PHP - Make Number Smaller? Hard To Title

if i have $big=3410 how can i take the last 2 digits of that to make it so that i only get the 10? hope this makes sence. Similar TutorialsHi! I using PHP - GD to rotate an image and put a watermark to it, that works great! But I want to make the image smaller because the image the user uploads is big. I can make the image smaller by: style="width: 300px; height:300px;" but the quality is not good then. My question is how I can make the image smaller, with GD if that's necessary. I guess I want to keep the proportion so I got a normal picture and not to width or to height or something. I want the picture width a width like 300-320 px how do i know how much the height will be? And do i need to crop the image? And how do I crop the image and still beeing sure to keep the face of the person on the picture? The width and height need to be same at all images! It works and matches the number I want, except it only returns the first character in the $matches array. For instance, if the number it finds is 10, it only returns 1. Now I understand that is what preg_match does, but how would I make that regex ungreedy? I tried adding a *, but it just made an error, and preg match all would keep searching for strings after the first one. All I want is for the first number, regardless of the length of it, to be returned in full. Thanks for any help.

I know my userid is valid and and the date is set above (I've echo'd these out to make sure). Since the id is auto_increment, I do not put that in my sql (though I've tried that too), nor in my params (tried that too). What am I missing? I feel certain it is something small, but I have spent days checking commas, semi-colons and spelling. Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong?
My string is like this: line 1 line 2 .... line 3453 line 3454 etc... I want to split the string into chunks of 500 lines, do something with those chunks and then reassamble the main $string again. The last chunk doesn't need to be 500 lines it can be less. How can I do it? Hello,

I need to display a number(the number is retrieved from the db) in the form input field such that only the last 4 digits is visbile, the remaining can be masked as * or X or whatever is applicable. I know the last 4 can be obtained as follows: Code: [Select] $number=substr($number,-4,4); But when i hit the submit button the form validates the input field and checks if the number is a valid number of a specific format. Therefore when I click on the submit button then I should still be able to unmask the masked numbers or do something similar that would help me validate the whole number. A user has a text field and a button, he enters text in the field and clicks the button it will go to a URL. Once it goes to that URL it has a text field, this field would be automatically completed from what the user typed in at the start. On that URL there is also a button, that is automatically clicked once the text field has been automatically entered.
BUT the user only sees the first page where he entered text in the field and clicked the button. Everything that happens after he clicked that button he cannot see.
Is there a particular phrase you would call this from what is happening? If so, what is it and how would I do it? This probably is hard to understand but I tried :/

Sorry this may sound insane. Is there anyway to accomplish this, using paypal you can creat buy it now buttons and whatnot. The problem with these is you set the price of the time when making the button. Is there a way to set the price with php thus creating a dynamic price instead of a static one? Basically I have a form that asks a registrant their gender and age, then my script spits out a list of race categories they qualify for. The situation calls for the registrant to be able to register for any category YOUNGER than them, but not older. The backend, what stores the data for the report is MS SQL 2005 (and no, I can't upgrade it to 2008, we don't have the licenses for it). When I used one of their examples to login, I got an error stating that the URL, username or password might not be correct.
