PHP - Multiple Fields In Form Php/html To Email... Fail

Hi Guys,

I am attempting to create a program for a local auction house.

I arrived at a stand still on a certain issue which is creating a sticky form. On the "enter auction details page" the user will be entering data as the auction is in session.

1. item Description
2. Item Price
3. Bidders Id
4. Qty

Of course it would be repetitive to require the user to keep entering the same data for every bidder, so I want to stick the obvious fields which are "item description" & "Item Price" as these don't change until a new item comes up for sale.

As of know I am processing the input on a separate page which records all input to the database with a redirect back to the  "enter auction details page". I have tried many times to get the item description and item price fields to stick. These would need to change as the user moves onto the next item in which the description and price would change as well.

okay so i have a slight problem. i have been testing my form with fake emails if i put something like CXZC@ff.ff in my email field i get an email with

From : CXZC@ff.ff.cheatordie.com

i do have a function called clean_string() that weeds out  the following


href|bcc|cc|to:|content-type

can i add to this to weed something like this out?

i already am using  filter_vars validate_email filter and regex ontop of this and it is still happening.

Hopefully someone can help me out with this.

I have a HTML form wich contains basic textfields en checkboxes.
Beyond that i have a row with some dropdowns, but one of these fields in the row is a file field.

Also, the visitor is able to add a new row, when the user clicks add row, a new row with the same fields including a new file field appears.
This can be done as much as the user likes. The fiel field is optional though, it doesn't need to be filled.

All my textfields, checkboxes and dropdowns are coming through email nicely.

Only thing that isn't coming my way are the files i attach.

For the file fields i take it you need an array wich i have put in the form

I have recently created a small snippet of php code for posting mail and it's sweet apart from 1 thing.

I have two email addresses in the recipient section. It only sends to the last name in the list.

Is this because i have written recipient? Should it be recipients?

I need this mail to be delivered to both of the email addresses.

I'm sure it's simple for someone with expert knowledge.

I want to do a form for entering dog-show results. On first site of form the user is able to enter how many dogs for each class (there are youth and open class for example) he want to insert. So on second site there will be formfields for every dog in every class, created with php. User should be able to take dogname from jquery autocomplete - this works for multiple fields. But i need the according id to the dogname - and actual only one id is given - the first one is changing by choosing from autocomplete in next fields...

I changed in script and form id='dogidindatabase' to class, but it doesn´t work.   Testsite is under http://www.wolfdog-d...how.php?lang=de (only german at first) - Insert a number (higher than 1) under baby 3-6 (first box, the others are not working for testing); submit to get to page 2; you see all post-variables (for testing). Try to insert a dogname in first input-field (choose "exc") and insert first one - the id is under dogname. In second dogname inputfield you can choose second dog - the id for the first one changes to id of seond one ....   How can i get both for every dog?

New here.

I have a basic email form that takes name phone email etc, also has 3 file upload boxes for photos.

I have taken most of the code from free examples off the net and patched it together.

It had an error message if something went wrong. I wanted to put an html page instead of just the txt. So read that I could end tag the php then do html then begin tag the php again. Problem is some of the error message was from a different part of the php code. How can i get this displayed on the html.

Hi I built a really simple customer review form https://kickasssoftwear.uk/dev/reviews.html (it's only been optimised for mobile view so far) and it works using the php mail script on this page https://kickasssoftwear.uk/dev/empty2.php - the emails are being sent to me and the format of the emails is OK, and the form redirects to the empty2 page with a mailsent message in the address bar.

I know I can leave that page as is and write a nice thank you message in the html - but what I really want to do is have the customers name there too, Thanks 'name' your review has been sent,

but I can't get it to work - it's been 4 whole days now and I really need to eat & sleep! Please if anyone has suggestions or advice for a noob, please help. Thanks

I am building a website that allows a client to email me documents (DocX, PDF, TXT,ZIP, etc) along with a simple HTML based form.

I used DreamWeaver to create the form and the upload area.  I figured out how to script the PHP code to send the text fields to my email address (and validate them), but I can't figure out how to get the attachments to send.

I am BRAND NEW to PHP and just trying to figure all thing out.  Any help would be appreciated. 

I have attached two .txt files to this post.  One is the HTML code for the forum and one is the actual PHP code I am using to send the form to my email.

I'm having a problem getting my contact form information  to arrive in the desired email account.

The email account itself if provided by my web host. It has the ability to send and receive emails.

The validation works perfectly eg when i type in incorrect/ miss out information it displays the appropriate error message.

When i put in the proper information it displays the "Thank you for contacting us. We will be in touch with you very soon" message but not email arrives in the specified email account.

Could someone please check over my code and see if there is something that I am missing?

I'd be very grateful for any help!

I am brand new at php coding so I am struggling to understand why my php code is not working in my website. I would like my html form to send me data to my email. LovableCodeMan here - newbie to this forum an pretty new to this PHP thing that all these youngsters are raving about - who knew?! 

Anyway, so I have an HTML form set up with a PHP document attached in order to send the data from the form to an email -a pretty basic setup by todays standards. 

In the PHP document, you can see that there is a section for the user (sender@xyz.com) to submit the information in the form to us & is sent to our email address "receiver@xyz.com". The bottom segment is to send a confirmation email back to the sender - to "sender@xyz.com" - as a thank you and a "We will get back to you ASAP" etc etc etc. 

The confirmation email sent to the sender@xyz.com works flawlessly when pressing the "Send Your Message" button, but then I just see "https://www.xyz.com/scripts/mail.php" in the address bar and no email is received by receiver@xyz.com - aka "Us".

I have an HTML form that I have a "select"  drop-down menu that is selecting the name of the person you should send to. The names are being pulled from the Database, and here is what that code for the drop-down in the form looks like:

This works perfectly. However, what I want it to do is send the form to the email address of the person that is selected in the drop-down. The email address' are already entered in each record of the database in a field called "Email". I am using the $value_for_select variable to pull the id of the record, but I am unsure how to then tell the form to send to the email address of that record? Anybody know a way that this can be done?

I need to take the values of the same index for eachof five arrays ($_POST['conference'], $_POST['confDate'], $_POST['confDesc'], etc...) and insert/update them into a mysql table.  So conference[0], confDate[0], confDesc[0], confPres[0], and confPresTitle[0]  all need to go into the same index of their respective fields in the DB table.

If it was one array I could just do something like:

I'm having trouble with how to add a value from each array into the sql table.  I could do it through a different foreach loop for each array and iterate through all foreach loops with another loop, but that doesn't seem very efficient.  I'd like to do it with one sql statement for each set of "conference" data.

The PHP code sends me an email from the server, but the user input is empty or "blank". I only receive: "From: \ Email: \ Subject: \ Message: " and that's it.

How do I fix my PHP and/or HTML code to receive user input from the form? Attached is my existing HTML and PHP code that doesn't send me any "user input" from the form.
