PHP - Mysql Image Pagination Issues
i've found a pagination script of the internet but the image comes up blank. I've stored it in a largeblob. When i check the html it says 'array[name]' as the image pz help me heres the code:
<?php //connection stuff here $page = 1; if ( isset( $_GET['page'] ) ) { $page = (int) $_GET['page']; } $query = mysql_query("SELECT COUNT(*) FROM `upload`",$link); list( $total ) = mysql_fetch_row( $query ); $total = ceil( $total / $perPage ); $start = ( $perPage * ( $page - 1 ) ); $limit = ''; $show = true; if ( $total > 1 ) { $limit = " LIMIT {$start}, {$perPage}"; } else { $show = false; } $query = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `upload` ORDER BY `id`{$limit}"); while( $row = mysql_fetch_assoc( $query ) ) { echo "<img src=\"{$row['file_name']}\" alt=\"{$row['name']}\" title=\"{$row['name']}\" />"; } if ( $show ) { $prev = $page - 1; $next = $page + 1; if ( $prev > 0 ) { echo "<a href=\"{$thispage}?page={$prev}\">[PREV]</a>"; } if ( $next < $total ) { echo "<a href=\"{$thispage}?page={$next}\">[NEXT]</a>"; } } ?> Similar TutorialsHi All, This is my first post on here. I'd really appreciate any help with this, it's driving me mad. I'm trying to create a form to save a image into a mySQL database. I have a website hosted by UK2.net which has a mysql db with a table called gallery(name (varchar 30), size (int), type varchar(30), thePic(mediumBlob)). I have a form with this: Code: [Select] <td><p><label>Pic: </label></td><td><input name="userfile" type="file" id="userfile" /></td></p> Which when submitted actions addImage.php. The code for this looks like this: Code: [Select] <?php $fileName = $_FILES['userfile']['name']; $tmpName = $_FILES['userfile']['tmp_name']; $fileSize = $_FILES['userfile']['size']; $fileType = $_FILES['userfile']['type']; $fp = fopen($tmpName, 'r'); $content = fread($fp, filesize($tmpName)); $content = addslashes($content); fclose($fp); if(!get_magic_quotes_gpc()) { $fileName = addslashes($fileName); } $con = mysql_connect("localhost", "userName", "password") or die(mysql_error()); mysql_select_db("dbName", $con) or die(mysql_error()); $query = "INSERT INTO gallery (name, size, type, thePic) ". "VALUES ('$fileName', '$fileSize', '$fileType', '$content')"; if (!mysql_query($query,$con)) { die('Error: ' . mysql_error()); } echo "<br>File $fileName uploaded<br>"; ?> I get the following error message: Quote Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: Filename cannot be empty in /home/hiddenje/public_html/addImage.php on line 13 Does anyone know what this is about? I've been on out friend google and a lot of people seem to be pointing to permissions but I can't seem to apply it to my scenario and just can't get it to work. Im a developer by trade, but this is my first step into the...interesting world of PHP and mySQL. Again, I'd appreciate any help with this. I'd love someone to talk me through exactly what I'm missing or doing wrong. Thanks in advance. when i filter a search it shows 1st page but cannot show contents on 2nd page. i have the following code: <? include_once "connect.php"; if(trim($_REQUEST['searchkeyword'])!="") { $searchkeyword=$_REQUEST['searchkeyword']; $searchkeyword1=str_replace(".", "", $searchkeyword); } if($_REQUEST['stype']!="" && $_REQUEST['start']=="" && trim($_REQUEST['searchkeyword'])!="") { $qry="INSERT INTO search_history set search_type='".$_REQUEST['stype']."', search_text='".$_REQUEST['searchkeyword']."', search_date=now(), result_url='course_listing.php?searchkeyword=".$_REQUEST['searchkeyword']."'"; mysql_query($qry); $_GET['stype']=""; } $PVR_SectionID="2"; $extQry=""; $extQry2=""; if(isset($_REQUEST['searchkeyword'])) { $extQry.=" and (department like '%".$_REQUEST['searchkeyword']."%' or course_title like '%".$searchkeyword1."%' or course_title like '%".$_REQUEST['searchkeyword']."%' or course_desc like '%".$_REQUEST['searchkeyword']."%')"; $extQry2=" and (name like '%".$_REQUEST['searchkeyword']."%' or contact_name like '%".$_REQUEST['searchkeyword']."%' or country like '%".$_REQUEST['searchkeyword']."%' or city like '%".$_REQUEST['searchkeyword']."%' or description like '%".$_REQUEST['searchkeyword']."%')"; } if(isset($_REQUEST['subject'])) { $extQry.=" and sub_id in ("; $cnt=0; foreach($_REQUEST['subject'] as $k=>$v) { $cnt++; if($cnt>1) { $extQry.=",".$v; } else { $extQry.=$v; } } $extQry.=") "; } if(isset($_REQUEST['region'])) { $extQry.=" and uni_id in (SELECT id from institution where is_active='1' and reg_id in("; $extQry2.