PHP - Array Not Working

Hi brains... I must be missing some core concept here that I hope someone can set me straight on..

I have a database query that returns say 8 rows. Here's how I know...

$link6_result10 = mysql_query($link6_sql10) or die("Link6 SQL10 Failed: Function drawInventory: " . mysql_error());
        $link6_rows10 = mysql_num_rows($link6_result10);
        $link6_array10 = mysql_fetch_array($link6_result10, MYSQLI_ASSOC);
        echo "You have $link6_rows10 items in your inventory."; <<---- returns 8


So why in the world does this not work??? What is the flaw in my logic?

$srchStr = null;
    foreach ($link6_array10 as $sn) {
    $srchStr .= " SerialNumber = '$sn' OR";
     echo "SN is $sn ";
     }

The only echo output of the foreach function is "SN is 12345" Not the 8 rows of content that I would expect. isn't this how foreach loops should work? Why do I not see "SN is 12345 SN is 23456 SN is 34567 etc..."????? I'm confused.

I'm trying to do a for loop so the index # increments by one and i only call $r instead $var_name[0], $var_name[1], $var_name[2], and so one. Any ideas?

Hi There,

I'm trying to get the following array to work as a separate include php file to make the HTML easier to follow. Within the HTML it has been working fine, as the "echo $tdata_consent Variable is within the main curly brackets. As soon as I move the variable outside of the brackets I only get 1 item from the array rather than all of the items.

I've got this bit of code:

         unset($t1[array_search($t1_value,$t1)]);

As you can see, I'm trying (in the else statement) to array search $t1 for everything in $needles, then unset the matches from $t1.  But its not working and I'm not sure why.  I also tried...

unset($t1[array_search(in_array($needles,$t1),$t1)]);


But that doesn't work either.  It only removes the "." directory from the array.  Any ideas on what's going wrong?

I'm trying to return to array of letters that bruteForce finally decides upon. However, I can't seem to pass the array to librarySolve.

I'm feeling dumb, any help?

I'm a PHP newbie and I'm having some trouble creating a function that I can call where I can perform a MYSQL SELECT querey which returns an associative array, and be able to pull a value from that array and return it to the call. My code is below. Everything seems to work up until where I try to set the $average variable. If I return $row instead of $round_val, I see me array as "Array ( [user_id] => 64 [AVG(twos_made)] => 5.0000 )" It seems as though my my functions arugment (twos_made - which is my $column_name var) is not getting passed through or something. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Earlier it was giving an error without  if (is_array($link)) {

Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array
However after adding it, it wont go to /hospitals-in/District-of-Columbia which is $link[1][1];

Currently have an array like looks like the following when using print_r($session->items):

Array ( [F1225] => 1 [EDS11147317] => 1 [1156D6RE001] => 1 [I111ADE47946] => 1 [S679AQ339] => 1 [S67914599] => 1 [CH111337631254] => 1 [S6787903647] => 1 [A11144O189] => 1 [F11144520] => 1 [121584Q12] => 1 [I11144661ADE] => 1 [S678829NB] => 1 )

I am trying to check if an item is in the array and if so, display a different result but currently every item says it is in the array when they are not (unless my logic is off...from the items I am looking at some should be included and some should not..but the below code is showing every item as having the same result).

Example:

foreach ($items as $item) {

if (in_array($item->ItemID, $session->items))  {  //$session->items is the array output above

     echo "In Array";

    } else {

    echo "NOT in Array";

    }

}


Currently everything say "In Array" when some should not.  Am I using the in_array incorrectly?

please I have problem with printing out a value from inside an array of a nested json. ive tried several ways its always returns "index not define".
here is the code .

Hi, I'm trying to step through this array when the "further " button is pressed and it should change the image in the div when I echo it out.

I'm getting the following error

I need bit of help, so I am looking into a plugin created for newsletter where default is it shows ad but it has option to remove ads by checking the check box. Default is to send ads in newsletter but if you don't want to send ads through newsletter then check the box. The problem is, it seems like checkbox selected is not being picked up. Some help would be appreciated.
