PHP - Form Post Authentication Not Working From Firefox, Suggestions Please
Hey guys!
I have a site in flash that talks to a PHP file... the flash site has some forms and those variables are sent to php. I am having some trouble with this security code I implemented on php: // Host name from where the form is authorized // to be posted from: $authHosts = array("mysite.com"); // Where have we been posted from? $fromArray = parse_url(strtolower($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'])); // Test to see if the $fromArray used www to get here. $wwwUsed = strpos($fromArray['host'], "www."); // Make sure the form was posted from an approved host name. if(!in_array(($wwwUsed === false ? $fromArray['host'] : substr(stristr($fromArray['host'], '.'), 1)), $authHosts)){ //logBadRequest(); header("HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden"); exit; } On IE and Google Chrome the site works fine! but on FireFox Flash pops up an error message telling me that the php file has a sequence error. Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks in advance! Cheers. Hello All, I am building a web based data entry project for my University Recycling Department 1) In the first level the user will enter the number of "rows" that he has to enter it can be any number form 4- 10 . I'm wanting a feedback form on my website where the form is sent via SMTP rather than sendmail. I have checked that php is working by doing this code: Code: [Select] <?php error_reporting(E_ALL); ini_set('display_errors', True); $path = '/home/****/php'; set_include_path(get_include_path() . PATH_SEPARATOR . $path); echo("<p>Sending PEAR Mail.php...</p>"); require('Mail.php'); $from = "Info <info@***.co.uk>"; $to = "Info <info@***.co.uk>"; $subject = "Hi - Test message!"; $body = "Hi,\n\nHow are you?"; $host = "mail.***.co.uk"; $username = "info@***.co.uk"; $password = "***"; $headers = array ('From' => $from, 'To' => $to, 'Subject' => $subject); $smtp = Mail::factory('smtp', array ('host' => $host, 'auth' => true, 'username' => $username, 'password' => $password)); $mail = $smtp->send($to, $headers, $body); if (PEAR::isError($mail)) { echo("<p>" . $mail->getMessage() . "</p>"); } else { echo("<p>Message successfully sent!</p>"); } ?> This works fine. I then created a form in my contact page: Code: [Select] <form name="feedbackform" action="form-mailer2.php" method="post"> <input type="hidden" name="Required" value="Name,Comments"> <p>Name: <input name="Name" size="30"> <span class="formsmall">required</span></p> <p>E-mail: <input name="Email" size="30"> <span class="formsmall">optional</span></p> <p>Feedback/Comments:</p> <p><textarea name="Comments" rows="5" cols="40"></textarea></p> <p><input type="submit" value="Submit" name="submitform"><input type="reset" value="Reset" name="reset"></p> </form> I then used the code based on the php initial example and the code file that would get the form details from the contact page and send to the email address via smtp. I have left the validations in - although if these are no good please feel free to tell me! I will want to put a captcha in but need to look into that yet. Anyway, the code I have created is now this (which is saved in the file form-mailer2.php): Code: [Select] <?php error_reporting(E_ALL); ini_set('display_errors', True); $path = '/home/****/php'; set_include_path(get_include_path() . PATH_SEPARATOR . $path); echo("<p>Sending PEAR Mail.php...</p>"); require('Mail.php'); $mailfrom = "info@***.co.uk"; $mailTo = "info@***.co.uk"; $mailSubject = "Web Feedback"; $mailHost = "mail.***.co.uk"; $mailPort = "25"; $mailAuth = "true"; $mailPassword = "****"; // Get the form fields. $name = $_POST['Name']; $email = $_POST['Email']; $comments = $_POST['Comments']; $reqFields = $_POST['Required']; // I find including the time/date useful for record-keeping. // Note that it is the web server's time/date, not yours // or the sender's. $date = date("l jS F Y, g:i A"); // A simple yet reasonably effective email address validator. if ((!ereg(".+\@.+\..+", $email)) || (!ereg("^[a-zA-Z0-9_@.-]+$", $email))) { $errorMessages .= "<li>Invalid email address: $email</li>"; } // Make sure required fields are filled in. $checkFields = explode(",",$reqFields); while(list($theField) = each($checkFields)) { if(!$$checkFields[$theField]) { $errorMessages .= "<li>Missing $checkFields[$theField]</li>"; } } // If there are errors, display them and a back button. if($errorMessages) { ?> <p>Errors were found on the form.</p> <ul> <?php echo $errorMessages; ?> </ul> <p><input type="button" value="Back" onClick="history.back()"></p> <?php } // No errors, send the message and print out success message. else { // Build the email. $body = " Name: $Name Email: $Email Phone: $Phone ----- Comments ----- $Comments -------------------- $headers["From"] = $mailTo; $headers["To"] = $mailTo; $headers["Subject"] = $mailSubject; $params["host"] = $mailHost; $params["port"] = $mailPort; $params["auth"] = $mailAuth; $params["username"] = $mailTo; $params["password"] = $mailPassword; $headers = array ('From' => $from, 'To' => $to, 'Subject' => $subject); $smtp = Mail::factory('smtp', array ('host' => $host, 'auth' => true, 'username' => $username, 'password' => $password)); $mail = $smtp->send($mailTo, $headers, $body); if (PEAR::isError($mail)) { echo("<p>" . $mail->getMessage() . "</p>"); } else { echo("<p>Message successfully sent!</p>"); } // I would rather redirect to a different thank you page but both of next options don't work when taking out: echo("<p>Message successfully sent!</p>"); //RedirectToURL("thank-you.php"); or header(Location: "thank-you.php" ); ?> Depending on what I change about I either get: The website cannot display the page or a list of undefinable variables. If anyone is able to understand the php and notice where the problem lies I would be so grateful. Thank you. Hey Guys. I am working with a form that shows the grand total on the checkout page. The value of the grand total is inside a hidden field. When click on submit, the _POST array doesn't get back the last value of the grand total. I need to hit the button twice to get the last value. The weird thing is when I echo the value of the grand total it display the latest value, but not with the POST array
For example. If the grand total is $10.00 and I click on submit. It will show the POST['grand_total'] as empty. If I click on submit again it will show the grand total of $10.00.
