries. My database is very small for now, so its not a big deal, but I know this can be done much more efficiently.

How can I query the whole week and put appointments in their corresponding tables (days)? Thank you for your help!

Basically, my issue with this is that some of the results within the sip_data DB will have zip codes that repeat. The current code prints out each results with the zip code and name - here's an image of a sample result:



What I would like to do is avoid repeating the zip code and just group the results under each zip code, kinda like this:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I'm so close to the answer, but just need a little guidance. Who knows, I might be way off.

I have this variable that I need to get into my database and I just can't think through it. Here is the code.
