PHP - Get Info From Specific User

Hi - how's it going? I've been working on something with no luck and I'm wondering if you have any ideas. I have two tables; Members and Events. When a member logs in they are redirected to a page where I want them to be able to see a list of events that they have created based on a user ID that is common in both tables. So if the member has a memberID of 123 I want them to see any events that have the userID of 123. I used two different column names just for clarity. I've tried a number of variations on the following code:

Sometimes I get errors, sometimes just nothing. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have two tables.

Table Name:Users

Fields:

User_name
user_email
user_level
pwd


2.Reference

Fields:

refid
username
origin
destination

user_name in the users table and the username field in reference fields are common fields.



There is user order form.whenever an user places an order, refid field in reference table will be updated.So the user will be
provided with an refid

Steps:

1.User needs to log in with a valid user id and pwd
2.Once logged in, there will be search, where the user will input the refid which has been provided to him during the time of order placement.
3.Now User is able to view all the details for any refid
3.Up to this we have completed.

Query:

Now we need to retrieve the details based on the user logged in.

For eg: user 'USER A' has been provided with the referenceid '1234' during the time of order placement
user 'USER B' has been provided with the referenceid '2468' during the time of order placement

When the userA login and enter the refid as '2468' he should not get any details.He should get details only for the reference ids which is assigned to him.

I have this code that will get the absent dates for all employees, how can i make it for one specific employee using oracle id?

the records i am concerned about is for the attendance records table, I have oracle id in that table.

I am trying to build a form that will process all the user inputted information, and put those contents into an html table so that I can send the info to both my customer and myself.  I figured out how to send an email to myself as html, but the user email is arriving as plain text with all the html tags.  Someone had suggested PHPMailer, but I cannot figure out how to format it properly to work with my setup.  I am new to PHP so this is a learning curve.  I have included a sample of my process form with fictitious email addresses. Hello, i am coding a backend portal, this portal will have staff members lets call them 'M1' and each staff member will have a client 'C1'

What is the best way to put this into a database?

do i have a table for Staff? then a seperate table for Members? or one table consisting of staff, with the members details written into the staff's row?

Hi this is what I have set up -

SQL tables -

Members -
memberid - primary key
Username
Password
Orders -
Orderid - primary key
memberid - foreign key
orderno

In my sql table there are two members and two orders.
1 order is assigned to 1 member and the other order to the other member.

After each member logs in I need to 'echo' that order on the page.


I've not been able to write any succesful php code that 'gets' the specific order that is related to the member that has signed in.

I would appreciate help on this!

I have created a session based logon system using php and MYSQL from some tutorials I found online which is working very successfully. I can log on and of and move through different pages with no problems.

My query is how do I output or display the information that is specific to the user which is currently logged on and block access to any other users information. I am quite sure there is a simple solution that is escaping me.

If you could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,   First of all I'd like to say thank you for all the great information on the forums, I've been reading a lot on here lately.   I've started to make a website where users can log in and submit items to a database, which is then displayed on another page. If Tom and Bill both post 10 items, all 20 items will be displayed on the "listings" page, however on the main log in screen Tom will only see his own 10 items and Bill will see his own 10 items.   This is all working perfectly, however, I now need to add a delete button so that they can delete specific items. I have loosely followed this tutorial here to get the table to display as I want it (amongst a few other things, such as the user logins) http://www.wickham43...mphptomysql.php I've added the delete button in the PHP loop for each row, I just can't figure out how to delete the specific row when clicked.   Any help would be really appreciated

I have all the flash code working, now all I need is a way to let users match themselves up to each other without other users being able to barge in. What areas of php do I need to learn about to do this?

Hi guys, in my database i have the table called users, where i have 5 fields (id, username, email, password, user_level) - for the user_level field i have 2 options administrator and editor.   What i want to do is that when the user who is logged in have administrator in the user_level field to see all the pages from backend, and the user who have in the user_level field editor to see only some of the pages from the backend such as newsletter, or messages.   I hope you understand what i'm asking if not fell free to ask me if you need more specific details.   I tried to make a php page called access.php wher i put the following code, but not working

Hello. I'm a newbie so sorry if this isn't the best forum to post my problem.   I am using a MySQL and PHP to create a web app. I have authentication, and I can register users. I also have a form that users provide information and it is successfully inserting data into a table in my database.   I will use fictional fields for my database table called meal_info:   username dateStartedDiet numberMealsPerDay costPerMeal   Problem: Select user-specific data from the MySQL database, using Session username to select only the current user's data, then display it and do some calculations.   Here is thecode at the top, and I am fairly sure it's working:   session_start(); //execute commone code require("common.php"); //includes code to connect to database, etc. if(empty($_SESSION['user'])) 

I am not sure if the title is correct; I tried my best. I'm a PHP/MySQL beginner and I really need some help. I have a small script that I am using for sending SMS. I recently added a phonebook. The problem with the phonebook right now is that it's available to all users, i.e. they can all update and delete all rows. What I would like to do is make it so that each user can update and delete only their own contacts. I have a table call contacts. Inside that table there is first name, last name, company and phonenumber. How can I accomplish this with PHP & MySQL?

I want to know, how I can include only the elements the user selected in my SQL query.
Lets say, User wants to find the Electrical workers in QLD, then he will select Yes for Electrical and QLD as Main Location and the other items he would not touch.
Now, how can I include only those two values in the select clause.
Say, Select Electrical, Main Location from table where Main location='QLD'.
I used POST method to gather users input. I use PHP, MySQL for this project.
Any ideas on how to achieve this.

I have a couple of questions that I hope anyone can answer.

I am making a form that is storing the information in a database, and in this form I also want images to be uploaded.
I want to make a function that allows the user to upload as many images as they would like to have in their ad on my website, and I also need something that can handle the upload process, and see how many images the user is trying to upload. Any easy solutions for this?

I also have another question:
As you can see on the example image underneath this text, I have a form with multiple inputs where the user is suppose to choose how many inputs they want to fill in themself.
How should I store this information in the database, and how can I make a script that detects how many of the forms the user actually filled?

i am new with web socket and in same time I try to make server and client communication for soccer manager application, and for this purpose, i need to create closed "chat rooms" or "games" where two users can watch (read game event) and menage (create) game event (make substitution, formation ... or if you want, to send message to server, that they make changes in formation) this game (room) mast bi secret, and only this two player can use this game for "read" and "write" events in game for example: Game no: 200001 between user A and user B in 14.05. when User A, and User B click on game no. 200001 they can read and write game event. PS: for now, i create basic chat aplication with PHP, jQuery and webSocket and in this app, all user see wath all other user do (public chat) and i want to make secret chat for specific user (already automate subscribed from server) All work with no problem (i work on this example http://www.sanwebe.c...ket-php-socket) How i can create chat room(s) and subscribe user to specific chat room?
