PHP - Database Error Question

quick question... I have a column in my table called views. I want to reset the column to 0 for each row in the table. What's the easiest way to do this?

Just want some advice on how to do the below:

I already have one table called 'venopt' which has two fields one is 'id' and 'venues'

I also already have a table for members details called 'ptdata' and has 'id' 'firstname' and 'surname' etc

Both ids in each table are primary keys and autoincremented.

The user will be selecting options from the 'venues' table and submitting them via POST.

How should i then handle the data, is it best to setup another table which will store the selections and if so how would i go about that?

Or is it best to store the details in an array say in the 'ptdata' table.

Either way I would also want to retrieve the contents of the array and display it in another drop down list?

Any ideas

Is there any other way of getting PHP form data into C# any other way besides calling

I am having issues  bringing all the entries into C# and breaking them all up.  I can do one row fine but multiple rows isn't working.  I keep getting an out range error.

I have two entries in the database.  But when I debugged the number int he array I get 3 strings.

I want to show the top five entries in the database.

I have this script that is supposed to upload a csv file to a mysql database but I am getting the following error: 

Successfully uploaded. sending Data...The used command is not allowed with this MySQL version
ERROR, could not add the CSV data to your database.

Hi guys

When I retrieve information from database into text field and update the fields, each time I press on update button, an space gets added before the text so in screenshots I have added you can see in image1 everything is fine but once I click on update, a space will be added before the text inside the text field.

Hello everyone,

quick description of 'error handling' so that everyone understands the solution i am seeking. let php and the database handle the error is not an appropriate answer here.

find out what i mean: using xampp, go to a login screen of your website, then turn off the database before submitting the login data. the connection will be attempted then fail. the browser will display its own error page which is white bg with a message. this is ridiculous. i made a custom handler that allows me to ignore this failure and show my own website with an error message.

now how can i detect an error with a select or update statement? i am not a db designer, so i really don't know how to do it. what say i fetch filed['testmyerror'] and it doesn't exist or there is a problem. how do i write php code that is used to ignore this problem and display my own message. naturally i will log the error and/or log and send email to myself.

anyone able to help? just a tip in the right direction?

I need help in my code,

it states 'Error querying database' when I set
$result = mysql_query($query, $dbc).

And strange thing happens when I switched $query and $dbc place, and I  got a different error msg
