PHP - Limit Form Names Then Line Break
how do I make this form here have a limit on the value's name, then it moves to the next line?
Code: [Select] <form action=\"reply.php?com_id=$com_id\" method=\"post\"> <font color='brown'><u><input type=\"submit\" name ='submit' class=\"link\" value='$title'></u></font> </form> Similar TutorialsCode: [Select] $result = mysql_query("SHOW COLUMNS FROM ".$table.""); $i = 0; if (mysql_num_rows($result) > 0) { while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) { $csv_output .= $row['Field'].","; $i++; } } $csv_output .= "\n"; $values = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM ".$table.""); while ($rowr = mysql_fetch_row($values)) { for ($j=0;$j<$i;$j++) { $csv_output .= $rowr[$j].", "; } $csv_output .= "\n"; } print $csv_output; I'm using the above to get a csv output in my browser, but it appears as a string of text eg a1,a2,a3,a4,b1,b2,b3,b4,... I'd like it to appear as a1,a2,a3,a4 b1,b2,b3,b4 c1,c2,c3,c4 Any ideas how? hi i have some troubles to create a new line break for this code: i already tried: Code: [Select] echo "<input type='radio' name='gropu1' value='$id'>$data \n "; // Code: [Select] echo "<input type='radio' name='gropu1' value='$id'>$data.\n "; // Code: [Select] echo "<input type='radio' name='gropu1' value='$id' >$data.'\n'"; what is the correct syntax for that? I want to have a line break between the lastname and the age. Please help. echo $line["firstname"].' '.$line["lastname"].' Age is'.$line["age"].'!'; echo '<div class="gamename">'.$values[0].'</div>'; echo '<div class="gameimage"><a href="'.$values[3].'"><img src="'.$values[1].'"></a></div>'; NOW i want 2nd echo under 1st echo. I tried every single <br> combination but no luck Also my 2nd question is: my image and link is a variable, it displays the image but there is something wrong with link. Variable is just like this www.mydomain.com\image\blabla.php but it shows link as==> www.mydomain.com\ instead of what i wrote above. I'm trying to use SESSIONS, the start of my page looks like this: <?php session_start(); and the start of the source code looks like this: <br /> <b>Warning</b>: session_start() [<a href='function.session-start'>function.session-start</a>]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by The <?php tag is on line 1, yet as you can see Notepad++ seems to add a <br /> before it, which results in the sessions not working. How can I fix this? How do i get the first part of the string, all the way up until the string hits a line break? Code: [Select] <?php $string = "The quick red fox\n jumped over the brown\n lazy dog."; function first_of_string($str) { //php magic return $first_of_string; } echo first_of_string($string); //would produce "The quick red fox" ?> hi, i am using a database to populate a webpage with text. How do I make a function to add line breaks to the text? an example page I want to use it on it http://www.stayneartheairport.com/bandb.php?id=11084507&airport=manchester You can see the two text areas of description and facilities have no paragraphs or other formatting. I want the code to scan the text - and if there is say <br> - it will remove it an replace it with a line break. I am extracting data from one of the sites.I would join these sentences separated by , (comma). The solution that comes to my head is by inserting the text in the file and then using file functions.However, i was wondering if i can use str_replace here . Can anyone please point me in the right direction. Here is what the the output of the RSS looks like.
<description><![CDATA[<div style='text-align:left;'>Exit ramp closed. <br/><b>Current Status:</b> Open<br/><b>Affected Lanes:</b> Exit Ramp<br/><b>Dates:</b> Wednesday, May 28 - Thursday, May 29<br/><b>Days Closed:</b> <font color='#808080'>S</font><font color='#808080'>M</font><font color='#808080'>T</font><font color='#FF0000'><b>W</b></font><font color='#FF0000'><b>T</b></font><font color='#808080'>F</font><font color='#808080'>S</font> 20:00 PM - 6:00 AM</div>]]></description>Notice at the first is "Exit ramp closed." There is nothing before it but, for some weird reason when I parse it. It is on a new line like so, notice it should be up there with "Incident" but, it is dropped down below it. Incident: Exit ramp closed. Current Status: Open Affected Lanes: Exit Ramp Dates: Wednesday, May 28 - Thursday, May 29 Days Closed: SMTWTFS 20:00 PM - 6:00 AMThis is how it is formated in the td cell. <td style='{$td2Style}'><strong>Incident:</strong> {$incident_data_desc}</td>\n";So as you can see above, there is nothing before it that would cause it to break to a new line both in the table or in the RSS. So how can I remove that first return only is that is on the same line with it and not below it. I have tried this and a couple of other things like trim with no luck. $description = $item->description; $incident_data_desc = str_replace("\r", '', $description );Note, I only need that first one removed, the others are fine. I can do it but it will remove all the breaks and I only want to remove that first one that is causing the line to be on a new line. Any suggestions? -Thanks I am having problems with these slashes. They keep showing up when I echo data.... The code is to update a field in a mysql database table. Here is my code: Code: [Select] $query = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `bus` WHERE username='$username'"); $row = mysql_fetch_array($query); $bio = $row['about']; $bio = str_replace("<br />","\r\n",$bio); if(isset($_POST['submit'])){ if(empty($errors)){ if($password == $pass){ $about1 = mysql_real_escape_string($_POST["about"]); $about1 = str_replace("\r\n","<br />",$about1); mysql_query("UPDATE bus SET about='$about1' WHERE username='$username'"); }else{$errors[] = 'Incorrect Password';} } } When I run this and put: About: I'm very tired today It's been very hard I get the about1 string as: I\\\'m very tired today\r\nIt\\\'s been very hard Why??? It is supposed to create 1 form for each blueprint so that a player can add only to the number of that blueprint on their colony. The displays work perfectly. It creates 1 div that properly displays the stats of each mine in the database