=" and reg_id in("; $cnt=0; foreach($_REQUEST['region'] as $k=>$v) { $cnt++; if($cnt>1) { $extQry.=",".$v; $extQry2.=",".$v; } else { $extQry.=$v; $extQry2.=$v; } } $extQry.=") ) "; $extQry2.=")"; } if(isset($_REQUEST['studymode'])) { $extQry.=" and id in ( SELECT course_id from course_qdm where mode in ("; $cnt=0; foreach($_REQUEST['studymode'] as $k=>$v) { $cnt++; if($cnt>1) { $extQry.=",'".$v."'"; } else { $extQry.="'".$v."'"; } } $extQry.=") ) "; } if(isset($_REQUEST['institution'])) { $extQry.=" and uni_id='".$_REQUEST['institution']."'"; } $courseQry="SELECT * FROM course where is_active='1' $extQry "; $crsRes=mysql_query($courseQry); $totCourse=mysql_affected_rows(); $pgLimit=10; $shFrom=intval($_REQUEST['start'])+1; $shTo= $shFrom + $pgLimit - 1; if($shTo>$totCourse) $shTo=$totCourse; $CRSresult=$prs_pageing->number_pageing22($courseQry,$pgLimit,10,'N','Y'); $courseQry="SELECT * FROM institution where is_active='1' $extQry2"; $instRes=mysql_query($courseQry); $totInstitution=mysql_affected_rows(); ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <? I know! OK here is a code that I worked on to get a grocery store items list displayed in a table in a paginated design. Everything is working fine except I don't know how to dynamically display auto incremented indexID range on that particular page, like 1-10 11-20 21-30 31-40 and so on (something like amazon items in cart) instead of page numbers << < 1 2 3 4 > >> as pagination hyperlink to move between different pages. Provided I have a result set of 100 pages. Method 1: <select> <option>1</option> .... </select> Method 2: Link on Page 1, 2, 3 ... 100 If there is any algorithm with PHP for automated these displays, please demonstrate it. Hi There! Hopefully someone can help. I'm looking for some php script that allows me to display mysql table data in alternating row colors (eg 5 columns and 500 rows). I would also like to add pagination and limit number of rows displayed at a time to e.g. 50. If possible I'd like to be able to sort asc/desc using titles(links) at the top of the displayed data. Hopefully someone may have a script like this that also shows the mysql connection code (sample host, pass, user etc...) - a working php file so to speak that I can edit. Would really appreciate the help. If you could recommend some software or a wizard that could generate the php code for me I would really appreciate it too! THANKS! Hi, my page is currently up at brewhas.org/transactions.php. When I retrieve a set of results > the defined # per page (such as entering 'WI' for last name), I see the first page correctly, and see the links to next pages, but when I go to the next page there are no results displayed. Same for p.3, etc. So I've looked around enough to know that I need to pass a variable to the subsequent pages, either via a session variable or the URL. I have 2 fields input on the form, as well as a limit and offset. My questions are 1) do I need to pass all 4 and if so then should I use a session variable so the URL does not get too long, and 2) can anyone provide any help with setting session variables and including them to be passed? I'm a newbie and have grabbed some code where I can but this is where i'm stuck. thanks in advance. ' />'; } else echo 'NO IMAGE'; } ?> To see it in action, here is the link to the 'skill games' section of the pagination script: http://netroxy.com/games2.php?cat=skills Ok here is the issue 1. As you can see, all the results displayed in the pagination script is correct, but what confuses me is the extra blank images that continue on in the table of the pagination table. I tried replacing the queries to see if the extra blank images would be removed like this: Code: [Select] $query = "select fldID, fldTitle, fldCategory, fldIconMedium, fldLink from tablename where fldCategory = '$category' and length(fldIconMedium) > 0 order by fldCategory"; } else { $query = "select fldID, fldTitle, fldCategory, fldIconMedium, fldLink where length(fldIconMedium) > 0 from tablename order by fldCategory"; So you see, I used 'length(fldIconMedium) > 0' making images less than 0 to see if the rest of the blank images would disappear from the cells in the table. This has not worked. Hence 'fldIconMedium' is the column for the images in the mysql database. Visit the link and you'll see the extra blank images through the results. This also applies when search for other game categories, blank images appear and I cant remove those extra blank images from the table. I am tying to make my category menus mysql based but all my sub categories end up under the last category. Here is my code. Code: [Select] <ul class="sf-menu"> <li><a href="http://www.mysite.com/index.php">Home</a></li> <?PHP do { ?