PHP - Send Alerts Based On Mysql Date

Hi. Im searching for a way to enter multiple records at once to mysql databased on a date range. Lets say i want to insert from date 2010-11-23 to date 2010-11-25 a textbox with some info and the outcome could look in database like below.

The reason i need the insertion to be like this is because if quering by month and by user to see vacation days then vacations that start in one month and end in another month can be summed by one month. If its in one record then it will pop up in both months.

I'm working on a project that has a lot of different timezone options, and all I have from the users is their UTC offset.

After weeks of doing tweaks, I come to new issues every time I add something, one would think it would be a lot easier to just get the correct time and day :)

The latest issue is that when I try to rewrite a date to a better fomat, it disregards the GMT offset. Like this:

4/14/19, 12:00 PM GMT+2 (=$date) becomes ... 14-04-2019 10:00 when using this code:

I figured it would just rewrite the format, keeping the exact time. It isn't.

We do have all these sorts of localization functions as well, but because there doesn't seem to be one single standard (each 3rd party API connection we have uses its own default datetime format so it seems).

I would like to know the best practice to achieve the following:

I have a list of dates related to live events for performing artists.  When someone views the web page that contains a section to display the dates, I would only want to show the dates from today into the future and not show any dates from the past.

What is the best way to accomplish this?

Does anybody know how to take the queried standard date format - 2012-04-02 for example - and print it to the page as April 2, 2012? Or at the very least, to switch to 04-02-2012? Trying to find some tutorials online.

I want to establish an interval to determine a past date/time to be used in a MySQL Query but just can't figure the critical part.

Right now it is only returning the first entry, not the entire list that meets the criteria.  It does delete that one file though but does not remover the rows from the database.

I am sure the database stuff is jacked up I am really new to that part.  What am I doing wrong here or is there a better way to do this perhaps

on my yardmaps website, if a user uploads an image taken with an iphone, and the exif data sets orientation to 1, the image is automatically rotated when put through the imagecopyresampled function.

If I take the same image, and strip out the exif data with photoshop (save as for web, no meta data), the image uploads correctly.

Is there any way to force imagecopyresampled to not rotate the image?

I have a MySQL database that has a list of items which gets updated everyday. The database is truncated everyday and filled back with the recent posts. After it is filled out, I need an automatic system that will send out the emails to users who have provided certain keyword. I have a search query in place that will search through those posts, but I cannot figure out the email alert part. I just want to make something similar to a new job alert...

What could be the potential tools that I can use to accomplish this? Currently all my website is in php. Thanks!!

Hi, how to send an automated email to someone using PHP when ever a Ticket's date expires. The date filed in a table stored in MySQL databse. The Ticket table in MySQL has the following fields: 'ticket_id', 'price','purchase_date', 'expiry_date'.  I have already tried with MySQL's Event-Handler feature and PHP's send email feature. Also this can not be done by database triggers as triggers are fired only when the trigger event happens(insert/update/delete) . So, I would be very grateful if anyone help this. Thanks.

Hello everyone.

Maybe this belongs in the Application Design forum but I wasn't too sure so I posted it here.

For my current application, I am trying to develop an "Alerts System".

The main function of the app is to allow a user to manage "jobs". Jobs can be created and modified with ease, each job carries a ton of information, customer id, date, hour rate, duration, address, state, payment state, payment method, etc. So basically we have the table "jobs" with all these fields and some more.

When a job has been changed to "Executed" state, it means the job has been finished and is awaiting payment by the customer, if the payment is already due and the "payment state" has not yet been filled, then an alert should be generated so the manager can quickly take care of it.

I have been brainstorming on how to achieve this, this alert system has to query the DB often to check for "Executed" jobs with "payment = 0". Right now there are more than 50k jobs in my DB, and to run this query all the time is unthinkable...

I can make it so the query runs when the manager decides to check for Alerts manually, but that defeats the purpose of what I am trying to achieve.

This alert system would also be useful for more things:
customers with no telephone number information or other sensitive data jobs that have had their final date pass and still haven't been changed to "executed" customers who haven't had any jobs done in the last year so the manager can either run a campaign or take some other action

I wonder if such a thing is achievable nowadays without compromising the application's speed too much or taxing the server resources too much.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

I am trying to send an e-mail message from a form, to each person in a MySQL database. In some cases, but not all, there are multiple e-mail address in the recordset. Each one should receive the same message addressed to them by name (FirstName and LastName) and e-mail address.  I have tried "CONCAT_WS(' ', emailtest.Pri_EmailAddress, emailtest.Sec_EmailAddress, emailtest.Tri_EmailAddress) AS EmailTo" but it seems the relay account is rejecting the message if more than one address is in the EmailTo result.
Any ideas or scripts that can do this would be appreciated.