table. It also creates one form for each div. The problem I have is, I can only make the forms add 1 to all the buildings on a colony. The name='' value of the form and the $_POST[''] values do not increment with the rest of the code. I need a way to make each form apply only to the div which displays a specific mine. So where $i=0 the first form should only alter the value in imbuilt for the stats that are displayed by the rest of the div created for $i=0. Ok so I am writing a CMS to wrap around a company script I wrote a while back. I am having trouble requesting dynamic form names. Heres the code to generate the input fields: $fields = mysql_result($result,$i,"fields"); $exFields = explode(",", $fields); for($i = 0; $i < count($exFields); $i++){ echo "$exFields[$i] : <input type=\"text\" name=\"$exFields[$i]\"> <br>"; } Ok so it generates the fields the way I want. (design crap will be done later) But I am having issues on processing the form, for example: Fields get generated -> Client Fills them in -> Submitted into our already built function. The function takes those form values and creates an XDF file with the correct requested values. But like I said I am having issues requesting the form values because they wont be static they will differ depending on each PDF. Can anyone point me in the direction on how to get the form values? Unless buffer overflows or breaking out of code to perform a new command are problems that have been solved.... I am trying to figure out the proper PHP method for setting a boundary on a variable within a script. I have this variable $name which is fed a value from $_POST['name'] from a form field. Now this form field is limited in the HTML to accept only 20 characters, but someone could easily edit the form or outgoing post data. So I want to know how to limit the variable size in the script. In other languages it could be something like this: var name(20). So how do I do that in PHP? Hi, I wanted to know if it is possible to have multiple contact forms on my blog that basically send questions to different email accounts, but also have a limit of say 5 emails per week to each account. After the limit of 5 has been sent for that week I can display a message stating the weekly limit has been reached. I need to this as I am trying to an experts Q&A section but the experts only agree to 5 emails every week and don't want any more emails than that. I was thinking about using the Contact Form 7 plugin for Wordpress for the multiple email accounts bit but don't really know how to do the weekly limit. Any help with how to do so would be much appreciated. Thanks guys, I have looked on google for this and apparently noone is doing it. I have 4 checkboxes and I want to send mail indicating which boxes were checked. the only code I've found is PHP that captures the *status* of the boxes, such as "on" or "off". I want to capture the names of the actual checkbox elements. Here is the code I'm currently testing (which just prints out "on" or "off" to indicate which boxes are checked): if(isset($_POST['checkboxes'])) { foreach($_POST['checkboxes'] as $selected){ echo $selected . "</br>"; } } else { echo "No Desired Contact Time Specified."; } if I check all 4 boxes for instance, I get this: on on on on any way to get the names? thanks! I'm trying to add a file size limit to my upload form-code (below) My Php Buddies, I have mysql tbl columns these:
id: Now, I want to display their row data by excluded a few columns. Want to exclude these columns: date_&_time account_activation_code account_activation_status id_verification_video_file_url password
So, the User's (eg. your's) homepage inside his account should display labels like these where labels match the column names but the underscores are removed and each words' first chars CAPITALISED:
Id: 1
For your convenience only PART 1 works. Need help on Part 2 My attempted code:
PART 1 <?php // Check connection if ($conn->connect_error) { die("Connection failed: " . $conn->connect_error); } // Query to get columns from table $query = $conn->query("SELECT COLUMN_NAME FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS WHERE TABLE_SCHEMA = 'members' AND TABLE_NAME = 'users'"); while($row = $query->fetch_assoc()){ $result[] = $row; } // Array of all column names $columnArr = array_column($result, 'COLUMN_NAME'); foreach ($columnArr as $value) { echo "<b>$value</b>: ";?><br><?php } ?> PART 2 <?php //Display User Account Details echo "<h3>User: <a href=\"user.php?user=$user\">$user</a> Details</h3>";?><br> <?php $excluded_columns = array("date_&_time","account_activation_code","account_activation_status","id_verification_video_file_url","password"); foreach ($excluded_columns as $value2) { echo "Excluded Column: <b>$value2</b><br>"; } foreach ($columnArr as $value) { if($value != "$value2") { $label = str_replace("_"," ","$value"); $label = ucwords("$label"); //echo "<b>$label</b>: "; echo "$_SESSION[$value]";?><br><?php echo "<b>$label</b>: "; echo "${$value}";?><br><?php } } ?> PROBLEM: Columns from the excluded list still get displayed. Edited November 19, 2018 by phpsaneOnce you have a form compleated by the on line client how do you get the finished form sent to your E-Mail address? I know it has to have something to do with the submit button but being a newbie at this PHP I'm not quite sure. Right now I have this long form all in HTML www.lakegenevapieco.com/product_list.htm Yeah, I know... it was originally done in the infamous Front Page software. It will probably need to be compleatly rewritten but that's where I need the advice. By the way I know what this is but what is this one ? hello, is there a way to have it so that when somebody enters information into a textbox in a form, it will keep the formatting (if they have 5 lines, it will show as 5, not 1) Code: [Select] $name = $_POST['name']; $resume = $_POST['resume']; $to = "mike@web.com"; $subject = "Resume From Website"; $message = "Name: $name <br /> Resume: $resume "; $from = "resume@web.com"; $headers = "From: $from \r\n Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO_8859-1\r\n Content-Transfer_Encoding: 7bit\r\n\r\n"; mail($to,$subject,$message,$headers); |
