PHP - Update Post With Multiple Categories

Hi there,

I have a site that has several different pages which display products from each category on the designated page.

What I am looking to do is create one page that also lists ALL the products.

Right now, in the category specific page it has this is in the code:

My hope was I would simple combine the products like this: Code: [Select]

...but unfortunately it doesn't combine them. Any thoughts? Any help would be much appreciated.

I have been going in circles about how to handle the issue that I have come up with and was hoping that someone could provide a different method. Basically I want to be able to create an infinite number of categories and allow them to be assigned to other categories then making them subcategories/sub sub categories if you will. My initial plan was to use a method I have used before by just saving the parent id of the subcategories and recursively going through the data. However, I am not to fond of this because of the inefficiency that it provides. I did some research and found that method is called the "Adjacency List". I also found another way to do it called "Nested Sets" which seems to be much more efficient but its a little harder to understand / maintain. I was hoping that someone here could offer alternatives to both of these methods that will allow me to keep the efficiency of "Nested Sets" but providing the ease of use / maintenance of the "Adjacency List".

I'm sorting out a simple PHP email form, and I would like, when the email arrives in my inbox, for it to display both the email of the sender AND their name as specified in the form on my website.

So far I have
$from    = $_POST['from'];
with the 'from' being the client's email address. I would also like their name ('name') to show up next to their email in the header.

I have tried such things like

$from    = $_POST['from' . 'name'];
//or
$from    = $_POST['from']; $_POST['name'];

and a few more, but I'm terrible at PHP coding in general. I have searched, but I really am at a loss as to what to search for.

Can someone please give me an idea as to what I should do?

When I try this I get nothing, no changes. In the table there is 3 distinct rideNames each have more than 20 rows. Is there a way using the drop down box and ext field like i Have to update all of the distinct rideNames in the table?

Need help in updating the tables

I have array of data coming from a form which I'm inserting in my DB. I have 5 tables

Im able to put the data in the "product", "filter" & "heater" tables but i dont know how to put data inside the "product_filter" & "product_heater" table. Any help or direction to any tutorails is appreciated.

again, I am really new to arrays and don't know If i am using them right here.........

I have a code that I am using to update multiple products at one time instead of one at a time. It works great except that my processing page is not updating the very last product. My process page is receiving all of my products as I know how many products that I am updating and I have my process page tell me how many products are updated as well as listing the name of each product updated. It is always the last product that is not updated.

I can't seem to work this problem out;

I have a form that is generated from a sql list and have two inputs as follows;

Both are fed to my processing files as arrays, i then run the following foreach which uses the VPPID from the post to search in a database using a where clause.

The problem comes when i also need to obtain the data from the suppliernumber $_POST if any has been supplied.

Hi guys, I am trying to create a script that gets a multiple select form selections and assign them to variables with php via the POST method.

This is my code:

Im fairly new at php and mysql but nevertheless im trying to build a web based campaign game for starwars minatures boardgame. Its fairly straightforward and going well.. However ive been thinking about how it will work and have stumbled across a possible problem (because of my limited craft at programming).

I want to have a single form that updates all records in the tables, this would simulate an "end of turn" button. Im sure i can do this if doing stuff in the game (e.g. move, create , modify, delete, fleets/ships and auto increment ships hulls simulating repair) if it was done on the same page. However i wanted to to initiate some of these adjustments in their respective pages (fleet.php, planets.php, ships.php etc) and then once the user is happy to click the end turn button somewhere which would update all of these things at the same time..

Is this possible at all???

If anybody could help that would be brilliant.

So what I need to know is how I can make it so that each result has it's user id associated with it......and I can update multiple rows at once according to each userid that is associated..........right now I can only get it to do one if I add on ?userid=".$row['userid']." in the first piece of code.......how can I make it update lets say 78 as soon as I click submit......

PS I know there will be a submit button with each row right now.......I will move it out of the loop later.....
