PHP - Mysql_query "create Database If Not Exists"
If I run this:
mysql_query("CREATE DATABASE IF NOT EXISTS `{$this->db['db']}`", $this->tdb); Will mysql_query() return true or false if the database already exists? I can not run this on my server due to permissions. Similar TutorialsCan someone please help me with an array problem i can not figure out. I need the array to be numbered from 1 to how ever many fields that are needed in the form and have a mysql field name and the title of the field also in the array. 1, "mysql_field_name", "Title of form field" 2, "", "" and so on then the form will be shown based on the array. I have the following draft code which I am working with. any suggestions on how i may do this array ? PHP5, XAMP, etc. Locally my fopen works. On the web server it throws an error: "Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: Unable to access" filepath/name The file exists on both servers; upper/lower case is correct; so are access rights. I noticed the error only today; this was working for the last 7 months; the function serves a range of content-types; just tested XLS and it works. Hi, bit stuck on how to find and replace "<" and ">" with "<" and ">". I basically have a database record that outputs to screen and I need the code in the <code> tags to be rendered to the screen. I therefore need it to go through the whole array variable from the db and change the symbols just inside the code tags. Ive set up a booking form on my website to be sent directly to my email once the client clicked on the send button.. I have a website using a zenphoto photo gallery. I've adapted the CSS/PHP though trial and error to suit my own needs, but now I am thinking of changing the set up of the web page. I've got 10 galleries in 5 "categories", like this: category1-s category1-w category2-s category2-w category3-s category3-w and so on... each category has 2 related options... What I already have is an index for all these categories, where a user can click on the link that says "Category1-S" and it leads to something like this ...zenphoto/index.php?album=category1-s That works fine, but what i WANT to have is a dynamic link on THAT page that will link to the related page. So on zenphoto/index.php?album=category1-s there would be a link that references the gallery "category1-s" truncates the "s" and adds "w" in its place, so the actual link would be "zenphoto/index.php?album=category1-w" On the page for category2-s that link would read "zenphoto/index.php?album=category2-w" and on the page category3-s the link would read "zenphoto/index.php?album=category3-w" The link would be dynamic and would reference the actual URL of the page in order to create the link. I feel that this must be possible, but I don't know what it would be called, so my searches haven't found anything... For example, I want it to pull the first and last name fields from a database to populate names in a drop down menu in a form. I want the form to submit to the email address of the person selected in the drop down. Is this possible to do? The email is already a field in the record of the person in the database. Can anyone give me some pointers or advice on how I should go about setting up the "Select" box drop down? I am not sure how to code it to do what I am wanting. The database table is of type innodb. I see some errors in my log file of the nature, "(1205) Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction". I have a class which contains the session handler callbacks and have made it a singleton class. session_set_save_handler( array($this, "db_open"), array($this, "db_close"), array($this, "db_read"), array($this, "db_write"), array($this, "db_destroy"), array($this, "db_gc") ); In my "db_read" method, I am doing a "SELECT FOR UPDATE" on the row with the session id. So, while performing load testing on my app. which has a lot of ajax calls, I noticed the "lock wait timeout" errors. How do I resolve this problem? Any suggestions? 1) Should I catch these errors and issue a explicit "commit" in the read or write methods? 2) Should I specify a higher timeout value for "innodb_lock_wait_timeout"?
