PHP - Looping Through 2 Mysql Tables And Update One Table

Hi, what I am trying to do is "update" a mysql table via a form post, instead of "insert into" a table.   I have a selected ID field or RID in the case of my code below...

Can someone help me update the selected RID field with the remainder of the fields from the form above, point me in the right direction?  Thanks.

Hi, when I submit a form I want to update a field in the "daterange" table.  In the form the id field (RID) from "daterange" is selected prior to submit.  Basically, I want to change the STATUS field to B (from A).

The structure of daterange table is as follows:

RID (key field)

PRICE
STATUS

What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

OK, I've taken a look around and cannot find a complete tutorial on how to do this.

I have created a database with a table and the following fields;

id, day, month, year, event, type

What I am trying to do is read the data held in the table by referencing the type field (unique data), have it populate data firleds which are user editable and then once all changes are made have it update into the table.

I can't imagine that this is that hard at all, but I cannot for the life of me figure it out!

Anybody got a tutorial or some code which will do this?

I am pulling 5 addresses and I am wanting to store these 5 addresses in columns in a separate table.  On the query string I put LIMIT 5.  How can I store the results of each of the 5 loops into columns in a separate table?  The columns are A1(for name), A2(for address), A3 (for city), A4 (for state), A5 (for zip), A6 (for phone), A7 (for miles),  .... then I also have B1-B7, C1-C7, D1-D7, and E1-E7.

I am basically wanting to store up to 5 addresses in an array and then update them into a mysql table.

Hi,   I want each new incident created into the t_incidents table by the user to be associated with the AgencyID, a foreign key in the t_users table.   The problem is I do not know how this relationship will work and whether I will need a junction table.   The two tables a

I have a photo album style gallery to build
and
i'm finding it dificult to list all the table names (these are names of photo albums) and then enter the data into a seperate query for each album name (these will change often so i cant keep updating the file as normal. this will then post all the data to the xml file and show the set of photos in the individual albums in a flash file.

i have some code which loops through a table, and displays the results. i have then added extra code so that it loops through another table, and prints out the reults, that are related to the first loop. so the page should look like

This portion is kind of stumping me. Basically, I have a two tables in this DB: users and users_access_level (Separated for DB normalization)

users: id / username / password / realname / access_level
users_access_level: access_level / access_name

What I'm trying to do, is echo the data onto an HTML table that displays users.username in one table data and then uses the users.access_level to find users_access_level.access_name and echo into the following table data, I would prefer not to use multiple queries if possible or nested queries.

Example row for users: 1234 / tmac / password / tmac / 99
Example row for users_access_level: 99 / Admin

Using the examples above, I would want the output to appear as such:

Username: Access Name: Tmac Admin
I am not 100% sure where to start with this, but I pick up quickly, I just need a nudge in the right direction.

The code I attempted to create just shows my lack of knowledge of joining tables, but I'll post it if you want to see that I did at least make an effort to code this myself.

I am trying to extract the sum of a column from my database for each financial year, at the moment I am doing each year as a separate recordset but I am certain there must be a more automated way!

The financial year is 1st April to 31st March each year and I need to create a variable which is a sum of each year, you'll see in my code below what I mean, any help gratefully appreciated as I am going to end up with decades of info in the db and am keen to get the code right now!

Im getting the right response from ajax but I can't put my value to a table I get an alert that says undefined.

Need help in updating the tables

I have array of data coming from a form which I'm inserting in my DB. I have 5 tables

Im able to put the data in the "product", "filter" & "heater" tables but i dont know how to put data inside the "product_filter" & "product_heater" table. Any help or direction to any tutorails is appreciated.

Hello,

I'm new! I am trying to populate a list of locations based on ratings. I can populate the list just fine but it's displaying every record in the table. Is there a way of only looping 4 times so as to just display the top 4 records?

Here's the code:
