Hi,

I am writing a little code that would populate the server name based on $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']. My code and the error I encounter are given below. Can we ever use $_SERVER in a class?

class Get_server_name {

Maintaining A Detail Result In A Details Page To Other Details Pages

Hi,

I have successfully implemented a master details page with the results aligned in columns linking to a details page.
I wish to maintain the recordID passed from the master details page and make the dynamic text, which reads
Shade
A tree that is capable of.....
in the attached screen shot a link to another details page referencing the same recordID.

The detailspage2.php would look the same as the screenshot except the Shade text and description below will be highlighted, which I can do, there will be a new image and a new image description. All other dynmaic elements on the page will remain the same.

I tried to simply save as my detailspage.php to detailspage2.php and create a link to detailspage2.php. It linked to detailspage2.php but none of the record info showed up in their respective table cells.

I have all the names desc's, images, etc setup in a table in my database.

Please let me know what code and other info you need to help me out with this procedure.

I have inherited some code which has been placed on a new LAMP server, intended to replace an ageing system.The code uses the $_SERVER['REMOTE_USER'] variable but when ran through the Webrowser doesn't work.
phpinfo() reveals that the $_SERVER['REMOTE_USER'] variable does not exist. It does exist though on the server where the code originally comes from.
My problem is how to enable the use of $_SERVER['REMOTE_USER'] on this newly built server.

Need help. I am using $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; in order to obtain the URL that the visitor came from. No matter what I try to change I get more info than required. IE.

instead and what I should be getting is just http://www.aaa.com.au/rob.html

I have a bit of code that's supposed to verify the referring page. If it's processlogin.php, then it allows access. Otherwise, it fails. This works:

However, when I try and show more data on the page, it fails on Reload. At first I thought it was because the page is seeing itself as an invalid Referrer. So, I added the page itself as a valid referrer, as seen below.

Hello, I have a website where only a couple of people can access it, so the number of IPs logged in is very limited. Everything submitted by the 'admins' logged in is sent to a specific folder dependent of their IP Address. Again they can't access the website through a proxy or anything because there's a limited range of IPs that is allowed.

Can I trust $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] to give a valid IP so the log-system would be 100 % stable and efficient ?

Hi,

I have an issue here, after user log in, it will direct them back to the url link '.admin.php', however it has directed them to this url 'http://www.123.com\/admin.php'. As you can see there is an extra backward slash, may I know what would have caused the backward slash? May I know how do I rectify it? Thanks
