Code: [Select] <?php $options = array( '1'=> array('fieldtext'=>'option1', 'mysqlfield'=>'option1'), '2'=> array('fieldtext'=>'option2', 'mysqlfield'=>'option2'), '3'=> array('fieldtext'=>'option3', 'mysqlfield'=>'option3'), '4'=> array('fieldtext'=>'option4', 'mysqlfield'=>'option4'), ); // $options = array(1 => "option1", "option2", "option3", "option4"); // the line above works but i want to include the name of the mysql field as well. $userid = 1; ?> <div style="align: center; margin: 12px; font-family:Tahoma;"> <br><br><?php if ($_POST['Update'] != "Update") { // check if form submitted yet, if not get data from mysql. $res = db_query("SELECT * FROM `users` WHERE `userid` = '" . $userid . I basically have a database record that outputs to screen and I need the code in the <code> tags to be rendered to the screen. I therefore need it to go through the whole array variable from the db and change the symbols just inside the code tags. Please be aware that the code tags might happen more than once here's an example below Code: [Select] <p>blah blah blah</p> <p>blah blah blah</p> <p>blah blah blah</p> <code> <h1>hello</h1> </code> <p>blah blah blah</p> <p>blah blah blah</p> <p>blah blah blah</p> <code> <h1>hello</h1> </code> the desired output would be: <p>blah blah blah</p> <p>blah blah blah</p> <p>blah blah blah</p> <code> <h1>hello</h1 </code> <p>blah blah blah</p> <p>blah blah blah</p> <p>blah blah blah</p> <code> <h1>hello</h1 </code> help on this would be great Cheers Rob Hi guys I am a newbie with PHP and I have been trying to solve this problem for 3 days.. This topic has been moved to Linux. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=318175.0 I am having problems being able to find the data that needs to be posted in various translation websites. I think this is because the translation tools they have are using some kind of flash script to translate? So the new page isn't being loaded using the post data string?? I am not completely sure, anyways... I am using live http headers on firefox to try and get the content for the post data string. The sites I have tried to get the post data from are these: http://www.freetranslation.com/ http://www.free-translator.com/ I can get cURL to visit the page and do everything, I just cant find the post data string. or maybe I am way off here.. Thanks for any help Hi People. I run the following airfield site http://www.microlight.co Now on each airfield card there is a google iframe image that is held in the database and shows OK on the page. Anyone got any idea how I can get a hold of the co-ordinate information for each card so that I can display it somewhere else on screen? Here is a typical image of the airfield I use. Code: [Select] <iframe width="700" height="700" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://www.google.co.uk/maps?ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=53.952058,-1.17631&spn=0.008839,0.014999&z=16&output=embed"></iframe><br /><small><a href="http://www.google.co.uk/maps?ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=53.952058,-1.17631&spn=0.008839,0.014999&z=16&source=embed" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">View Larger Map</a></small> Hi, i need to run this past you guy's. I need a way to effectivly check if a user has entered correct "real" details in my registeration form and check if email is already in my database to prevent the user from registering twice? I need this as some unknown person is using the form and entering there details like this: Username: 1 Password: 1 email: 1 It's really annoying as they are doing this several times so i have around 13 rows of just "1" in my table now! grr!! so far ive got: Form: <input name="upassword" type="password" class="style7" id="upassword"> <span class="style7">Email</span> <span class="style7">:</span> <input name="email" type="text" class="style7" id="email"> <span class="style7"></span> <span class="style7"></span> <input name="Submit" type="submit" class="style7" value="Register" /> </form> Script: Code: [Select] <?php if ($db_found) { $SQL = "INSERT INTO users (username, upassword, email) VALUES ('" .$username. "', '" .$upassword. "', '" .$email. "')"; $result = mysql_query($SQL); header( 'Location: http://www.removalspace.com/index.php' ); exit(); } else { print "Database NOT Found "; mysql_close($db_handle); } ?> But i need it to perform the checks aswell as drop the "real" data in to MySQL? Any ideas please? I have a registration form on my website and after Registration I want the user to activate first his account. I don't have problem on sending this email to the user. What I want to appear is like this.. GoodDay "username", Blah Blah! how can you actually do that? I know that you can do that through session variables but the thing is email's can't accept scripts on sending emails. how can I get the value from a session variable for example and convert it to plain html text so that i can OUTPUT it to the email.. HELP PLEASE! Hi, I currently have an if, elseif, else program that starts off with Code: [Select] if( $v_name == "" || $v_msg == "" ) echo "something" how do I turn this into a switch? but the very next elseif I have Code: [Select] elseif( strcspn( $_REQUEST['msg'], '0123456789' ) == strlen( $_REQUEST['msg'] ) ) echo "something" is it possible to turn this into a switch with 2 different strings like that to evaluate? Hello, I am trying to populate the value="" of my form with the data from the mysql database so users can see what is already completed, trial and error have failed me. what am i doing wrong? <?php session_start(); include 'english.php'; if (!isset($_SESSION['user'])) die("<br /><br />You need to login to view this page"); $user = $_SESSION['user']; echo "<h3>Edit your Profile Search</h3>"; //opend database $connect = mysql_connect("$dbhost","$dbuser","$dbpass"); mysql_select_db("$dbname"); //select database // Get all the data from the "housing" table $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM users WHERE user='$user'") or die(mysql_error()); // keeps getting the next row until there are no more to get while($row = mysql_fetch_array( $result )) // Print out the contents of each row into a table ?