PHP - Upload Script Not Working Online But A Ok On Server?
Similar TutorialsI've been looking for a simple script that would connect to a game server to see if it is still online. I've found many, but not one of them work. They will permanently send back the text "Online", or "Offline". This is the simplest code I have found: <?php $ip = "66.79.190.40"; $port = "27960"; if (! $sock = @fsockopen($ip, $port, $num, $error, 5)) echo '<B><FONT COLOR=red>Offline</b></FONT>'; else{ echo '<B><FONT COLOR=lime>Online</b></FONT>'; fclose($sock); } ?> I'm also looking into getting it to pull the map name and player-list, but I should be able to figure that out on my own once I get this working. If it helps, this script is supposed to connect to the original Quake games(One, two, and three). Hello Everyone, I have been working on this add product script but cannot seem to get it to work when two files are uploaded. All the data is uploaded to a database, including the two images filenames and then the two files are added to the server to different locations. Here is the form: <form action="addnewproduct.php" method="post" name="addproduct" id="addproduct" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <input type="hidden" name="MAX_FILE_SIZE" value="10000000"> <table width="98%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5"> <tr> <td width="28%" valign="middle" class="style1 style2"><div align="right" class="style5">Product Title </div></td> <td width="72%" class="style5"><input class="form" type="text" name="title" accesskey="1" tabindex="1" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="middle" class="style1 style2"><div align="right" class="style5">Category</div></td> <td class="style5"> <select class="form" name="cat" accesskey="2" tabindex="2"> <option value="Boards">Boards</option> <option value="Accessories">Accessories</option> <option value="Clothing">Clothing</option> </select> </td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top" class="style5"><div align="right">Description</div></td> <td class="style5"><textarea class="form" name="description" cols="50" rows="5" accesskey="3" tabindex="3"></textarea></td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top" class="style5"><div align="right">Price<br /> <span class="d">Including </span></div></td> <td class="style5"><input class="form" type="text" name="price" accesskey="4" tabindex="4" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top" class="style5"><div align="right">Paypal Link<br /> <span class="d">Including</span></div></td> <td class="style5"><input class="form" type="text" name="paypal" accesskey="5" tabindex="5" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top" class="style5"><div align="right">Thumbnail<br /> <span class="d">Image should be 100 x 100 </span></div></td> <td class="style5"> <input style="padding:2px; border:1px #999 solid; color:blue;" name="userfile[]" type="file" id="userfile[]"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top" class="style5"><div align="right">Image<br /> <span class="d">Image should be 300 x 450 </span></div></td> <td class="style5"><input style="padding:2px; border:1px #999 solid; color:blue;" name="userfile[]" type="file" id="userfile[]" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top" class="style5"><div align="right"></div></td> <td class="style5"><input class="form" type="submit" name="upload" value="upload" accesskey="6" tabindex="6" /></td> </tr> </table> </form> And here is the script: <?php $uploadDir = 'upload/'; $uploadDir2= "upload/big".$HTTP_POST_FILES['userfile']['name'][1]; copy($HTTP_POST_FILES['userfile']['tmp_name'][1], $uploadDir2); if(isset($_POST['upload'])) { $fileName = $_FILES['userfile']['name']; $tmpName = $_FILES['userfile']['tmp_name']; $fileSize = $_FILES['userfile']['size']; $fileType = $_FILES['userfile']['type']; $largeimage = $_FILES['userfile']['name'][1]; $filePath = $uploadDir . $fileName; $result = move_uploaded_file($tmpName, $filePath); if (!$result) { echo "Error uploading file"; exit; } include 'config.php'; include 'opendb.php'; if(!get_magic_quotes_gpc()) { $fileName = addslashes($fileName); $filePath = addslashes($filePath); $largeimage = addslashes($largeimage); } $query = "INSERT INTO Products (title, description, price, paypal, cat, image, large) ". " has been uploaded"; } else { echo "Sorry, there was a problem uploading your file."; } } } ?