PHP - Create Directory And File Upload

I have looked around all overr, but cant find what im looking for. Everything I have found is about uploading multile files, what I need to do is upload one file and copy it so there is 3 files.

Here is an example of what I need to accomplish.

Upload file picture1.jpg

From picture1.jpg create 3 files - smallimage_picture1.jpg, largeimage_picture1.jpg & smallimage_picture1_thumb.jpg

Each file will need to be copied to a /products directory and also an entry for each file name placed in mysql database table.

I don't think this is as simple as it sounds to do in PHP, but i am very willing to learn so if anyone knows of a good tutorial that get get me started that would be super.

So, i'm attempting to acces to a directory taking the name of the anime that the admin put in the input type="text", for upload the file selected in. Error with the var_dump: string(28) "Sous-titres/Akame\ ga\ kill/" Sorry, there was an error uploading your file.   Hope you can help me !

Basically what I am trying to do is create an upload form so that I may choose what predetermined directory in a drop down to upload the file to. For example if I want to upload 'image.jpg' to the folder 'family' I can then use a drop down, select family and upload the image.

So far I have yet to find a script similar to what I am trying to do. I see regular upload scripts, but nothing so that I can choose a predetermined directory. Any ideas?

I have a script that will allow me to mkdir by inputing a folder name and so forth. Is there a way that I can browse for a directory or create one if needed? Is there a browse script so that I can make the dir?

What I am trying to accomplish is an image upload script where I can either create a new directory or choose from an existing one. Is this even possible?

I have a PHP script that uploads images to a folder on my server  (attachments folder). Currently the folder sits within my webroot and is publicly accessible (I have to use chmod 777 due to permissions issue). So, I created the "attachments" folder outside of my webroot (so that it is not publicly accessible), but I do not know how to set the path in the PHP code to upload it to that "attachments" folder outside of the webroot. As you see in the snippet of PHP code below, the code currently uploads the the "attachments" folder within the www (webroot) directory. How do I make it upload to the "attachments" folder OUTSIDE of the www (webroot) directory?

I currently have a file upload form that uploads images to a folder on my server called "attachments". This is the directory path: www.mysite.com/docs/attachments/
However, I want the images to upload to www.mysite.com/data/attachments/ instead. I have included the relevant part of the PHP below. I have tried changing this: $cur_dir = $cur_dir."/".$dir; to this: $cur_dir = $cur_dir."www.mysite.com/data/attachments/".$dir;
and changing this: $dirs = explode("/","attachments//"); to this: $dirs = explode("www.mysite.com/data/","attachments//");

i then would like it to put the photos in the created folder which i think is something like this

I need to upload an image using php and store the image as blob in mysql. I understand the standard way is to create a form for the user, let the user choose the image to upload, click submit.

But I need to create a php, for example, uploadImage.php?image="c:\myPhoto.jpg"
and when I type http:\\www.myhome.com\uploadImage.php?image="c:\myPhoto.jpg"
from a web browser in my pc, I can automatically upload myPhoto.jpg to the myhome.com server?

Firstly, I'm a complete novice, apologies! But I have got my upload.php working which is nice. I will post the code below.

However, I would now like to restrict the file size and file type to only word documents.

I currently have a restriction of 200KB but it's not working - no idea why as I've looked at other similar codes and they look the same.

Also, just to complicate things - can I stop files overwriting each other when uploaded? At the moment, if 2 people upload files with the same name one will overwrite the other.

Is this too many questions in 1?

In this multi file upload form, choose three images, click submit and preview the images on the preview page. If the user wishes to delete or replace an image, click edit and the form will go back to the previous page. Select the replace radio button for example on one of the three images and select a new image from the file input prompt and click submit. The form will go to the preview page again to display the images. During this process the image names are being input into a table and the images are being moved to a directory.

The table is

The code for keep and delete work fine, but how do I replace an image?
I have two foreach blocks. The first one deletes the image file from the directory and deletes the image name from the table, but the second foreach dose not move the new image file into the directory.

['drama_image'] is the name of the file

I wanna echo it out in the box of file upload so when I save , the default picture will still be there instead of being overwritten as the box does not have any value in it.

So, I'm learning how to upload pictures into a system from my awesome PHP book. I've looked and looked through the script but I can't figure out whats wrong with it.

Goal:
The script is meant to save a full version of the image in the images folder and a thumbnail in the thumbnail folder.
Bug:
The full image does not appear in any folder, and the thumbnail is created but its put in the images folder.

Hello, all: been trying to convert this little single-file upload to multiple by naming each file form-field as "userfile[]" as it's supposed to automatically treat them as an array.. but no luck!  Can you guide me as to what am I doing wrong??

As of now it results in every uploaded file returning the error "Max file size is 5MB."