> <li><a href="news.php?c=<?PHP echo $row_bodynav['id']; ?>"><?PHP echo $row_bodynav['catname']; ?></a> <?PHP if ($row_bodynav['slug'] == $row_bodynav_sub['parent']) {echo '<ul>'; do { ?><li><a href="news.php?c=<?PHP echo $row_bodynav['id'];?>&sc=<?PHP echo $row_bodynav_sub['id']; ?>"><?PHP echo $row_bodynav_sub['subcatname']; ?></a></li> <?PHP } while ($row_bodynav_sub = mysql_fetch_assoc($bodynav_sub)); echo '</ul>';} ?> </li> <?PHP } while ($row_bodynav = mysql_fetch_assoc($bodynav)); ?> </ul> Hello all, I've run into a problem with what seems to be a basic script. I want to display two different tables of data, side by side. Each table is built with a while loop, pulling data from an MySQL query. When I try to wrap the first table in a div the result is a div that appears empty when there is really a table with 60 rows of data I expect it to wrap around. I can't get this to work, I've tried to insert the div tag in many places to no avail. Also, I wanted to add some blank space at the bottom of the page so that there was room between the end of the table and the actual bottom of the page. I tried adding some <br />'s at the end of the code but that didn't work. I guess I'm confused because the code is acting as if the 60 rows of table data isn't there. When I tried to add my page layout around the script (as includes at the top and bottom of the script) the layout acts as if the table isn't there, either. That is to say that my "header" and "footer" appear bunched up at the top of the page as if there wasn't content on the screen. Hopefully someone can help! Thanks. Code: [Select] <?php echo "<br /> <a href='index.php'> Back Home </a> <br /> <br />"; // -------------------------- Connect to DB include ('connect_script.php'); // ------------------------------ Color variable for alternating table colors $color = 1; // ------------------------- Query Parameters $select = "SELECT (number) AS id, (first_name) AS fn, (last_name) AS ln, (position) AS position FROM table WHERE position = 'X' "; $get = @mysqli_query ($dbc, $select); // ------------------------- Run Query if ($get) { // ------------------------Start table echo " <div style='border-style: solid;'> <table align='left' border='1'> <tr> <td>People</td> </tr> <tr> <td>ID</td><td>First Name</td><td>Last Name</td><td>Position</td> </tr>"; // ------------------------ Retrieve People while ($row = mysqli_fetch_array($get, MYSQLI_ASSOC)) if ($color==1) {echo ' <tr bgcolor= #47EA7D> <td>' . $row['id'] . It worked a few minutes ago before I add "Packages" & "Safety & Technology" titles to the MySQL database. Hopefully the attached image has worked, but if it hasn't go to www.bikescarsandvans.co.uk/test.php and select the first Audi A3 additional extras drop down menu and you'll see whats going wrong. Code: [Select] $query_title = "SELECT * FROM extras JOIN car_to_extra ON (car_to_extra.extras_id = extras.id) WHERE car_to_extra.car_id = '{$car_row['id']}' ORDER BY extras.price ASC"; $title_results = mysql_query($query_title) or die ("Error in query: $query_title. I have tried to make my own image upload script which checks if the image is bigger the 500px in height. If it is shrinks the image down then uploads it an saves it to a database. I got the upload an save to database working fine. Once I added the check size bits it just fails with no error. Does anybody know of any simple scripts or tuts out there that do this as Im fed up of banging my head against the wall. Ive tried to find one myself but they dont exist it would seem!! heres my code anyway just incase its fixable.. I get no error an no redirect, I dont think its even making it to the move upload file as its not appearing on my server <?php if(isset($_POST['submit'])){ $fileName9 = trim($_FILES['imagefile']['name']); $tmpName = $_FILES['imagefile']['tmp_name']; $fileType = $_FILES['imagefile']['type']; //re name the image $randName = md5(rand() * time()); $fileName = $randName.