PHP - Php Date Time To Mysql Format

I have a field called date_time in the database which is of type datetime.
I have a form which on submit needs to enter the current date and time in the date_time field.
I know I can get the current time using time()
$time=time();
Can do I do some kind of manipulation using strtotime() and store in the database in  datetime format?

I have a string '12/04/1990', that's in the format dd/mm/yyyy.

I'm attempting to convert that string to a Date, and then insert that date into a MySQL DATE field.

The problem is, every time I try to do so, I keep getting values like this in the database: 1970-01-01.


Any ideas?

I am parsing info from mysql into a php table but the date being returned is in YYYY-MM-DD format and I want it DD-MM-YYYY. How would I do this?

I am importing data from a csv file into mysql.

Everything works fine except that the 'order_date' column in CSV is in the following format mm/dd/yy.

Upon import I would like for that format to be changed to yyyy-mm-dd

I am not sure how to modify the following code to be able to do so.

hi i have a mysql table with upddate and updtime field as follows:

the data types for upddate is mysql date and for updtime its mysql time

In my php page i use Code: [Select]

Hey guys,
How would I go about subtracting Today from a previous day to find the difference?

For example, I want to subtract TODAY from a previous date in my database, to determine if the difference is greater than 1 day.

Any ideas? I tried doing the subraction in TIMESTAMPS, but when I convert the date back to Y-m-d H:i:s, I got some weird year and time.

I am not sure if I am googling this wrong or what. I have several dates in a mysql database that I would like to display in a dynamically made page. Can someone help me or point me in the right direction. I am very unfamiliar with the MySql date function.

I would also like to calculate the days that have passed between two different dates.

Example would be:

11-27-2011 and 12-15-2011 = # of days

I am working on a website for my favorite hobby. I have created the dynamic pages and they are ready to go. I am having trouble however with the dates. I want all the dates to show up as MM-DD-YYYY. Not sure how to do that with a while loop. I am also trying to figure out how to make the date say "Lost Info" if the date is showing the default.(0000-00-00)

PHP date and time function is not showing correct time on my local system

I have the following php code

date_default_timezone_set("Africa/Lagos");

$date = date('d-m-y h:i:s');

echo "Server Time ".$date ."<br>";

echo "The time is " . date("h:i:sa")."<br>";

$current_datetime = date("Y-m-d") . ' ' . date("H:i:s", STRTOTIME(date('h:i:sa')));

Output

Server Time 21-05-21 09:55:39

Expected Output

I have the following doubt.

When echoing from Server like this:

I get the time in the following raw format: 1299272294

I would really like to echo it with this format: Tue Mar 1 23:50:00 GMT-0300 2011

Is there a way I could do that?

I am having a problem with PHP displaying the correct date and time. It updates as it should, but is fast by 4min and is always displaying a date in 2004. I ran a basic php script to make sure the application im using itself is not wrong. go to lunenburgledger.com/time.php

Anybody had any ideas on where to check? The system time on the Windows Server 2003 is correct. The only thing I can think of is that it was converted to a virtual machine on vmware esxi, but the system time stayed right. Any ideas?

OK So I've got a datepicker that sends a date in d/m/y format. My DB stores the data in Unix Timestamp Which I can convert the date to with strtotime however this does the exact date & time.

All I want is the actual day. I've spent hours trying to convert this with just the day with mixed results...

I have a column in an sql database which stores time in minutes.
I'm trying to turn these minutes into this kind of format:
  1:00pm
12:30am
  6:15pm

I looked on W3C and there was the %r which seemed to format this way but I cant get it to work >.<
