PHP - Event Based
I have a page where I want a success and a fail response. It's a contact page so, if they fill in all that's required, and send, a success "message" will pop up but if they send but for some reason, it fails, to display a fail "message".
What it does right now is the fail and success are constantly visible regardless. So how do I make it display the corresponding message accordingly? *Also how am I to make the text within the boxes invisible ? But that's lower priority Similar Tutorialsi am looking for simple php mysql base event calender..that shows upcoming events...i would very helpful for your help.any tutorial.video.or helping link..??
This topic has been moved to PHP Applications. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=330163.0 I have a listener which executes a HTTP request to a remote API before the User entity is persisted and uses the response to set one of the entity's properties. It will also listen for update and remove and will make the appropriate HTTP request to the API but will not modify the entity. All works as desired... Almost. If when persisting the entity, I have some error, the remote API and my application become out of sync. I wish to change my application to perform a second call to the API if an error occurs and reverse the previous call. My thoughts on how to implement a Place a try/catch block when executing the query. Don't like this approach. Add an ExceptionListener which somehow retrieves the entity and makes the applicable changes. Maybe part of the solution, but too complicated to be the full solution. When adding, updating, or deleting a user from the remote API under UserListener's three methods, adding a callback which gets executed upon a PDOException. I think this is the best approach and expanded my thoughts below.
<?php namespace App\EventListener; use Doctrine\Persistence\Event\LifecycleEventArgs; use App\Service\HelpDeskClient; use App\Entity\AbstractUser; final class UserListner { private $helpDeskClient; public function __construct(HelpDeskClient $helpDeskClient) { $this->helpDeskClient = $helpDeskClient; } public function prePersist(AbstractUser $user, LifecycleEventArgs $event) { $this->helpDeskClient->addUser($user); //$user will be updated with the HTTP response } public function preUpdate(AbstractUser $user, LifecycleEventArgs $event) { $this->helpDeskClient->updateUser($user); } public function preRemove (AbstractUser $user, LifecycleEventArgs $event) { $this->helpDeskClient->deleteUser($user); } } Okay, how do I actually do this? Was thinking of modifying UserListner as follows: //... use Symfony\Component\HttpKernel\KernelEvents; final class UserListner { // ... public function prePersist(AbstractUser $user, LifecycleEventArgs $event) { $this->helpDeskClient->addUser($user); $event->getObjectManager()->getEventManager()->addEventListener(KernelEvents::EXCEPTION, function($something) use($user) { // Use $this->helpDeskClient to reverse the changes }); } // Similar for update and remove }
But when trying this approach, I get a PDOException, but my callback never gets excecated. I've also tried replacing KernelEvents::EXCEPTION with '\PDOException' (note the quotes) with no success. Any ideas what I should be doing differently? Maybe some totally different approach? I suppose I could make the request to the API after the DB query is complete for updating and deleting, but not for adding. I have a need for the execution of a script on a weekly basis. In this instance, I need the PHP script to start executing every Monday at 00:00:01 (very first second of the week). How can I achieve this?? howdy all I was wondering if anyone has any Basic Event calendar or a tutorial for a basic one.. Thank you SilentHunter I have a page for event registration and I have subevents that will have a check mark by them. how do i make it so that a check mark only appears if a subevent is present? Hi, I am using the backbone.js and full calendar script in my website. However, on clicking OK in the popup to add events, no action is taking place. Actually the event should be displayed on that specific date on clicking OK. the cancel button is working fine. I am using the link http://blog.shinetech.com/2011/08/05.../#comment-2245 Help me please. Thank you in advance Hello all This may seem stupid coming in here with absolutely no code to show. I am in planning of a php event calender for my work place and I am a very PHP rookie basically i am asking for directions to go with this. I have written scripts before but not like this. I currently have a database set up for the events and about to write to that databases table. I have date as a primary key and in format of date (2012-05-14). what i am trying to figure out is how do i take this date have it find the correct day on the calender? I hope someone can help me a little here i know i have asked a lot but could use a point in the right direction. Thank you, Nis How to self check what event i am using, my event : <checkout_cart_product_add_after> how to print, i tried : $event = $observer->getEvent()->getName(); Mage::log($event, null, 'logfile.log'); its not printing I am workin on a event calendar and i ran into a problem.. it shows the calendar and the today's date and 1 event on each month but i want it to show all the events for each month. my problem is i can't figure out how to loop it so it will.. here is where im having trouble at.. Code: [Select] for ($i=0; $i<($maxday+$startday); $i++) { if(($i % 7) == 0 ){ echo "<tr>"; } if($i < $startday){ echo ("<td bgcolor='414141'> </td>"); } else { if (($i - $startday + 1) == $today && $currentmonth == $cMonth && $currentyear == $cYear){ echo ("<td bgcolor='FF0000'><center><font color='FFFFFF'>".