> <form action="/includes/insert_profile.php" method="post"> <table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="3"> </td></tr> <tr><td>First Name:</td><td><input type="text" name="first" value="$first"> <tr><td>Middle Name:</td><td><input type="text" name="middle" value="$middle"> <tr><td>Last Name:</td><td><input type="text" name="last" value="$last"> <tr><td>Email:</td><td><input type="text" name="email" value="$email"> </td></tr> <tr><td>Date of Birth:</td><td> <select id="day" name="day" class="short"> <option value="1" selected="selected">1</option> <option value="2">2</option> <option value="3">3</option> </select> <select id="month" name="month" class="medium"> <option value="January" selected="selected">January</option> <option value="February">February</option> </select> <select id="year" name="year" class="medium"> <option value="2010" selected="selected">2010</option> <option value="2009">2009</option> <option value="2008">2008</option> </td></tr> <tr><td> <input type="Submit" value="Save"/> </td></tr> </table> </form> When I Google the above string I find a lot of advice about using SFTP, turning on blocking, upgrading libraries and such, however, the code that does this seems to work during some operations and not work during others, so I don't think it's a matter of a buggy library. If I could find out why it cannot create the remote file, that might do a world of good. But I've been through all of /var/log and some log messages acknowledge the ssh session, but don't give any clues as to what goes wrong. I've looked at the user, password, host name and port name in and around the ssh2_connect() call. They are all good. I've also checked the permissions and ownership on the destination directory. They aren't the problem either. I've also tried duplicating the call w/a command-line scp call, and that test passes also. So now find myself staring at this "failure creating remote file" message, wondering what the failure is, and I'm running out of ideas. I'm running RHEL AS release 4. I run a dev site locally on Windows and the real site on a hosting provider on LINUX. PHP5, XAMP, etc. Locally my fopen works. On the web server it throws an error: "Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: Unable to access" filepath/name The file exists on both servers; upper/lower case is correct; so are access rights. I noticed the error only today; this was working for the last 7 months; the function serves a range of content-types; just tested XLS and it works. Now I am stuck This line throws the error: $handle = fopen($strPathFileName, 'rb'); $strPathFileName uses / only Any pointers appreciated... thanks. I am creating a series of PHP scripts that allow for someone to append extra information to an Accident Claim Report. One of these scripts lists the files in a directory called the RCM directory. For the purpose of this, there is only one file in the list named "denman2.txt" and a hyperlink is attached to it so that the updated Accident Claim Report can be displayed. However, I would like it so that a style sheet could be applied to the "denman2.txt" text file, and I was wondering how it would be possible for the "denman2.txt" file to be opened in a format such as an HTML format so that a style sheet can be applied to it. Here is my Append Code: Code: [Select] <html> <head><title>Amend File</title></head> <?php if($_POST['append'] !=null) { $filename="C:/xampp/htdocs/rcm/denman2.txt"; $file=fopen($filename, "a"); $msg="Updated Information: " .$_POST['append']. "<br>"; fputs ($file, $msg); fclose($file); } ?> <body> <h1>Do you want to append to a document?</h1> Enter Updated Information: <form action="amendfile2.php" method="post"> <input type="text" size="40" name="append"><br><br> <input type="submit" value="Add updated information to report"> </form> <form action="viewfile3.php" method="post"> <input type="submit" value="View Web Blog"> </form> </body></html> My View File Code: Code: [Select] <html><head> <title>RCM File List</title></head> <body> <h1>Files in RCM Directory</h1> <?php $dir="C:/xampp/htdocs/rcm/*txt"; foreach(glob($dir) as $file) { $list = "<li><a href='readfile2.php'>Filename: $file</a></li>"; } ?> <ul> <?php echo $list; ?> </ul> </body> </html> And my Read File Code: Code: [Select] <html><head><title>Reading Accident Reports</title></head> <body> <?php function myErrorHandler($errno, $errstr) { echo "<b>Error: </b> [$errno] $errstr"; echo "<br>"; echo "End scripting"; die(); } set_error_handler("myErrorHandler"); $filename="C:/xampp/htdocs/rcm/denman2.txt"; $file = fopen($filename, "r"); while (!feof($file)) { $line=fgets($file,1024); echo "$line<br>"; } fclose($file); ?> </body> </html> Any help is appreciated Hi all, I'm iterating 4 images out in a loop. All 4 images exist (definitely), and using an earlier script, have been resized to a width of 200px, so they are not large. I'm finding that if I use the following code: Code: [Select] $image_info = getimagesize($filename); $type = $image_info['mime']; echo $type; .. some of the images come up with no mime type. Is this normal? As a (possible) result of / link to having no mime type assigned to it, I'm getting: [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory .. but I am positive the image exists. Viewing the image info in a browser gives "image/jpeg", so I'm a bit weirded out as to how the script queries the image for a mime type, and it returns nothing. Has anybody else seen this, can anyone help? All the best, WoolyG Hi. I have a page that allows users to upload some files, using <input type="file">... What I would like is to be able to upload the file "onchange" of this input field using ajax so that (1) users can upload their second file while their first one is uploading, and (2) so that they can see their file on the page as soon as it's done uploading. But I can't seem to find a way to populate the $_FIlLES array without actually submitting the form. I've seen some stuff online where people use iframes to do this kind of thing, but I was hoping there was another way to do it. Any help would be great. |
