PHP - How To Print An Array Of $post

If I wanted to print a string that contains a variable that also contains an array, how would I do so? I want to put the resulting echo into a log file.

Example: “These are the books: $userArray and these are the pages: $pagesArray”;

With just an array, I can use print_r($array, true) to get an array formatted for use in a string (which works well for my purposes) but this doesn’t work with two arrays unless I do this manually. (Such as setting the $user_array = print_r($userArray). But I want to write a function that will take a string, potentially containing arrays  (as variables), and interpolate/make them legible for  humans. (Some of the arrays are also multidimensional.)

But it looks like I can't even concatenate a string and an array. $string = $string . $array. gives an error, array to string conversion.


I don’t understand PHP very well so please explain what is going on here. and the best way to record something like the Example above.

The objective is to add a year to the $years_arr array and then print it put, yet I notice that nothing get's printed out. Please assist, if you need more info from my side, please do ask. Thank you very much in advance.

I am trying to break down an array to make it easier to read. An array that looks like Array ( => 0 [1] => 0 [2] => 0 [3] => 0012844 1 [4] => 37 [5] => 1 etc...) I want to display it like: Code: [Select]

i want a php solution to print category names in table headers , unit names in table rows and course name(s) in table caption.I have tried foreach loop but how to remove duplicate entries as you can see category name 1 and 2 will become two separate headers instead of one and same is the case with Course 1 and 2.
i have googled but could'nt find any solution. i don't want to remove duplicate entries , all i want to display them once in a table as described above.

Having a bit of a tough time understanding what is going on in my brain! 

I'm basically pulling some data from an API using CuRL, which is working fine. The structure of the data is:

[data][tickets] - tickets being an array of support tickets in the system, which then contains ticketNumber, title, content. I want to display these values in a list, I have this code currently:

Which obviously returns the ticketNumber, title & content of the first support ticket in the array, but I want to loop through and display that information for each ticket! 

Can anyone advise as to where I am going wrong? I think I need to utilise the ["tickets"][x] but not sure how!

Hello,   I am fairly new to PHP and I found some php code to print an array of numbers that create a combination - however, its slams all the numbers together without a space or a comma separator.   How can I separate the numbers in this array with the given code?  Ive attached a photo of the code.

 

 

 

 

I have a dynamic form that I am writing a script for to allow people to modify the fields of the form. I am taking all of the information that they have entered into the post array.

Where I am having a problem is that it is not showing all of the fields in the post array. One of the fields is an image field and the name of the image does not show up in the array when I do print_r or anything.

One other thing that I would like to know is how to get rid of the submit key and value from the array. I have tried using the unset method but it still shows up in the array.

I seem to be having a problem with this code. It's supposed to parse the file info.txt and explode comma separated values into an array and then add each value from that file to the end of a URL and POST that url. What I'm getting now is just the first number in the array.
Anyway, here's the code:

Now in order for me to post this to the next page, can I do something like

this is just my guess. I want the que_ID to display four choice for each question ID. so it would be Question ID=2(choice1=selected, choice2=notselected, choice3=not selected, chocie4=not selected) and this would be repeated to the next question ID.

So far I can notice that my chociename are added by one(choice1, choice2,choice3,choice4,choice5,choice6,choice7,choice8,choice8......) so my post for loop will not work work as my choices goes up to more then 5.

Hey guys i am currently building a very complex form for one of my clients. The for has ALOT of imputs and can also generate new one automaticly using javascript. My problem is that come of them returns empty arrays while other works. Is there a maximum or some kind that a form can submit at the time?

They should all have values i don't get it ... the only one that has values is invisible3 that has been manualy specified with value="3"

HOW do I automatically get each item above into it's own PHP variable?  The page that receives this Array is the second page of a 3 or 4 page form.  I need to send the above information on through the remainder of the form??

i have a shopping cart set up with mysql with a $_COOKIE['cart_id'] used to call all rows with cart_id... i have a while loop print out all the items in the cart

then i have it echo out the name...desc... quantity of each item... but the quantity is set up to be able to change and i have a form set up and i'd like to have each item be able to be changed at once if they wanted....but being multiple rows... there could be multiple $_POST['quantity']...

there is a unique id for each row in the table that i'd like to set up with an array to post... i'd like to set up an array $array[$uniq_id] => $quantity; and somehow POST this array name='$array[]'

and then on the action end... be able to call it by having foreach($quantity  as $uniq_id => $qty){

Hi - I have an HTML form which is dynamically produced using CodeIgniter / PHP and presents products a customer has ordered.  When the customer has finished changing his quantities they must now submit the form.  My problem is that my form will contain many of the same named fields for example, 'Product ID', or 'Product Name' or 'quantity'. So now when it gets processed a typical post array like product id could look like this:
