PHP - Displaying Dynamic Content With Lightbox

Hi All,   Am hoping someone can point out my perhaps obvious issue here.   I've a series of links that are dynamically created:

When a link is clicked, I'm trying to get content to load into this DIV:

However, when you click the link, nothing happens. I know loop.php works as I can specify a value and manually browse to it to see the content.   I feel I'm missing something obvious as I'm new to AJAX.   Your help/patience is very much appreciated

Hi, I'm trying to make a dynamic html table to contain the mysql data that is generated via php. I'm trying to display a user's friends in a table of two columns and however many rows, but can't seem to figure out what is needed to make this work.

Here's my code as it stands:

The above simply outputs all records of a user's friends (their usernames) in alphabetical order. The question of how I'd generate a new row each time a certain amount of columns have been met, however, is beyond me. Anyone know of any helpful resources that may solve my problem? Working on a site with a couple hundred virtually identical landing pages to maximize SEO.

Rather than hard code the pages, I am wondering if there is a way to have one page that handles all the url's and dynamically codes and loads with title, keywords, content & alt tags all specific to the particular url requested.

Seems like the challenge is doing it in a way that does not constitute a redirect.

Is it better to do this in the .htaccess?

I have a simple question - is it possible to send out an html email containing PHP/MySQL code so that when the user receives the email it checks the date and serves up content from a database? I have created a page that works fine online, but when I try to email the page, it doesn't work from within the user's email client (such as outlook, or gmail).

When I look at the raw email source, it looks like the PHP code isn't getting executed by the email program. If anyone knows a reason or workaround, I would appreciate it!

I know that php does not recognize onMouseOver events. however, Im wondering if their is a tricky way to get a javascript response from dynamic text. I am working on a nav menu in a wordpress site. wordpress has a function that displays a list of pages created in the admin. Does anybody know a trick to get the dynamic text to be seen by the javascript? for example, if i put a &nbsp; inside the anchor tags before the php script starts, the onmouseover will register it, and display the secondary nav. I would place invisible divs with links on top of the dynamic text with z-index, but I want the text to be completely dynamic and the client to be able to add as many links as he/she wants.

it works fine but I want to integrate this with php which is where I am struggling.

I have a mySQL database with 4 fields (id;name;description;url), what i would like to do is name the div to be opened on click with the 'id' field from the database so that it would become '<div id="id"> and then more than one function could be implemented on each page. I would also like to replace '...text to be displayed here' with the field 'name' from the database and '...url' with the field 'url from the database.

Looking for some advice regarding displaying content from my databases on my members websites via an iframe. Here's what I want to do;

Members on my site are rated and reviewed, what I wanted to do was create a piece of code that they could embed on their website to show their reviews. My first instincts where to create an iframe and use the source to pass get variables to my server to identify the member and then use these in a query to select member reviews.

Here is the code;

Hi! I'm a total stupid newbie. Please humor me.
So, I'm trying to make a guestbook, just as practice. So far I have a form that writes entries to a file, each entry on a new line. Entries look like this:

My dividing character between parts of the entries is the vertical bar. I don't know if that's a bad idea. As I said, I'm a newb. I should probably find out how to make a code that makes it so people can't use that character in the form.
Anyway, this is my code so far trying to display the entries. So far, I just want to show the date of the first entry.

I already have a problem. The code does stop at the vertical bar, but instead of showing the date as "11:11 am, Oct 12th, 2010" it shows "11 m c 2h 00". I'm just super confused, and I don't know what to do.

I'm opening my website up to visitors for free, and trying to bypass a login screen to go straight into the data content that was appearing after a user logged in.  I have an index.php file that included the following code at the beginning:

I deleted the "include("login.php"); line, and was successful at bypassing the username and login screen.  However, the page that is supposed to display the data content is incomplete.  In fact, it only displays my company's logo.

Any ideas as to why the data content is not showing up?