($i - $startday + 1)."</font></center></td>"); } else { // this is where i need it to loop if (($i - $startday + 1) == $eday && $eMonth == $cMonth && $eYear == $cYear){ echo ("<td bgcolor='0000FF'><center><a class='info' href='#'><font color='FFFFFF'>".($i - $startday + 1)."<span>".$event."<hr><br>".$event_des."</span></font></a></center></td>"); } else { echo ("<td bgcolor='595959'><center><font color='FFFFFF'>".($i - $startday + 1)."</font></center></td>"); } } if(($i % 7) == 6 ) { echo "</tr>\n"; } } } i marked where the loop needs to go in red.. currently i have the sql query right above it in my script but i tried putting it where i need the loop and i get a error in there or it duplicates the calender and sometimes the numbers. can some please help me? Thank you Outsider_Child i have built an event adding script... when the admin adds an event a drop down menu pulls all the users in the DB to create the event for.. i set the option to their full name, but the value to the userid... when it stores it to the database it stores the userid as XXX for example, but i'd like to store in another field their full name according to the userid, how is this acheivable im completly baffled. I got this Event Calendar Script off of a site and i like it but it reads from a Flat File Database and i would like it to read from a mysql database. Can someone help me set it up so it will read from a mysql database? here is the script where its calling from the flat file.. This topic has been moved to Third Party PHP Scripts. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=348839.0 Hello all, I need to basically run a PHP file stored on a server when other specific files are modified, but only then. Is this possible with PHP? Thank you for the feedback, Hello, I am quite new in PHP. I am doing a page with list of events (seminars). The events are saved in a XML file in chronological order and their each event has its date in d-m-Y format and time in h:m format. What I need to do is find the next event (with respect to the actual date and time). I can do it using a loop (foreach) and stringtotime() and comparing obtained values. However, this seems to be quite a clumsy way. Is there any better way to do it? Maybe there is a function, package or some extension, which I don't know... I tried xpath, however it does not know how to compare the dates (I use xml 1.0). Thank you very much. My db: CREATE TABLE `tb_event` ( `id` tinyint(4) NOT NULL auto_increment, `t_date` date default NULL, `t_event` varchar(75) default NULL, `t_place` varchar(75) default NULL, `t_content` text, PRIMARY KEY (`id`) ) Records: 1, '2011-01-09', 'event 1', ... 2, '2011-05-12', 'event 2', ... 3, '2011-09-20', 'event 3', ... ------- My code he <? $now = date("Y-m-d"); ... ... SELECT * FROM tb_acara WHERE t_tanggal >= $now ... ... ?> It will show all records.. I change >= with <= it didn't show anything ------- My goal is: I only want to show the event which in September (month of 9) on record number 3 Can you help me please guys?? Thanks Hello guys I am developing my own system with event calendar but I stucked in the part where I should mark in the same way event which continue more than one day.What is my point - lets take for example google calendar, here you can see how the bar is purple for all 3 days marked for street cleaning : http://www.file-extensions.org/imgs/app-picture/6718/google-calendar.jpg Can you give me only an idea how I should proceed,what to use to achieve such result,what are my best options ? Thank you Hi guys, I have this code below that selects and display all events from my database table. E.g if an event titled 'PHP' starts 5th March and ends 6th March (03/05/2012 - 03/06/2012) Code: [Select] //SQL QUERY for Event $sqlCount = mysql_query("select * from eventcalender"); $noOfEvent = 0; while($Event = mysql_fetch_array($sqlCount)){ $startDate = $Event['startDate']; $endDate = $Event['endDate']; //split date list($smonth, $sday, $syear) = explode('/',$Event['startDate']); list($emonth, $eday, $eyear) = explode('/',$Event['endDate']); //change date to date time format $start = new DateTime($sday.'-'.$smonth.'-'.$syear); // DD-MM-YYYY $endDate= new DateTime($eday.'-'.$emonth.'-'.$eyear); // DD-MM-YYYY $curdate = new DateTime($i.'-'.$month.'-'.$year); if ($start <= $curdate && $curdate <= $endDate) { $noOfEvent++; $eventTitleList = $eventTitleList."<br />".$Event['Title']; } } My question is if I had a drop down and the user selects a half day or partial day for the end date (03/06/2012) how do I get the calender to display the word (Half day) on the end date without displaying it on the start date so as to indicate on the calender that the end date is a half day. I would appreciate you help and advice.
