PHP - Facebook Like Button Checking If Someone Has Liked Certain Page

Can somebody please explain how to properly add a Facebook Share button to my site?   It's not simply a matter of generating the button and pasting the code into my pages; in order to ensure that the right information is shared, I also have to add Open Graph metatags.   But the thing that's confusing me is that one of the required Open Graph metatags is this:

<meta property="fb:app_id" content="APP_ID_NUMBER" />

Questions   1) Does this mean that I have to register as an app builder before I can add the Share button? If so, why doesn't Facebook say so on the Share button page?   2) When generating the Share button, I am asked for the "URL to share". Does this mean that I have to generate a different Share button for each page? Surely not.   3) I use ShareThis at the moment. Does ShareThis work with Facebook Insights?

I was wondering if it is possible to like a page on facebook through a checkbox, instead of using the FB like function/script. In other words; people fill out a form and can check the box if they like the page, such as:

Can someoneplease help, I need to setup an error page like IF Username and Password are wrong then show an error also if there is no username or password in the fields and I just click LOGIN, I get a blank page?!

Im new to website building. I have created a login system.

The login system echoes some text when the username and password is correct. However, if correct i would like it to open another page on my site.

i have a form with two buttons, one is for submitting the form while button is for generating a random a code and placing it in a textfield. this works fine but the problem is anytime i click on the generate button, it refreshes the page thereby validating the form , which i don't want. How do i make it perform the function without refreshing the page....

I have two pages. one is insert_events.php and the other is veiw_events.
In insert_events i have a form which have a submit button.
I want when i click on the submit button, it redirects me to the view_events.php page showing the events.

Any idea about this problem will be appreciated.
