PHP - Auto Update
Hello, I am making a Status Page for servers in general. It has Uptime(In %) and Status(Online/Offline).
I have a database it loads this from, (Failed, Success, and Status) Here's an example of how it works. Code: [Select] Failed = 0 Success = 1 Php code calculates the uptime, and prints 100% Status = 1 Status: Online What I am trying to do, it make the site run through Hosts and Ports at the same time, and update the databases with the updated info. Example Code: [Select] It updates, and Google was offline. Failed = 1 Success = 1 Calculates the uptime to 0% Status = 0 Status: Offline Any way of doing this easily, because this will be something I might release to the public, and I want it user friendly. P.S. This is will be using fsocketopen. So a project I have simply to learn how it is done is to make an auto updating sitemap with a auto submitter. I have been doing a little research on sitemaps but haven't found much in the way of a tutorial or white paper or similar, anyway I was wondering if I am on the right track or not. What I was thinking for the auto-updating sitemap is since site maps are XML, when an article is published using my custom CMS/Blogging system, I make it rewrite the sitemap appending the new URL that will be generated. Then for the auto-submit, I can either make it a cron job or just manual press, but it would go though a for list of URLs, replacing the end part with my site map url. I think that is how it would be done. If you have a better idea, or can point out an article so I can understand a lot more with sitemaps, I will appreciate it, I am trying to learn as much as possible, I have gone to the offical website (sitemaps.org) but it doesn't have what I am looking for. Sorry!</p>"; exit; } ?> Thanks in advance what Im basically trying to do is just like a phpmyadmin function... you select rows you want to update with a checkbox and then it takes you to a page where the rows that are clicked are shown in forms so that you can view and edit info in them... and then have 1 submit button to update them all at once. I created this code to upload a member's main picture on his member page on website. I'll only include the query part of the code since that's what is relevant to my problem. The idea is basically to upload a new picture onto the database if no picture already exists for that member and display the picture on the page. If a picture already exists, then the script replaces the old picture with the new one upon upload. But for whatever reason I don't understand, when I try to replace the old pic, it gets inserted in a new row on the database instead of replacing the old row, and the new pic gets displayed on the web page alongside the old. Hi Guys, I want my UPDATE function from the code below to only update those fields that are NOT empty - if they are empty on submit then do not update or change any values from that field. I know that sounds odd, but with my file fields, when I submit to change something else at a later date it will overwrite the photo, download1,2 & 3 values and as a result I loose my files from the mysql table. When I insert a new row, it will have an ID of 10801 and not 773. I delete row 10800 and I want to insert a new row that has an ID of 773. Basically the code is set for a Factory to produce 750 items every 30 minutes. It does this fine IF AND ONLY IF someone clicks the Factory page. For example, it produces 750 bullets, then I leave the page alone for say 20 minutes, but when I click back, it doesn't have 10 minutes left before the next produce. Instead, It has 30 minutes. So it only produces when someone on the game clicks the page. I have tried the basic html refresh but that doesn't work. Any idea's? Thanks in advance |