$fileName9; //where to save the image $folder = "{$_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']}/members/images/{$members['county']}/"; //check types $types = array('image/jpeg', 'image/gif', 'image/png', 'image/JPG', 'image/pjpeg', 'image/x-png'); if (in_array($fileType, $types)) { //get original width and height $size = @GetImageSize($fileName); $width = $size[0]; $height = $size[1]; // auto adjust width of image according to predetermined height $new_height = 500; $new_width = $width * ($new_height/$height); // Resample image $image_resized = imagecreatetruecolor($new_width, $new_height); imagecopyresampled($image_resized, $fileName, 0, 0, 0, 0, $new_width, $new_height, $width, $height); // New image $image = $image_resized; } // Your file handing script here if(move_uploaded_file($tmpName , $folder.$image)) { $qInsert = mysql_query("UPDATE `members` SET profilePic = '$image' WHERE userID = '".$members['userID']."'") or die (mysql_error()); } if ($qInsert){ $url = "/members/clubs/image.php?pic=$image"; header("Location: $url"); } } ?> <form action="" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" name="photo" id="photo"> <input name="imagefile" type="file"> <input name="submit" type="submit" id="submit"> </form> Hello guys, I'm trying to figure out how to display and image that is located in one table (profile) and make it correspond to a variable on another table (latest_post) to where you echo out the variable from the table(latest_post) and the image from table(profile) appears next to the post. any how here is my code: Code: [Select] <?php $query = mysql_fetch_array(mysql_query("SELECT person FROM latest_post AND avatar_img FROM profile WHERE id FROM latest_post = id FROM profile ")); echo $query['avatar_img']; ?> Also when echoing out the query I only get the name of the image and not the image this is most likely because my image is stored in a different folder right? Thanks in advance, your help is much appreciated since I'm barely a beginner at php and MySQL. I am using CKeditor 3.2. Everything is going fine except image uploader, flash uploader and table... These content are not working.. my site is in PHP.. I have searched too much to solution on Google not found a right answer... infact, there are many results talking about filemanager folder which i was not able to find on downloaded zip. One more thing; when i am uploading images through default uploader and send it to database everything is fine, but when i am retrieving that image on some page; the image is not displaying, /"/" kind of code displaying instead of the images.... What to do to resolve this issue..... Kindly help me its very needed... Thanks in advance.... Hello I am having problems uploading an image through a HTML form. I want the image to be uploaded to the server and the image name to be written to the mysql database. Below is the code I am using: Code: [Select] <?php if (isset($_POST['add'])){ echo "<br /> add value is true"; $name = $_POST['name']; $description = $_POST['description']; $price = $_POST['price']; $category_id = $_POST['category_name']; $image = $_FILES['image']['name']; //file path of the image upload $filepath = "../images/"; //mew name for the image upload $newimagename = $name; //new width for the image $newwidth = 100; //new height for the image $newheight = 100; include('../includes/image-upload.php'); mysql_query("INSERT INTO item (item_name, item_description, item_price, item_image) VALUES ('$name','$description','$price','$image')"); ?> Here is the image-upload.php file code: Code: [Select] <?php //assigns the file to the image $image =$_FILES["image"]["name"]; $uploadedfile =$_FILES["image"]["tmp_name"]; if ($image) { //retrieves the extension type from image upload $extension = getextension($image); //converts extension to lowercase $extension = strtolower($extension); //create image from uploaded file type if($extension=="jpg" || $extension=="jpeg") { $uploadedfile = $_FILES['image']['tmp_name']; $src = imagecreatefromjpeg($uploadedfile); }else if($extension=="png") { $uploadedfile = $_FILES['image']['tmp_name']; $src = imagecreatefrompng($uploadedfile); }else{ $src = imagecreatefromgif($uploadedfile); } //creates a list of the width and height of the image list($width,$height)=getimagesize($uploadedfile); //adds color to the image $tmp = imagecreatetruecolor($newwidth,$newheight); //create image imagecopyresampled($tmp,$src,0,0,0,0,$newwidth,$newheight,$width,$height); //set file name $filename = $filepath.$newimagename.".".$extension; $imagename = $newimagename.".".$extension; //uploads new file with name to the chosen directory imagejpeg($tmp,$filename,100); //empty variables imagedestroy($src); imagedestroy($tmp); } ?> Any help would be appreciated, fairly new to all this!
