PHP - Rss Mix Multiple Feeds

I'm using the following code to grab an RSS feed and parse it into an array:

}My problem is that there is one tag I'd like to access, but don't quite know how...

It is: <content:encoded>

I've looked at

'content' => $node->getElementsByTagName('content:encoded')->item(1)->nodeValue

and

'content' => $node->getElementsByTagName('content')->item(1)->nodeValue

But neither work.

Any ideas?

If one inserts acute letters, grave letters, ampersands and accented letters in xhtml they show perfectly on the page.
However if one uses insert or rss feed they show as � or a square.

How does one make them show correctly.

Hello everyone,

I am having problem trying to fetch data from certain feeds.  The problem is, the feeds aren't just using XML or just atom, it is a combo of both.

Here is an example of YouTube's feed:

I'm currently creating an online campaign whereby customers use QR codes to link to a created website with interesting youtube video on.

At the moment I've just created a simple link to the chosen content

However I've come across Youtube API Standard feeds on the Youtube Reference Guide. http://code.google.com/apis/youtube/2.0/reference.html

It states you can 'send a GET request to the URL associated with that feed', however, I've never really touched php before. Could anyone give me advise on how I would link say the Top rated feed to my site using https://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/standardfeeds/top_rated Would that be difficult?

I have a full-text RSS component for Joomla that I was trying to modify. I wanted to be able to truncate the article to a given number of words and place a link at the end for the rest of the article. I need help figuring out how to add a link to the end of the source article.

Added this script to the post.php file. It sort of works but the "$ending" tag doesn't seem to function since there is no "..." appended to the end of articles posted, when I tested it.

Hi   I'm looking for some advice on how to parse an xml feed and display any odds on my site   Here is an example http://feed.youwincd...in_football.xml   and as you can see it is quite large so calling it every time would have an impact on the server.   I am looking at using many different feeds in the future so want to start this properly and in a scaleable way. I want to do a form for entering dog-show results. On first site of form the user is able to enter how many dogs for each class (there are youth and open class for example) he want to insert. So on second site there will be formfields for every dog in every class, created with php. User should be able to take dogname from jquery autocomplete - this works for multiple fields. But i need the according id to the dogname - and actual only one id is given - the first one is changing by choosing from autocomplete in next fields...

I changed in script and form id='dogidindatabase' to class, but it doesn´t work.   Testsite is under http://www.wolfdog-d...how.php?lang=de (only german at first) - Insert a number (higher than 1) under baby 3-6 (first box, the others are not working for testing); submit to get to page 2; you see all post-variables (for testing). Try to insert a dogname in first input-field (choose "exc") and insert first one - the id is under dogname. In second dogname inputfield you can choose second dog - the id for the first one changes to id of seond one ....   How can i get both for every dog?

Ok I'm trying to insert multiple rows by using a while loop but having problems. At the same time, need to open a new mysql connection while running the insert query, close it then open the previous mysql connection.

I managed to insert multiple queries before using a loop, but for this time, the loop does not work? 
I think it is because I am opening another connection... yh that would make sense actually?

   I am trying to learn OOP in PHP so please forgive my ignorance. I seem to be having difficulty inserting data into my database from checkbox items. My database has a column for each each fruit. I would like for each column to be populated with either a one(1) for checked or a zero(0)  for not checked. Currently, my attempts have failed. I can either get all checkboxes to insert all zeros or I can get the first column to insert a one(1) while the others as zeros. Is there anybody here that can help me figure out what I am doing wrong and help me to re-work my code so I can get this to work? If anybody can help me using OOP methods that would be fantastic. Thank you all in advance.

This seems to be a bit of a challenge but I am creating a multiple page form and on one of the pages I have a select field. I would like the user to have the ability to select multiple options but I am using some functions to move the data in hidden fields from page to page. I don't think my functions are jiving with my my foreach loop cause I keep getting an invalid argument error.

This just outputs all the fields I post at the moment. Say I have 3 different disk types, it's going to loop 3 times. Is it possible to make this all into 1 giant query or am I better off doing each query separately? Each section is a different table.
