Can anyone enlighten me how can i do it? Because i do not know what mistake did i made here. Any kind of explanation will be appreciated. Thanks!

$sql= "SELECT * FROM income WHERE month(date) between '04' and '12' and year(date) between 2020 and 2020"; This obviously selects all the information from April 2020 to December 2020
How do i change this to add a date as well for example if i wanted to display all the information from April 6th 2020 to December 5th 2020 ?
So I'm trying to put a user selected date into a mysql query, but it seems like no matter what I do I get 0 results even though I already know there's quite a few. The way I have it now 'echo $query;' puts out the expected results, but I'm guessing it's because I'm trying to match a date to a string. I tried strtotime but I'm not sure if I was doing it right.. I also tried sprintf() just in case, but that doesn't seem to have a date feature. The variable $realdate is just to show how I was attempting to use strtotime, it's not an actualy part of the script at this time... $searchdate = $_GET['searchdate']; //$realdate = strtotime($searchdate) //connects to db dbconnect(); $query="SELECT `name`, `date`, SUM(`amount`) as `total_money`, SUM(`bricks`) as `total_bricks` FROM Aces_Donations WHERE `date`= $searchdate ORDER BY `total_money`"; echo $query; $result=mysql_query($query); //Opens the table echo "<table border = '3' width = 40% bgcolor=#A85045><caption><center>Rankings - ".$searchdate.'</center></caption>'; //Loop to run until eof while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)){ echo "<tr><td>".$rank."</td> <td>".$row['name']. "</td><td>". $row['total_money']."</td><td>".$row['total_bricks'].'</td></tr>'; $rank++; } echo '</table>'; How would I put today date for instance into mysql_query? I just want the date and have the format be year, month, day. The format in the database looks like 2010-04-05. That being used as an example. And I have three drop down menus, which you can select the year, month, and day, but it doesn't seem to be working. What am I doing wrong? Hello i am working on an application where i want to count from a selected date to another date and query all entries my database right now is composed of the following sales_id barcode_id student_id type of lunch date i have created the count per day, but now dont know how to go about to query the results and the count for the month. Code: [Select] $query = 'SELECT COUNT(*) FROM `sales` WHERE `tlunch` = 1 AND DATE(date) = CURDATE()'; $result = mysql_query($query) or die('Sorry, we could not count the number of results: ' . mysql_error()); $free = mysql_result($result, 0); has any one done something similar Hi I'm having a problem getting a query to work. I have a simple form with user input for start and end date with format: 2009-03-19 (todays date): $Startdate = $_POST['date']; This works well when something is entered into the form, and afterwards using my query: SELECT COUNT(*) as total FROM mydb WHERE Date BETWEEN '$Startdate' AND '$EndDate' ........ Problem is if user submits the form without entering anything in the date input fields, which makes sense. I want to check if inputs has been made, and if not set af default date, but can't make it work: if (isset($_POST['date']) && $_POST['date'] !='') { $Startdate = $_POST['date'];} else { $Startdate = '1980-01-01';} How can I set $Startdate to something that can be used in the query as below doesn't work? Hi,
I can I include a date range criteria to query with in the following code? The date field in the table (t_persons) is IncidentDate.
$criteria = array('FamilyName', 'FirstName', 'OtherNames', 'NRCNo', 'PassportNo', 'Gender', 'IncidenceCountryID', 'Status', 'OffenceKeyword', 'AgencyID', 'CountryID', 'IncidenceCountryID' ); $likes = ""; $url_criteria = ''; foreach ( $criteria AS $criterion ) { if ( ! empty($_POST[$criterion]) ) { $value = ($_POST[$criterion]); $likes .= " AND `$criterion` LIKE '%$value%'"; $url_criteria .= '&'.$criterion.'='.htmlentities($_POST[$criterion]); } elseif ( ! empty($_GET[$criterion]) ) { $value = mysql_real_escape_string($_GET[$criterion]); $likes .= " AND `$criterion` LIKE '%$value%'"; $url_criteria .= '&'.$criterion.'='.htmlentities($_GET[$criterion]); } //var_dump($likes); } $sql = "SELECT * FROM t_persons WHERE PersonID>0" . $likes . " ORDER BY PersonID DESC";Kind regards. Hi. I have an input field where a date is entered, format dd-mm-yy. I need to query the database to see if this date exists. How can I convert the date to yyyymmdd before the query? Thanks I'm getting this error "Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/westiehi/public_html/groupBOS.php on line 36" for this code: Code: [Select] $query_rs_specialty = "SELECT * FROM specialty WHERE Group_Place <> '' and Date>= DATE_SUB(CURDATE(), INTERVAL 6 MONTH) ORDER BY Date DESC"; I've tried everything to get this to take records where the one field is blank and the date is greater than a date 6 months ago but nothing seems to work. Help would sure be appreciated!! Hey, I'm using a script which allows you to click on a calendar to select the date to submit to the database. The date is submitted like this: 2014-02-08 Is there a really simple way to prevent rows showing if the date is in the past? Something like this: if($currentdate < 2014-02-08 || $currentdate == 2014-02-08) { } Thanks very much, Jack Hello. I'm new to pHp and I would like to know how to get my $date_posted to read as March 12, 2012, instead of 2012-12-03. Here is the code: Code: [Select] <?php $sql = " SELECT id, title, date_posted, summary FROM blog_posts ORDER BY date_posted ASC LIMIT 10 "; $result = mysql_query($sql); while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) { $id = $row['id']; $title = $row['title']; $date_posted = $row['date_posted']; $summary = $row['summary']; echo "<h3>$title</h3>\n"; echo "<p>$date_posted</p>\n"; echo "<p>$summary</p>\n"; echo "<p><a href=\"post.php?id=$id\" title=\"Read More\">Read More...</a></p>\n"; } ?> I have tried the date() function but it always updates with the current time & date so I'm a little confused on how I get this to work. I have tried a large number of "solutions" to this but everytime I use them I see 0000-00-00 in my date field instead of the date even though I echoed and can see that the date looks correct. Here's where I'm at: I have a drop down for the month (1-12) and date fields (1-31) as well as a text input field for the year. Using the POST array, I have combined them into the xxxx-xx-xx format that I am using in my field as a date field in mysql. <code> $date_value =$_POST['year'].'-'.$_POST['month'].'-'.$_POST['day']; echo $date_value; </code> This outputs 2012-5-7 in my test echo but 0000-00-00 in the database. I have tried unsuccessfully to use in a numberof suggested versions of: strtotime() mktime Any help would be extremely appreciated. I am aware that I need to validate this data and insure that it is a valid date. That I'm okay with. I would like some help on getting it into the database. Alright, I have a Datetime field in my database which I'm trying to store information in. Here is my code to get my Datetime, however it's returning to me the wrong date. It's returning: 1969-12-31 19:00:00 $mysqldate = date( 'Y-m-d H:i:s', $phpdate ); $phpdate = strtotime( $mysqldate ); echo $mysqldate; Is there something wrong with it? (continuing from topic title) So if I set a date of July 7 2011 into my script, hard coded in, I would like the current date to be checked against the hard coded date, and return true if the current date is within a week leading up to the hard coded date. How could I go about doing this easily? I've been researching dates in php but I can't seem to work out the best way to achieve what I'm after. Cheers Denno Hi, I have a job listing website which displays the closing date of applications using: $expired_date (This displays a date such as 31st December 2019) I am trying to show a countdown/number of days left until the closing date.