Below is my code that I am working with. Any help would be really appreciated.

Users make entries into a form on my site which are then sent to a remote server which generates a variable length page of results for the users perusal. I want the results to be displayed on my site but I discover that iframe height is a problem so I am trying PHP in a separate file to avoid an iframe. Then maybe I can cache the result pages and display them without any height difficulties and not having to fiddle with javascript. The first PHP code I try is prevented from working and I discover that the apparent cause is the issue of fopen and fsockopen etc. being set to off by the host that I use because of security concerns: $url="http://remote_server.cgi"; foreach($_POST as $key => $value) {$url .="$key=" . urlencode($value) . "&";} $array = file($url);] The host has cURL so I try that but the form entries are not being accepted as they are with a direct post from the form: $URL="http://remote_server.cgi"; $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $URL); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $_POST); curl_exec ($ch); curl_close ($ch); In case useragent is a problem at the remote server, I added: curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_USERAGENT,'Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13'); I know all entries are received by the separate file by using: print_r($_POST); But the remote server still says "Error in form found. You are not authorized etc. etc... " Apparently the post data is not being sent like the form sends it. Any suggestions? Ive tried everything and cannot get this POST to work, page comes up blank. Can anyone help me? PHP script: <?php echo 'Hello ' . htmlspecialchars($_POST["name"]) . I'm sure this is just a simple error but I can't figure out what's wrong. Thanks, Chris Hi all, not sure if this belongs in the Javascript section or PHP... I have a 3 pages, Index.php, a Javascript file and my display.php page. My Index page has a list of inputs which populate the variables in my javascript file when exectued, the javascript file then uses these variables to perform simple mathematical calculations and then displays the data using the innerHTML function back on my index page. From the index page I need to then post all my values, including these in the innerHTML div's as a POST array to my display.php only im unsure where to start. Hopefully thaat makes sense, would anybody have any idea on how to do this? Thanks In my invoice system im trying to carry information from 1 page to another, witch i have been successful with, now I am trying to alter table rows on my data tables I need to send the same account number and invoice number, how can i achieve this without putting the account number and invoice number inside a form element? Ok so I've got trouble with a form I'm creating, I've got this: <form id="login" name="login" action="URL" method="post"> and then Input fields like: <input tabindex="3" type="text" class="login-field" name="acc.username" id="login-username" value="" maxlength="48"/> Now, if I go and submit that, and on the "URL" page I've had it echo $_POST['acc.username'] but it doesn't echo anything. I think it may be a problem with the form itself.. although I can't see one. The code I got for URL: <?PHP include('global.php'); if(isset($_POST['acc.username'])) { echo "lol"; } else { echo mysql_error(); } ?> How can i make a send POST FORM from this api: http://pub.tapulous.com/tapplications/coresocial/v1/chat/api/index.php?method=message_send&session={"device_id":+"03decef7aad6fb64fb5c5ed3f1d35a3d16413e490a2874",+"room":+"Songs%253AExtreme"}&message= message here Thanks people Ok so I already have a "post" action URL, here it is below. <form method="post" action="http://survey.leisuretrends.com/RemoteSurvey.asp?survey=321&survey_version=1330"> The idea is to put a simple e-mail form on my personal website: And have the post action to go to the URL above (its a marketing company for email submissions / newsletters) Here is what I have so far, but I know something is not right: Quote <form> <input type="text" /> <input type="submit" /> <form method="post" /> <form action="http://survey.leisuretrends.com/RemoteSurvey.asp?survey=321&survey_version=1330"/> </form> Any help would be greatly appreciated.
