PHP - I'm Have Trouble Getting My Script To Show Images In A Table Across The Screen.
I'm have trouble getting my script to show images in a table across the screen. I want to show the picture and have the description shown below it. Right now it shows it in a column with the name next to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. Below is the script. <?php include 'config1.php'; // Connect to server and select database. mysql_connect($dbhost, $dbuser, $dbpass)or die("cannot connect"); mysql_select_db("vetman")or die("cannot select DB"); $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM $dbname WHERE year = '1954'") or die(mysql_error()); // store the record of the "" table into $row //$current = ''; // keeps getting the next row until there are no more to get if($result && mysql_num_rows($result) > 0) { $i = 0; $max_columns = 3; echo "<table>"; echo "<br>"; while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { // make the variables easy to deal with extract($row); // open row if counter is zero if($i == 0) echo "<tr>"; echo "<td align=center>"; ?> <div> <a><img src="<?php echo $tn; ?>"</a><a><?php echo $title; ?></a></div> <?php echo "</td>"; // increment counter - if counter = max columns, reset counter and close row if(++$i == $max_columns) { echo "</tr>"; $i=0; } // end if } // end while } // end if results // clean up table - makes your code valid! if($i > 0) { for($j=$i; $j<$max_columns;$j++) echo "<td> </td>"; echo '</tr>'; } mysql_close(); ?> </table> Similar TutorialsI can't get images to show up in my script. They show up as broken images and I can figure it out. I think it's a problem with (') or this (").
Any help would be appreciated.
$query = 'SELECT * FROM images'; $stmt = $dbh->prepare($query); $stmt->execute(); $counter = 0; $numberperrow = 3; while($row = $stmt->fetch()) { if($counter < $numberperrow) { echo '<img src='.$row['image_th'].' width=200>'; /**$counter = $counter + 1;**/ echo ' '; $counter = $counter + 1; }else{ echo '<br>'; $counter = '1'; echo '<img src='.$row['image_th'].' width=200>'; echo ' '; } } } catch(PDOException $e) { echo $e->getMessage(); } I'm having trouble echoing $year in my script. Listed below is the script, just below ,$result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM $dbname WHERE class LIKE '%$search%'") or die(mysql_error());, in the script I try to echo $year. It doesn't show up in the table on the webpage. Everything else works fine. Any help wold be appreciated greatly. Thanks in advance. <?php include 'config2.php'; $search=$_GET["search"]; // Connect to server and select database. mysql_connect($dbhost, $dbuser, $dbpass)or die("cannot connect"); mysql_select_db("vetman")or die("cannot select DB"); $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM $dbname WHERE class LIKE '%$search%'") or die(mysql_error()); // store the record of the "" table into $row //$current = ''; echo "<table align=center border=1>"; echo "<br>"; echo "<tr>"; echo "<td align=center>"; ?> <div style="float: center;"><a><h1><?php echo $year; ?></h1></a></div> <?php echo "</td>"; echo "</tr>"; echo "</table>"; // keeps getting the next row until there are no more to get if($result && mysql_num_rows($result) > 0) { $i = 0; $max_columns = 2; echo "<table align=center>"; echo "<br>"; while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { // make the variables easy to deal with extract($row); // open row if counter is zero if($i == 0) echo "<tr>"; echo "<td align=center>"; ?> <div style="float: left;"> <div><img src="<?php echo $image1; ?>"></div> </div> <?php echo "</td>"; // increment counter - if counter = max columns, reset counter and close row if(++$i == $max_columns) { echo "</tr>"; $i=0; } // end if } // end while } // end if results // clean up table - makes your code valid! if($i > 0) { for($j=$i; $j<$max_columns;$j++) echo "<td> </td>"; echo '</tr>'; } mysql_close(); ?> </table> Ok, first off CSS is definitely not my strong suit so bear with me here. This is my code:

A couple things are wrong: 1. Why aren't the images scaling so they are all the same size? I assigned the same CSS class to each of the images but they are all appearing differently. The original images are all the same size. 2. Why are my buttons in the far right corner? I want to have them centered below the images so as to prevent the horizontal scroll bar, which I hate. I have a form where people enter in values and I need these values displayed in the proper format. I need the output string to have a "<" at the beginning and a ">" at the end but whenever I put the code in to add the < in the beginning nothing shows up. Here is my code. I am able to get it to work with just adding the > at the end but it seems when I add "<" to the beginning this is where nothing shows up. Code: [Select] <?php $hairbald = trim($_POST['HairBald']); $eyes = trim($_POST['Eyes']); $test =$eyes.'.'.$hairbald; if(empty($test)) { $test = $test; } else $test = '<'.$test.'>'; ?> If the user selects blue eyes and bald head I need the output to be <blue.bald> I am trying to display two images per row. Will add in table tags later so it will look nicer. Anyway, it is leaving off the second image. So, I have 6 images and image number two is blank.

