PHP - Query Failed Issue With Php Script But Works Fine In Mssql Manager!
hi i have the script below which copies data from one table to another but will only insert new data update current data or delete old data from tempproducts to products then it will delete the tempproducts from the db however i keep getting this error:

If I copy the echo output of my query as included below it works perfectly in phpmyadmin but doesn't work on a website. Variables all seem to echo consistently/correctly and POST checks seem to verify this is working correctly as well. I worry the error comes with the syntax I used in combining the sql queries. That, or perhaps LAST_INSERT_ID does not work in the php script as well as it does in phpmyadmin. All help appreciated.

I'm restarting this under a new subject b/c I learned some things after I initially posted and the subject heading is no longer accurate. What would cause this behavior - when I populate session vars from a MYSQL query, they stick, if I populate them from an MSSQL query, they drop. It doesn't matter if I get to the next page using a header redirect or a form submit. I have two session vars I'm loading from a MYSQL query and they remain, the two loaded from MSSQL disappear. I have confirmed that all four session vars are loading ok initially and I can echo them out to the page, but when the application moves to next page via redirect or form submit, the two vars loaded from MSSQL are empty. I am trying to do a query on a database that takes a variable from a html drop down box. I've tried so many different forums and can't find the answers.

<html> I have a stored procedure on MSSQL that returns a list of results. This works fine. The results that are returned may or may not be allowed to be seen by the end user. So, if 10 results are returned, maybe 7 of them are allowed to be viewed by the end user. There is a PHP SESSION variable that contains a bunch of codes that is compared to a variable returned from the search result. When these match, the result can be seen by the user. So, I am using a php if statement that echos the result based on the result of the if statement. That works fine. What does not work is the found count for the array. For example, if 10 are found, it returns 10, but the if statement removes 3 making 7 of the results viewable. So, is there a way to iterate through an array result set in PHP and remove results based on an if statement creating a new array? Hope this is not too confusing! I have PHP code that queryies MSSQL for data called kilowatt hours (kWh), set in a combination of three columns. kWh is set into the db table once every minute and it a value that starts at zero (0) at the beginning of the meters life, then continues until it reaches 10,000,000 before resetting back to zero (0). This happens over weeks, months or years, but it does happen. The code I have listed here makes no consideration of this reset. Since we are alsways querying between a start date and a stop date, we need to know the kWh usage between that period.
So, we used maxUsage - minUsage and called that the totalUsage. That works great until the data reset at 10M. At that point, max usage will be some value (ex. 1 kWh), where min usage will be some value (ex. 9,999,999 kWh). the system breaks down at that point. I need to find an algorithm that helps me take into consideration this rolling number set.

I have a page and it will not fopen a new file or an existing one to write. Even though I have a couple of other pages that copy into the same location without trouble. My PHP is 5.2.13 on W2k3 IIS. I have checked NTFS permissions and the Share permissions. The webserver in use is remote to the files. I have turned on File level object access auditing on the Eeyore server (also win2k3) and the fopen call does not even hit the Eeyore server, I can see all other access to the file and folder but nothing from the page in question. Safe_mode and Opendirbase are both unset in php.ini. All I want to do is make a text file and add some lines of text, this problem is absolutely infuriating. Good day dear community. The first '' is the id which gives this error: query failed: Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'id' at row 1 in the database id is a int, with a length of 2 and with auto increment.