> What am I missing? Thanks for any help! I just did a huge import from an app I have been working on. No issues except for this. I uploaded & imported all files & databases from my wampserver (localhost, local server) to my main online server. Before I continue with the problem, I have to give you info on how the files work. I am using a "controller" to view the files. Meaning, from index.php, I call all the files. For example, instead of mysite.com/register.php, its mysite.com/index.php?page=register. The index defines the doctype & html tags etc. The other files that are called through index.php are just pure php code, it does not contain the head & body tags etc. So, the issue is , when the surfer submits a form, i need to set a cookie. this cookie is VERY important. I cannot get it to work. I am getting the header warnings after submit Of course, this is to be expected. But I tried it on my local server, & it worked. I am not very familiar with cookies, this is a side of PHP i never really even touched. I know almost everything but that. So the php code is before the html code on the page, so I figured it was worth a shot. Im guessing the problem here is, since the code being outputted as index.php code + the form page code. So the cookie is being set after the html tags. How can I fix this? I need it to work thru the controller. I cannot just make it a single file, all files on the site needs to be thru this controller, otherwise it will mess everything up. Ino I could just add the code from index.php plus the form page code & just run the php code before all of the html tags, but like I said it has to be called thru index.php. I appreciate your replies, & I hope you guys dont think im an idiot & can understand my question, im terrible with words! Hi everyone, I have a page that i use to upload images to my website, i got a bit fed up of uploading one at a time so i decided to add multiple file fields to the form to upload multiple images at the same time. Im having a few problems, iv read up he http://www.php.net/manual/en/features.file-upload.multiple.php and it seems all i have to do is add [] to the form names to turn them into arrays. Thanks, Faisal I looked for a script that shows the number of users online on the site i am making, and found this. I don't know if it is for just showing if the user is online on that one page like a profile page, or if it is for all users in the database. Also, when using the code, it shows "Users Online: 1" then when I reload the page, it says "2' and again, then "3" even though no users have logged in. Thank You I designed a web form that takes as input a file and that should upload that file on the server. The file is located on the client machine. The page containing the web form is handled by PHP script. I found out (reading 9483658954 forum topics so far) that there are 2 methods for getting a file uploaded. The first one is using FTP, and the second one using $_FILES variable. Unfortunately i have complains regarding both of the methods. Firstly, when attempting to upload the file using FTP it seems that rather the FTP server is calling "upload" a simple copy action (because the only successful thing i could do with FTP was to copy a file from location A to location B, both A and B being on the server) or I don't know to use FTP (which is probably the right answer). Then, when using $_FILES variable, I was forced to include ' enctype="multipart/form-data" ' in the form tag. After a long documentation I finally figured out that by including the enctype blah blah, the $_POST and $_FILES variables were NULL after the form was submitted.Still can't understand why! Are there any other methods for uploading a file from the client machine to the server? Can I get a competent script for this? Hey everyone, I'm currently working on a friends online script and i have a slight problem that i need help with. Basically the code first searches "TBL_Friends" to see if you have any friends added. If it returns results it then turns your friends ID's into a variable. It then searches "TBL_Users_Online" to see if any body is logged based on the friend's ID it returned before. The first bit of the code works and it retrieves all the friends i got added. The second half is odd, if i have one or two friends added it will show that one is online. If i have more then three friends added it returns no results. I know my code is a bit sloppy and probably not the best way of writing it, im still learning PHP. Anyways this is the code, any help is appreciated. Code: [Select] <?php $FriendsOnline = mysql_query("SELECT Sender_ID FROM TBL_User_Friends WHERE Reciever_ID = $UserID"); while($fo=mysql_fetch_array($FriendsOnline)) { $FriendsOnlineID = $fo[Sender_ID]; $FriendsOnlineNumber = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM TBL_Users_Online WHERE User_ID = $FriendsOnlineID"); $FriendsNumber = mysql_num_rows($FriendsOnlineNumber); echo $FriendsNumber; } ?> $SenderID = Friends ID $Reciever_ID = User ID $UserID = User ID |