I believe it must be a setting in the Apache or PHP server. Anyone please, advice Thanks Hi all, I'm developing a website and i need to upload a xml spreadsheet and see data at screen just to verify if it is correct. So far so good. But after the user see the data in the screen, he should be able to import that file to mssql. The problem is, in this second page where i show the data that the XML spreadsheet contains, i don't have the file location to submit the file again. How can i resolve this problem? Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Regards Why is it that only certain images come through. I made sure all extensions were there but some jpegs come through others don't some pngs not others. Any thoughts? So far so good!
The issue comes to when I want to store and display images that link to themselves. The way I am storing images is exactly the same: There is a textarea where I insert an image via KCFinder/CKEditor. The image is uploaded to the server and the path stored at the database. Later I try to pick up that path from the database to display the image and because I want the image to link to itself, I try to use the same method to insert the url on the link. Problem? The link is missing and the images are not displaying.
Can anyone point me the error and suggest any solution? I would be so thankful! Need help in there. the comment text is sliding toggling but the second time I click on, meaning sometimes it won't toggle the first time I click on it. But the main issue now is getting the responses form displaying below and Ajaxing without browser refresh. Hi All, I am trying to develop an application that show's where PC's are located in an office. Basically, what I want to be able to do, is to overlay avatar-like images over a main floorplan layout, and place them in a position, depending on thier x/y co-ordinates, which would be retreived from a database. Is this possible using PHP at all? Thanks in advance Matt My website is being overrun with spam and I am trying to install a php captcha script. I have installed php 5 on my website askthephysicist.com which is hosted on a 1&1 Windows server, but I think the problem is that I do not know where to point my script to find the lib. I have very little fluency with any scripting languages. Anyhow, the beginning of the script reads: <?php require 'CaptchasDotNet.php'; // Required Parameters // Replace the values you receive upon registration at http://captchas.net. // // client: 'demo' // // secret: 'secret' // and when I run it I get the message: Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required 'CaptchasDotNet.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php5.5') in /homepages/29/d191906528/htdocs/askthephysicist/query.php on line 4 The whole code may be found at http://captchas.net/sample/php/ if that is helpful, but the error occurs with the first statement require 'CaptchasDotNet.php'; Hi, I'm very new to PHP. I've been working on this code for password recovery for a week and I'm pretty close, but I'm having problems understanding why I keep getting the: "Can not send password to your email address". I know for certain that it has found the email in the table, but why is it still having problems sending? There are no other error messages thrown. Code: [Select] function frm_lostpass() { global $skn,$In,$db,$Film,$Url,$Date,$module,$userinfo; if(isset($_GET['check']) and trim($_GET['check'])=='ok') { $email = $In->get('email',0,''); $sql_check ="SELECT Count(m.Email) AS numrows FROM tbl_member AS m\n" ."WHERE m.Email = '$email'\n"; $numrow=$db->sql_get_first($sql_check); if($numrow['numrows']!=1) { return "<center>Email not found !