Hello. Racking my brains here, having trouble with this. Running a sports league, trying to get the output of one variable at a different font color OR insert a simple check mark graphic. Either way I am stuck. I am a bit out of practice here.

Here is the code. Where is says echo ( Locked) is where I would like to either have locked in a color, say green or red - or insert check mark symbol.

I am novice in PHP, I read book and try to write some PHP code, but I don't have success in that my attempt.
Do someone can to help me? I think that this what I work isn't hard, but I don't know to do.

I need to create in PHP some code which will:

1. In text field I enter some words in 2-3 rows, example
word11 word12 word13
word21 word22 word23
word31 word32 word33
and click to button Convert,

2. After click on that button php script will take that words and convert into this mode:
word11-word12-word13(TAB here without space)word11 word12 word23
word21-word22-word23(TAB here without space)word21 word22 word23
word31-word32-word33(TAB here without space)word31 word32 word33

(spaces between words will convert into - and between first and second mode with TAB)

3. On that way converted text to be saved into new file which will be with name of first line "word11 word12 word13".

I know procedure to make this, but I don't know syntax very well

Can someone write me code or part of code, to give me idea how I to make this?

I'm trying to create a website, that echo's out a bunch of groups, where each group contains a group of checkboxes, containing A value, and a label for the checkbox, the way it is created right now, is foreach that echo's out a bunch of php arrays, which was easier than the static way before - But still, it's static in some way, or not very user friendly at the moment.. Ok this has been driving me absolutely crazy. I have a script that gets called by Prototype's Ajax.Updater() class which should then update a div. It does update the div but a portion of what gets outputted doesn't render.

I've echoed from within the foreach and the following if and the $student variable does have a value, however I'll point out that it also doesn't render but that may be because its not a <li>, I'm not sure. Now, if I take that li element lin end output it outside of the foreach loop it renders just fine(once I substitute the $student variable for a known index of course). Inside the loop it doesn't. I can see it in the source code of the page but for some reason its not rendering. I'll put the output from the source of the page below, the top is the code output from within the loop and the bottom is from outside of the loop. The bottom renders as expected, the top doesn't.

But it just outputs nothing, no bit.ly link.
