I want to add a picture to an existing user. I am trying to display content that will only be displayed for 30 seconds to each visitor. I want to have a unique ID given to each user that visits my page and also add that assigned ID to the end of the URL. If the page is loaded again after 30 seconds, I want the unique user ID to redirect using header();
So When a suer visits my page, I want the end of the url to have “userid=“ like this:
http://example.com/page.php?userid=0000000001If that user comes back to the same url after 30 seconds, I want to redirect using header(); How do I do this? what is the best way? I am trying to add a friendship relation between users, but the friends ID always sets to 0 in the database. Tables: I have a members table that includes all my members information and a user_friendship table that relates each member. user_friendship (friendship_id(PK), user_id(FK), friend_if(FK), status(default=0), date_created) The users id is stored in a cookie called user_id and the friends id is stored in a cookie called v_user_id. Hi, I've read a lot of places that it's not recommended to store binary files in my db. So instead I'm supposed to upload the image to a directory, and store the link to that directory in database. First, how would I make a form that uploads the picture to the directory (And what kinda directories are we talking?). Secondly, how would I retrieve that link? Code Hi. I currently have php java to get my database results and limit the amount of data shown by a given value. The js includes buttons to go forward or backward in the database. Everything is all fine and dandy except I'm trying to add a very simple search for the user as well. I want the user to be able to select either "firstname" or "lastname" to search through the database and display the resulting rows based of the first three characters entered into the search criteria. I'm not sure where to start on this... Do I have to add something the js (I'm not very familiar with js), or should I add mysql_query's in the php linked file? My only guess to how this would be possible is to name the IMG after the ID of the Item, like Item #10 has a name of 10.jpg.