</center>"; } else { global $skn,$In,$db,$Film,$Url,$Date,$module,$userinfo; // value sent from form $email_to=$_POST['email_to']; // retrieve password from table where e-mail = $email_to $sql ="SELECT m.Password FROM tbl_member AS m\n" ."WHERE m.Email = '$email'\n"; $result=mysql_query($sql); // if found this e-mail address, row must be 1 row // keep value in variable name "$count" $count=mysql_num_rows($result); // compare if $count =1 row if($count==1){ $rows=mysql_fetch_array($result); // keep password in $your_password $your_password=$rows['password']; // ---------------- SEND MAIL FORM ---------------- // send e-mail to ... $to=$email_to; // Your subject $subject="Your password here"; // From $header="example@example.com"; // Your message $messages= "Your password for login to our website \r\n"; $messages.="Your password is $your_password \r\n"; $messages.="more message... \r\n"; // send email $sentmail = mail($to,$subject,$messages,$header); } // else if $count not equal 1 else { return "That email address is not found in our database"; } // if your email succesfully sent if($sentmail){ return "  Your Password Has Been Sent To Your Email Address."; } else { return "  Cannot send password to your e-mail address"; } } } else { $skn ->set_file( 'lost_pass', 'member/frm_lostpass.html' ); return $skn -> output('lost_pass'); } } I'm trying to write a PHP program that a user will use to register to my site. I have a temporary table temp for which the user's information will be stored until they verify their account using an email that is sent to them. Once they verify their account through email, the information stored in the temporary table will be moved to a table called 'users'. I then want to delete the temporary data that they had stored. Unfortunately I'm having trouble doing this. This snippet of code isn't exactly the entire code, but just a test I've been using since I realized that my real code wasn't working as far as deletion goes. Here is my test code. Code: [Select] <?php include('connect.php'); $sql2="SELECT username FROM temp WHERE username = 'justin'"; $result2=mysql_query($sql2); if($result2) echo ("Record found"."<BR>"); else echo ("Record not found"); $sql3="DELETE FROM temp WHERE username='justin'"; $result3=mysql_query($sql3); if($result3) echo ("SUCESSFUL DELETION"); else echo ("failed"); ?> In this code, I check the temp table to see if 'justin' can be found. This has consistently returned "Record found". On the other hand, my deletion command has not worked yet and will constantly fail. connect.php is correct as far as I know and has worked flawlessly for the other parts of this small project. Is something wrong here? What could be the problem? Hello, I'm having trouble inserting data into a MySQL table. The user has a form which is HEIGHT and WIDTH and NUMBER_OF_OBSERVATIONS. All these values are stored in the same table. NUMBER_OF_OBSERVATIONS does what it needs to and inserts its calculated results into the database, as does DATE_TIME. I've been trying for a couple of days to get this done, and I am having no luck in getting it sorted. Any help is greatly appreciated! Generator.php Code: [Select] $WIDTH = $_POST['WIDTH']; $HEIGHT = $_POST['HEIGHT']; $NUMBER_OF_OBSERVATIONS = $_POST['NUMBER_OF_OBSERVATIONS']; $db1 = new Number_Information(); $db1->openDB(); $OBSERVATION_ID = $db1->insert_Observation(); echo "<br /><br />Success. ID: <strong>$OBSERVATION_ID<strong>"; $db1->closeDB(); Number_Information.php Code: [Select] function insert_Observation() { //$Date_Now = datetime(); $sql = "INSERT INTO Observations (DATE_TIME, HEIGHT, WIDTH) VALUES (NOW(), '{$esc_HEIGHT}','{$esc_WIDTH}' )"; $result = mysql_query($sql, $this->conn); if (!$result) { die("SQL Insertion error: " . mysql_error()); } else { return mysql_insert_id($this->conn); } The table name is Observations Again - Any help is greatly appreciated!
