PHP - Php Page That Refuses To Show Text On Random Pages

Hi,

my page is currently up at brewhas.org/transactions.php.  When I retrieve a set of results > the defined # per page (such as entering 'WI' for last name), I see the first page correctly, and see the links to next pages, but when I go to the next page there are no results displayed.  Same for p.3, etc.

So I've looked around enough to know that I need to pass a variable to the subsequent pages, either via a session variable or the URL.  I have 2 fields input on the form, as well as a limit and offset.  My questions are 1) do I need to pass all 4 and if so then should I use a session variable so the URL does not get too long, and 2) can anyone provide any help with setting session variables and including them to be passed?

I'm a newbie and have grabbed some code where I can but this is where i'm stuck.  thanks in advance.

Quesion: Show each movie in the database on its own page, and give the user links in a "page 1, Page 2, Page 3" - type navigation system. Hint: Use LIMIT to control which movie is on which page. I have provided 3 files: 1st: configure DB, 2nd: insert data, 3rd: my code for the question. I would appreciate the help. I am a noob by the way.

I want to show a cookie of a referral's username on a sign up page. The link is like this, www.mysite.com/signup?ref=johnsmith.

The cookie doesn't show if I go to that url page. But it does show up once I reload the page.  So I'm wondering if it's possible to show the cookie the first time around, instead of reloading the page?

ok, I am hoping the code is self explanatory... but if not, I'm creating a script which I will be using for something else. Basically it says if OS and browser show code under...

I am looking for two things.

1. Is there a way to make it so that it can pull from a list and show that if HTTP_USER_AGENT comes back with a specific output, to say you are using X OS with Y browser?

2. The last bit, it is meant to say, if not any of the options show the info below.  For some reason it's not doing that... can someone please tell me why?

I am wanting to create a random fact script for a small website project.

The idea is when the user loads a page a random fact will appear at the top ( I guess from an array of strings I will make?)

Can anyone recommend the most efficient and easiest way to go about this please?

Not sure where to put this, so I figured this would be a good place to start.   First: I host a website for a client through iPage.com called Authentic Log Houses at authenticloghouses.com. This website uses a wordpress platform.   Anyway, on with the issue. My client called me one day and said a text ad showed up on his navigation menu of the website selling viagra! Immediately the worst case scenario went through my mind. I told him I'd check it out as soon as I could. I got home and checked his website using Chrome (my preferred browser) only to find it exactly as it should be (with no ad). I assumed at that point that he was probably the only one that could see the link and was probably just dealing with a virus or malware that was affecting his browser.   I told him he should run an antivirus or malware removal program and see if he still saw the ad. He did, but found nothing. He then called his brother and asked him to view his website to see if the ad appeared. It did. I checked again on my computer, still nothing. Finally I decided to try a different browser than Chrome and found that Firefox, IE, Safari, and Opera ALL show the ad!   I still don't know why every browser except Chrome shows the ad, but now that I could duplicate the issue, I eliminated the possibility of a virus or malware since multiple computers showed the same ad (which changes from time to time). I viewed the source code to see where it may have been coming from and it simply showed an anchor tag with a link to a random website in the main nav menu outside the un-ordered list that the website uses, however, I cannot find that link in the source files.   I spoke with iPage's technical support to see if they had any ideas and they said to update all my plugins and install the "Link Removal Tool" and enter the linked url. They said this tool has helped many people and works really well. Nothing worked for me. I even tried their "Pro" version (which is still free o_O) and it seemed to be nothing but spam, so now I don't trust them in the least.    The current text ad can be view on the website in green in the top navigation bar saying "Payday loans direct lender no teletrack" and links to a 404 at worldwiderssfeedcompendium.com.   I'm currently out of ideas!   I have a 125 X 156 jpeg image with some text underneath in the right column of my home page and the same image and text in the right column of 47 other pages. When I update the image and text in my home page I don't want to do the same 47 other times. So I have placed the image and text in a separate file. I am guessing I  have to insert preg_replace() function at the places where I want the updates to be made. My knowledge of PHP is not that great. So can anyone give me the exact function and parameters I have to use to replace the image and text. I would be very grateful.

This is a section of my code that goes and gets videos from any video site. What I’m having issues with is having it post a random title, that are all in a text file called titles.txt. What I’m wanting to accomplish is have my script go pull the video embed code, the duration, the tags, etc. Which all works fine until I get to the title part where it pulls locally from the server from the text file. Hello, I'm new here and need some help.
I'm a beginner with PHP

Here's what I have....

The index page looks like this:

On all of the pages for the site, the only thing that will change will be:  <? include("main.php"); ?>
When viewing the home page, the title in the browser shows:  Home Page (which is what I want).
However, when clicking on links in the nav bar, I want the title to reflect those page names.

For example, the code above displays the home page, but then if you click on (for example) "Bio's" in the navigation bar, it will take you to the Bio's page, obviously.   the link for that menu item is:   bio.php.

The bio.php page looks like this:

I would like to put some php code in the header that will automatically detect the title of each page, how can I do this?

so when everything is right in chklogin.php then it open loginsuccess.php after that when all is true then it open
login-index.php after that this page open it show double page one is index.php where the login form & another is this login-index.php at one time

I have script on my web hosts server built into pages that will be offered to the public, eg: index.php will have some script amongst the html, this script calls other webpages on the net eg: wiki.org

Now my question is, when that script runs when somebody accesses that page, will the website eg: wiki.org record the users browser info and ip who called my index page or will it record the webhosts server details as the one making the requests?

Hi guys so i want to make page acces to certain ranks.

So im thinking for something like this

    rank1 -> home.php, admins.php
    rank2 -> home.php
    rank3 -> home.php
    rank4 -> home.php

So the ranks are in a database with the page names. So now when someone logs in they will get a certain rank. So now i need to make a function that will check if the rank has access to this page.

This will detect the current page that the logged in person is at now. But now how do i check if the $_SESSION['rank']; (rank1) has the access to get in page admins.php, and obviously to make $_SESSION['rank'];(rank2) redirect from the page admins.php

Could someone point me in the right direction? Do i select the ranks and page names from database then put it into a array?
